i have been a 15+ year patient of Lakeshore Clinic, both their Bothell and Totem Lake location. I might have to rethink this as I have been on a medicine (non-narcotic) for 1.5 years and it has been refilled monthly this whole time. Well, i called in a refill this last week and after a few days of not hearing anything i called the pharmacy and they told me that the doctor denied the medicine. I called the Totem Lake office and they said its been a while since they saw me, so they want me to come in for an appointment. (which i can understand) Unfortunately this is a medicine that you have to taper off of from what i read. Its been 3 days and I have been sweating and feeling nauseous and now I know why. It would have been great if the doctor or nurse had called to inform me that they wanted to see me again prior to a refill, instead, i am left here feeling ill, wondering when the pharmacy will call me with the refill. Now I have to find a way to get off work to see the doctor last minute. Extremely frustrating and really leaves you with the feeling they dont care for you as an individual. Its clear they care more about their liability or money, not the patient.

I called in right at 8am on 9/22/10 when they opened to get an appt for my girlfriend who was having stomach pains. She asked what insurance she had and I said I didnt have it with me at the moment, I was just calling to check and see if they had any openings before I woke my girlfriend up to have her call in with her informaiton. Anyways long story short the front desk lady was very very rude assuming we had no insurance, and started quoting us for no insurance. I hung up and had my girlfriend call in with her insurance, the lady was then fighting with her about how they didnt take her insurance. Long story short again they do take her insurance and now she has an appt. This is not the kind of service that should be treated to somebody who is sick!!! She was telling us to go to the ER and when I checked out their website afterwards, one of the highlighted parts was telling customers to avoid lengthy waits at the ER and come to their clinic. This doctors office is BS, I will never go back. Any suggestions on another place to go in Kirkland would be greatly appreciated!

Everyone needs to know that Lakeshore Clinics have made the choice to not properly cover Medicare patients. If you do not have one of the advantage plans (which take over processing for medicare) that they will take (only 3 plans) then you will not be able to stay with your doctor or the clinic. I talked with Medicare and they told me I could self pay for services and then file form 1490S directly to Medicare and they would reimburse the 80% directly to me. When I talked with the business office for Lakeshore they told me they would not allow that. I have been with Lakeshore and my doctor Paul Mayeda for 25+ years and now I am out in the cold because I have gotten old and am now on Medicare and they no longer want to help. Stay away from this operation. They care nothing about the elderly, even if you want to self pay. If you talk with their business office they will tell you that the Doctors have made this choice as a group. Shame on Lakeshore and its Doctors!!!!!! Be aware of all the negative reviews they have. That tells you something.

I liked my doctor, Paul Mayeda, and nurse, Rosie, while I was a patient here, but the admin staff is a mess! Trying to get anything done over the phone with this clinic = full day of phone tag. The admin staff just dont seem to communicate with each other: they route me to the wrong doctor, dont have my records, and whoever returns my call never seems to know what I was calling about in the first place. I wanted to dump this clinic so many times over the years I was a patient here, but I liked my doctor and nurse so much I kept coming back. However, I just relocated, and my new clinic asked me to ask Lakeshore Clinic to fax my records to their office. Three phone calls and a confused voicemail from the wrong nurse at Lakeshore later, I still cant get this simple thing done. I give up! What a mess!

Worst Experience imaginable. Started fasting at 6PM last night for a 1:30PM appointment today. I fully disclosed my insurance providers when making the appointment, and no red flags went up with the scheduler. But, when I arrived today, the check-in desk claimed that they ONLY TAKE EMPLOYER PROVIDED MEDICARE SUPPLEMENTAL INSURANCE. Someone explain that crazy statement. She was starting to tell me they would not see me at that clinic now that Ive gone on Medicare with that particular supplement (note, that such a policy is against the law). Fortunately, there are hundreds of good doctors and clinics who know how medical insurance works. Now I know why there were so many open appointments when I first called to schedule.

These guys really need to get some proper management in here to get this place straightened out. I went there about six times in eight months and paid my copay every time. Well ten months later I get a bill for an amazing amount for the first visit only. Nothing had changed since then and they threatened to send me to collections because I was passed due....really?....not once when I came in did they ask me or say would you like to take care of your balance...not once! I make plenty of money and take pride in my credit and these vultures dont care. Not only did this happen to me but my girl, who i referred, and two other friends....read the rest of the reviews this is not a place to go for any health treatment.

I have had many good experiences with the BOTHELL clinic location, unfortunately I cant say the same for the Totem Lake location. Reception is nice when I arrive, but most recently I went to see Dr. Moodley and it was a horrendous experience. I had custom orthopedic inserts made for my feet; he made the appointment all about finances, and told me it would take 2-3 weeks to get my medical device. I waited 3 weeks to call because I hadnt heard anything, and at reception, they didnt know what I was talking about and in the confusion they came off as rather rude. I have yet to receive my product so I cant say anything about quality yet, but I have been quite displeased.

The worst service I have ever gotten. Unfortunately my mom started me here when I was younger, so I never thought to change. Once you get to the office, your appointment will start 45 minutes after your arrival time (if your lucky). ALL the receptionists are extremely rude, and like to embarrass patrons whenever they can. Their known for hanging up on people, and the doctors all believe everyone coming there is a drug addict who just wants pills. This I learned a long time ago. Do your family a favor and STAY AWAY!! Not once in the years that I have been going there have I EVER gotten good service.
