my pain due to bulged L4 L5 started in late 2012, while i was training intensely for soccer, i was 180lbs 63", best shape. I went to Meadows Family Chiro for 30-40 sessions. The staff is friendly and professional. After several session and light home exercise I wasnt getting any better. Because of the high cost ($60/session 3times/week) I decided to take a break. My pain almost immediately went away. I felt that the track was doing its thing, but the adjustments were most likely causing the pain. After visiting also a physical therapy clinic, same thing, small breaks in pain but overall still there. Chiro and Physical Therapy taught me light home exercises with light weight or no weight at all, and high reps. I then discovered that, counter intuitive to what Chiro and Physical therapy has taught me, that lifting, squats, overhead press, deadlifts, rows, bench press with free weights might actually strengthen the appropriate muscles, the pillar muscles around your vertebrae, amongst others. I then visited a friend of mine who is a body builder and a personal trainer and taught me lifting and exercising those sets with proper form. It is 2014, I have been pain free for more than a year, while still playing competitively. Not thanks to Chiro. I think Chiro is not the answer and can be damaging to your back for many reasons. They teach you to exercise alongside your 3 times weekly adjustments, and mention the importance of home exercising, but not enough, and certainly not the proper way. They teach you to exercise with light weights or no weights at all, and high reps, partially for good reasons, as lifting with bad form can be even more damaging. Its important to learn proper lifting techniques and add weight progressively as your form improves. But high reps will never build muscle, they will create some form of in endurance, but realistically when your body is constantly put under stress like playing soccer, running suicides, tennis, volley ball, high reps dont build the necessary strength. I actually have no idea what Chiro is good for, i read many reviews and i think people are just misinformed, or unfortunately, out of shape and not wanting to exercise. Find a personal trainer, go to 5 sessions, learn proper lifting techniques, then continue going on your own 3 times a week for 1 hour increasing weight as felt comfortable, and if you have time add 1 hour of sprints a week, and your life will change. Not only you will be pain free, but in better shape and feel stronger. Thats 4 hours of exercise combined per week, you will spend about 3 hours at chiro with no results. Most athletes till this day do these basic exercises and routines that cover your overall body strength. Bicep curls are boring and produce no real results. Its important to exercise the bigger muscle groups. Anyway. stay healthy!

From my very first exam down to my latest adjustment 4 months later I can wholeheartedly say that I have never had a bad experience at Meadows. The staff are all so friendly and knowledgeable. I love that they send a text reminder before your appointment that you can respond to if you have a question or are running late. I really love the efficiency of the open adjustment room (meaning multiple people are getting adjusted in the same room) because its faster than a typical office appointment. I recently completed a 3 month treatment plan to reshape my spine and even out my hips. I was amazed that within 3 weeks I was completely out of the debilitating pain that I had every night after having my second baby. My posture is SO much better which has really helped my confidence! My husband says he loves how much longer my neck is now that I hold myself properly :) The staff really focus on making sure you are holding your spine properly at all times and they give you different strength building exercises to do at home which is KEY to maintaining your adjustments and having a healthier spine long term. I also take my two boys ( 1 and 3 years old) to get adjustments and can see a big difference afterwards, especially with my older son who suffers from night terrors. After he gets adjusted he will go weeks without a night terror! A lot of people say that Chiropractic care isnt valid because you have to continue to go back. I find that argument totally outrageous for a few reasons: 1) Name any wellness doctor that you DONT have to go back to. Dentist? Family Practitioner? Gyno? Health is an ongoing thing that you have to maintain and get help with from time to time. Thats just the way it goes. 2) If you do the exercises they give you and pay attention to your posture at all times you wont have to go back for adjustments near as often, and they tell you that right off the bat. All in all, I am so thankful to have found these wonderful people. Ive now become "that person" who suggests you get an adjustment if you have a headache. Oh, you have a pain? Theres an adjustment for that! ;)

My name is Helen McIntosh Guante, I started at Meadows Chiropractic a few months back, I never thought I would feel this good again at my age.. for many years I walked around in pain, thinking its just a part of aging Or blamed it on my type of work But I was very wrong, Mostly uneducated.. Dr. Jeremy and Leah Meadows took time to explain very carefully in terms I could relate to, Not only did they explain they SHOWED me the X-ray. After visiting a few Chiropractic offices in past years, I acquired a fear of going to Chiropractors due to lack of poor explanation of my problem or the facility was scary and I didnt feel well cared for. Very different feel when you walk into the Meadows place... This husband and wife team are very knowledgeable & highly educated.. they exude knowledge.. which makes me feel I am dealing with top notch people..I now look forward to Chiropractic services. Its an instant release for me and I am 75 % free of pain in just a few months. For me its magic.. I never thought I would be pain free, now I am a true believer in Chiropractic.. The facility is like an place you would see in Beverly hills, I know because my orthodontist is in Beverly hills...Meadows is upscale and top notch and if that werent enough they are all down to earth and very cordial, I love the staff, they are always eager to help me when I arrive. The appearance of this Office also shows that these are people who care about what their place looks.. I do fully recommend that anyone in pain, NOT to simply live with the pain, because pain is not normal, get it looked at by a Chiropractor preferably by Meadows Family Chiropractic I promise that you will be grateful you did... I was the worst advocate for Chiropractic when I was uneducated, thank God, I am now in good hands and dont live with pain anymore, I feel like a new person.. and now a big fan of Chiropractic services... STAY AWAY from this place. I went to this chiropractic place in 2011, because of the 2010 seattle best award. It is a total BS. Let me sum it up how they work: 1. They lay out diagnosis & treatment plan (usually a lot of sessions at least 15 or 20). They said I need 26 session and extra device another $50 or up. 2. They coerced you to buy it, forced you to get the package by saying: "You want to get better dont you?" attitudes. 3. They open at 9 am and I live in Bellevue. They say the earliest appointment is at 9 am. After a few sessions trying to get there by 9 am and leave to work at Issaquah, due to traffic, I tell them, I can not do any more session and want my money back. Suddenly, they are willing to have an 8 am session. What the heck is that? Seem, money is more important. How rude! 4. I come at 8 am, the session is really started 8:30 am. Really?? 5. I finish the 24 sessions, then... they said, I need more 12 sessions to heal. Really? again? I d0 not continue my therapy here. They just want your money, each session is lasted 5 minutes, and not a good one. Especially morning sessions with Jeremy Meadows, no passions, no care attitude, just does the cracking (which is so scary to me), then leave to his room. How rude! I talk to different chiropractors (3 of them), and they are all surprise that I need 26 sessions plus 12 sessions to get better. Based on what diagnosis? what a scam. Also, they ask you to fill out bunch of forms to review how good you are feeling after certain sessions, read the fine print carefully, they want to use it as marketing campaign. Truly, this place is run by a bunch of money driven people. I cannot say enough for you to stay away from this place!
