First, my pediatric dentist was not kid friendly--no novocain--he was a nightmare. If one cried, he pinched noses and mouths tightly closed. Parents were not allowed with the children His best quality for parents was ON TIME. If you were late, you waited until the end of the day to see IF he had time and would see you. My siblings and I had to have all fillings removed and replaced by age 12 by a competent dentist. Going to the dentist had really bad memories for me. Imagine how very happy I have been after finding Dr. Rioux! We tried Dr. Rioux when our previous dentist retired and we did not like the new dentist or staff. We are THRILLED with Dr. Riouxs dental expertise, office staff and professional dental staff. The amenities of the office are marvelous but Dr. Rioux and her staff make the practice outstanding. My husband needed extensive dental work. Each time, Dr. Rioux has personally called him in the evening to see how he was doing. Thank you, Dr. Kim!

I have gone to this dentist for the last three years. While I have always had a positive experience. I was taken back from this last visit. When I told my new hygienist what I did for a living, her responds was... " and you applied for that". I work in education with highly at risk youth. She later tried to cover herself by thanking me for that work I do in education--however, by that time it was too late. Then while the hygienist and Dr. Rioux new I just had surgery. Dr. Rioux came in and tried to get me to get invisalign braces and expressed the urgency to needing them. However, my teeth are no where near crooked or out of alignment. I left highly frustrated and disappointed. I felt as though I was there just to try and get more money from me... as though I have money to waste, especially after having surgery. Hope this is just a one time situation or they will definitely loose a client.

New to Gig Harbor and saw this lovely office while shopping at Costco. Greeted by a very friendly, helpful front office staff. (Remembered me by name from when I scheduled my appt.) Met first with Dental Asst Tia for new patient info and X-rays..so nice, friendly, and very knowledgeable. (Loved the warm next pillow!) Met with Dr. Rioux next, friendly, professional, and very thorough. Wished Dr. Rioux explained a bit more the numbers flying around, but in all honesty, I could have asked myself for a further explanation. I did ask Tia and she further explained. Next, I met with Dental Hygienist Carey for my cleaning. Again, she was very friendly, warm, and thorough. Very impressed with each and every person I came in contact with from beginning to end. I would definitely recommend Dr. Rioux and her team. See you in 6 months!

Dr. Rioux and her staff are more than a dental office, it is a dental spa! Where else do you get heated neck pillows, blankets, ear phones if you need them. I can smile now and do not leave the office with muscle fatigue from gripping the chair. No pain is acceptable to Dr. Rioux and her staff. They have made sure that even when I started repair 3 years ago that I was comfotable and she uses have the injectable numbing agents than my prior dentist just by making sure I am relaxed. I recommend her to everyone, even to people in other states. It is wirth the plane ticket. To see anyone else is crazy. She even partners with Dr. Birds office if you need an extraction which continues her pathway of care.

My family and I have been patients of Dr. Riouxs for quite some time now. We began seeing her when she took over the office from Dr. Savage and we have had nothing but a positive experience. I have had several medical situations occur that had nothing to do with dentistry and the office staff and she have always been concerned and followed up with me on my next visit. I have sleep apnea and now that Ive learned she is able to help in this area I will talk to her about this during my next visit as Im not having positive results with my current service. I love Dr. Rioux and her staff and would recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Rioux and her staff have been providing my dental care for the last 14 months and I could not be more pleased. Over the course of my life I have had the pleasure (if you call it that) of benefiting from the top practitioners wherever I have resided and Dr. Rioux is definitely at the top of that list. She has replaced old crowns and vaneers as well as the normal annual treatments and the care I have received has been outstanding and the results have been equally good. I have now recommended Dr. Rioux to my family and extended family so that they may benefit as well.

When my elementary school aged daughter fell down and hit her face on the sidewalk she broke one of her new front teeth. I happened to work next door to the school. I called Dr. Rioux and told her we were coming with an emergency. I picked up my daughter and arrived at Dr. Riouxs office probably 15 minutes later where they were waiting for us. By the time my wife arrived about 30 minutes later, Dr. Rioux had already applied an overlay and was doing the final finishing. Mom couldnt tell which tooth had been broken, only Dr Rioux, my daughter and I really know for sure.

From the front office to the back office the communication and process is unlike any dentistry I have ever been too!The front office had great energy and knew how to get the proper information from the insurance company. They have TVs in every room where you can personally change the channel and offer a heated neck pillow! I had the pleasure of dealing with Laurie the hygienist, she was a true professional and insightful about my teeth. On top of that she could hold a conversation. The best dentist office I have ever been too! 5 out of 5 stars!

It seems I dont visit a dentist until it becomes an emergency these days, however, when I called, they managed to get me in for a look-see and decide where to go next within 3 hours of calling in on an early Monday morning appointment. I am very satisfied with Kim and her staff. I have always received care and help whenever I call and I am only one of many who visit and use her services. Thanks very much for being close by now, only about a mile as a crow flies. Wow next visit, virtually Painless, 2 crowns and 1 filling, great job Kim!

Ive been in to see the Dr twice now. The skilled Staff are very efficient with time and the technology. The Dr. really takes time to know you and understand clearly your needs. The Dr. also takes care in recognizing your pain threshold (Big for me). Procedures so far: I had my first visit / thorough examination, measured for Invisalign and had a bad filling replaced. The office is open, bright, very clean and very comfortable. Dr. Rioux was recommended to me by my family Dr.. Im very pleased. Ron Simons Gig Harbor

I switched to Dr. Rioux because I had heard about the wonderful treatment her patients receive from her and her employees. Everything I had heard about her clinic was correct and the care I received was even better than I expected. Her staff is very friendly, welcoming and easy to deal with. I received a more thorough cleaning and examination than I have ever received at any other dental office. Thank you Dr. Rioux, I am very happy with my decision to switch to you and now the rest of my family is going to switch too!
