I cannot tell you how many times Ive left the Santiagos office saying "I love my dentist." Dentistry has had a very long bad reputation to overcome, I think we would all agree. However, if there is anyone out there who is convinced that they will never set foot in a dentists office again, they really need to give Kimberly and Jed Santiago one chance. They are a rare couple, and rare medical professionals. They have worked extremely hard to build a reputable, professional, state-of-the-art, and most importantly CARING practice. I never feel like I am just another dental account; I truly feel that Kimberly and Jed care about their patients. But this office goes beyond that. I have undergone a few tricky procedures--gum grafting, a crown, and a replacement of an old filling. My experience with other dentists with these procedures has not been pleasant or successful, but Kimberly and Jed changed all that experience. Their expertise is absolutely state-of-the-art. And it doesnt stop there. Their culture of caring extends to their hygenists and front office staff. The hygenists are truly exceptional in the fact that your comfort is as important as their own. They have taken care of my pain threshold as if I was a newborn bird...in other words, my comfort is paramount. They offer mild sedation and numbing topicals because they value a comfortable patient. Last, and I by no means least, their front office staff is very sweet and personable. The receptionists set the tone for a medical practice, and the Santiagos definitely "get" this. The front office staff understand that a dentists office may not be a persons first choice for spending an hour, and so they make a sincere effort to engage you as a person and not an account. I appreciate the fact that they offer bottled water and tea, a lovely aquarium to visually relax you, and range of current magazines. However, the wait time is so short, I almost never get to read an article. This office truly cares about dental wellness. Abi

This is an incredible place with incredible people, see below for my rational. Ive been going to Santiago for about three years now, (so 6 separate positive experiences via checkups) since age 18 and I couldnt be more pleased with my experience there. All the dental assistants, dentists and the Santiagos themselves are remarkably nice people. If you tell them about something going on in your life one visit, theyll remember 6 months later the next time and ask you how that trip was, or how you did in football, etc. They notice everything and are people I wish I were friends with outside of the dentists office. Believe it or not I look forward to going to the dentist now. Sure, I have the full week beforehand of scrupulously flossing to impress them, but being there is probably the most relaxing time of the day I visit on. It should also be noted that they are very skilled dentists. Theyve pointed out numerous mistakes made by my previous dentist, give suggestions, and dont shun me for not flossing enough, not wearing my retainer and such. Instead they tell me what can be done in a positive manner. While you would assume (as is the case with most professionals who are in it to make money) they would say well we can do this and here is a treatment plan we offer. instead they looked at my dental or orthodontic insurance coverage and helped me figure out what all the options would be, ortho through other businesses, wisdom teeth through someone else, whatever you want alongside the options they offer. In my humble, but admittedly biased opinion, (on the basis that they rock), these two are an unstoppable force in the field of dentistry and are going nowhere but up. They are caring, positive, giving, friendly, everything you could ask for and more. Go to these two and you will not be displeased, you cant be, they are amazing at what they do. Jeff

I cannot say enough!! My son is 2.5 and was born very tongue tied. His pediatrician told us that it would stretch out and he would be fine. We felt that his speech was starting to be affected by him not having full use of his tongue and after seeing a speech therapist our concerns were confirmed. Our local ENT (we are from Whatcom County) wanted to put him under general anesthesia in an out patient clinic and naturally I was uneasy with my small child being put under for a procedure I knew was very short. I started doing my own research and found Santiago Dental Wellness. From the initial phone call I felt like my son was going to be in good hands. Once we got there for the appointment, from the minute we stepped in, we felt comfortable and welcomed. The lactation consultant, receptionist and Kimberly were AMAZING. They were informative, patient, and understanding. My son was freaked out and didnt know what was going on and they never lost their calm with him. I did much worse than he did and was crying like a small child and they even put me at ease. They clipped his tongue with an non-invasive procedure which took what seemed like seconds. They treated us and every patient that walked in with wonderful customer service. I am beyond grateful for all of them in the office. I know my son was a handful but they handled it perfectly. I HIGHLY recommend them!

**UPDATE** I have since had a lot of my dental work done - 5 1/2 hours in the dentists chair and had it done under sedation. What a way to go! I had a lot of work done. I recommend this dentist and while I have to wait for the remainder of the work to be completed due to bone growth to finish up - Dr Kimberly has listened to me and be compassionate about the process. I believe that my work in my mouth will be done well and all considerations about bite and what is best for me will all be considered before the work is done. Thank you Dr Kimberly and staff at Santiago Dental! Ive had many dental procedures done - and had surgeries and some heavy duty accidents that have changed my bite to my detriment - Dr Kimberly has pointed out that another dental practice didnt point out my MAJOR cavities from a x-ray from 6 months ago! We are going to get this done! Im on the road to good dental health all to good dental practice and an excellent dentist name Dr Kimberly Santiago. I felt warmly welcome from the moment I walked in the door - not from poor dental hygiene - it may be just genetics! Im on a oral hygiene plan and get this done for my overall dental health and that will lead to good physical health! Thanks to a good neighbor that recommended Dr Kimberly Santiago Im on my way! Thank you!

Santiago Dental Wellness came highly recommended and did not disappoint. Personally I am not a big fan of the dentist, but this place is as good as it gets. The entire staff is not only welcoming, but super friendly. I was helped immediately by both receptionists. These two ladies are phenomenal. They are friendly, kind, and extremely helpful as they looked up all my benefits and explained what everything meant. I immediately knew I was in the right place. My first visit was for a routine cleaning - Cecilia was my hygienist and was wonderful. She was very friendly, knowledgable, and gave me the best cleaning I have ever had. Later I met Jed, one of the dentists thats works there. He carefully checked my teeth and explained the work I would need done. He was very professional yet made me feel comfortable like I had known him for years. He was amazing and exceeded every expectation I had. Trust me I have been to a lot of dentists and Santiago Dental Wellness is hands down the cleanest, most professional, and best dental environment I have ever experienced. If you need work or just a cleaning, I would not hesitate to schedule an appointment here.
