Best dentist Ive ever had! I dont normally do reviews but I am compelled. First Ill say I have some dental anxiety and so Im not the easiest customer to satisfy. I had a couple problem teeth that another dentist told me to have pulled because the cavities were deep and questionably close to the nerve. One was mis-diagnosed as being dead/necrotic by the other dentist. Just before my oral surgery appt, Dr Flatley fit me in on short notice for a second opinion, and literally saved my teeth. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explore treatment options with me, and helped me formulate a plan A and plan B. Many other dentists just tell you what to do, or rush things along. Not Dr. Flatley. I can tell he cares and takes pride in his work. I cant say enough good things about him. He was able to get me numb where other dentists failed. Part of it is patience. Time is money, but he took the time to let me get numb before starting the work. He uses the best anesthetics and offers sedation and/or nitrous oxide. Even without sedation, he made me comfortable, and did the work without causing me any pain, which was a first for me. In the end, he was able to fill the two teeth successfully, where other dentists wanted to either extract or do root canals. I couldnt be happier, and will be a life-time patient. Highly recommend Dr. Flatley and his team!

I have SUPER ANXIETY from going to the dentist office (even to smells, sounds, tools, the chair). I started my appointment in tears, shaking... and it was just a detailed checkup and x-rays. By the end of my appointment, I was still nervous but confident and smiling and no longer in tears! I felt I had a new group of awesome people on my team to help me with work Ive put off for too long because of my anxiety. Finally feeling "I can do this", and Dr. Flatley and staff were patient with me. The office is simply nice and comfortable. The staff is so open and friendly. Dr. Flatley is so very thorough (I really enjoyed going over the technical aspects), ensuring you get all options presented to make informed decisions. I think I may have FINALLY found a dentist office where I didnt feel embarrassed about my issues, and will help me improve not only my anxiety but my smile!

A quality dentist! Having worked for a good dentist earlier in my life, I have enough knowledge to recognize quality work...I must say Dr. Flatley is a top in the field. My dental history is extensive and I am of an age where even good work from years ago is wearing out! When I started with him 10 years ago, I could tell he was a perfectionist and took his work and my health seriously, and that he stayed up to date as a doctor. However, I could not have known that he and his staff would be there for my weekend emergencies with a graciousness that you dont always find. I recently had to get a new front bridge to replace a front tooth injured 50 years ago and I can honestly say..."I love my teeth". He did a beautiful job...beyond my expectations! In addition, he has cared for my disabled grandson as well as any pediatric dentist! Good man!

This is my favorite dentist, ever. Im in my late 30s and have been to a number of dentists over the years. Dr. Flatley has impressed me as the most attentive and caring dentist Ive been treated by, and his staff and wife Barbara are of the same caliber. Im really curious by nature, and Dr. Flatley took time to explain his key observations and recommended treatments. He also provided a very painless cleaning compared to other dentists and hygienists Ive seen in the past. Most importantly to me, Dr. Flatley and his staff genuinely seem to care about their patients...I wasnt just another number walking through the door. That, combined with their evident skill, will keep me coming back to Dr.Flatley as long as I live in the Gig Harbor area.

Dr. Flatley is an incredible dentist! Ive had him as my dentist for many years now, and I can say without a doubt he is second to none. He is thoughtful, and precise in his craft. Dr. Flatley always uses the latest and best techniques and he has your smile and comfort at heart. As a teacher, I appreciate how he educates me every step of the way. I recently had some bridge work done and Dr. Flatley explained my options and what the best choices were for me. After it was done, the fit was very comfortable. Barbara in the office is helpful, warm, and friendly as well. They make a great team. I would highly recommend Dr. Flatley and his office in Gig Harbor. Give them a try, you wont be sorry.

I recently had my first appointment with Dr. Flatley and I was very impressed. He took the time to make sure I understood all of my options for care, and answered all of my questions. I really appreciate the way he explained what he wanted to do and why. To other parents out there: Dr. Flatleys office has really got the kid dentistry thing figured out. My little girls (2 and 6) were calm and comfortable during the entire visit. The only time my youngest cried was when the appointment was finished and we had to leave! I highly recommend Dr. Flatley for you and your kids.

Hes the Michelangelo of dentistry with a deft command of both old school and ultra modern options. Saved me from having to do a 2 thousand dollar implant by employing a technique most dentists no longer offer because they are lazy. Michael Flatley has been a wonderful dental practitioner for our family for around 10 years. Dr Flatley and his staff are exceptional in providing quality dental care. The office is clean and welcoming and Barbara made scheduling a breeze. My exam was thorough and Dr Flatley took a great deal of time describing his findings and plan of care. I felt well informed and very motivated to take better care of my oral health. Dr Flatley performed my first cleaning and there was virtually no discomfort- though he was kind enough to ask several times.
