The Receptionist totally ruins it for the Drs here. The Drs have been great. But the Receptionist Gail, makes them out to look like sharks that are in it for the money and she isnt ashamed to disguise it! I called today to reschedule my appointment. With more than 24 hours notice. I had already had to reschedule it a couple times mainly because they required me to schedule 2 separate appointments for just 1 main purpose. I knew that they scheduled 2 separate appts for the money but I was in a bind so had to go with it (makes me wonder if Gail is on commission there.) Not everyone has great insurance here in Redmond so on top of my co-pay, I get sent a bill on top of that for the office visit each time my son or I go to a doctor. So in this case its co-pay + bill x 2 when most places wouldve taken care of me in 1 visit... Just cant afford it still so rescheduled. Gail did not try to hold back the fact that this made her upset. Told me my reasoning about not being able to afford it yet was used before (duh, its the truth. Im not making up another excuse when the truth should just be accepted.) Then went on to tell me that if I am rescheduling, they will need to charge my Credit Card $50 to make sure I show up the next time. I, of course, asked to cancel it completely and just call in when Im ready which Im sure she wasnt pleased with since ultimately she was trying to make her commission or the Drs money or whatever. Ive never dealt with such a money hungry Drs office. So she had no argument as to me cancelling but made sure to let me know that an empty space in their appointment book is a big loss of money. As if this truly matters to me?? A Dr is losing probably more money than I make in a day, by having 1 appt slot open up. Oh my!!! My advice to the Drs there who have all been extremely nice. Find good representation cause your receptionist is the face of your company and when she puts off a vibe that this clinic is money hungry, people are not gonna refer their friends. People are more than likely going to look elsewhere. You want a place where you can feel like the people there REALLY care about YOU, not just themselves and the money theyre making. Then maybe those slots that open up due to cancellations can be filled by people on a waiting list. People that are loyal to this place because they feel the people there care. Unfortunately Gail made it obvious this was not the case. My cancellation was a huge problem affecting hers and the Drs wallets. Sure left a bad taste in my mouth.

On June 4th 2013 I visited the clinic- Primary Care Redmond and at the time I only had one insurance coverage and that was from Premera. My group insurance - Premera made a mistake, on the effective date of my second medical insurance from Canada, which was corrected after August 13th 2013 and the clinic had already got paid in full for my June 4th visit. On August 13th 2013 in the afternoon Stephanie from the clinic called me to demand that i pay my June 4th visit bill because my insurance company took the payment back.I inquired politely why I had to pay the bill and was told that Premera thought I had 2 insurances coverage and the other one was my primary, so the clinic should bill the primary insurance first. In an attempt to resolve the issue I asked if clinic would contact my primary Insurance Company and the same time I would call Premera. She agreed reluctantly. I called Premera and spoke to a customer care agent and inquired why my June 4th visit to the clinic’s payment was taken back. I was told that there was no such a thing no payment taking back and assured again and again by the customer care rep. that the payment was paid in full and no taking back. Therefore,I called the clinic back and spoke to Stephanie again and told her what I was told by Premera. And that was when Stephanie expressed her discontent and accused me as I didn’t believe her, and that she was going to charge me the phone call by minutes. I tried to calm her down by telling her that it was not personal without any success. I disagreed with the charge on the spot. Then she conferenced in Justin from Calypso to prove she was right. The conferenced call lasted about 10 min. Unbelievably, two weeks later I received a bill from the clinic, which was without any explanations but just $100 with the date charged for august 13th 2013.I called the clinic to clarify the bill and I was beyond shocked to learn that the bill was for the phone conversation which took place on August 13th in the afternoon. I contacted both Premera and Justin from Calypso in an effort to settle the matter. (Justin commented that Stephanie was extremely unpleasant to speak to that afternoon also she seemed agitated) They both spoke to the clinic on my behalf and both were told that the $100 was personally charged to me as an administrative charge. So the clinic refused to bill my insurance company.

Linda Van Hoff is the worst doctor I have ever met. For starters, the communication between the receptionist who made my appointment and Linda was unacceptable. I told the receptionist what my primary concern was and that I wanted to have something checked that I was embarrassed about and it took me 8 years to bring it up and the receptionist strongly reassured me that it would be included in my physical. When I had my appointment finally, she refused to check it. said it was normal, though when Ive spoken offhand with other doctors, they told me they would have to look at it, that it could indicate a need for surgery. I tied to tell her is causes me a lot of pain and I took me 8 years to bring it up with a doctor, but she said no, its normal, if Im really concerned, make another appointment to check it (even though I was told it would be included). Other than that, she basically disregarded anything I tried to tell her about my condition and she would scoff at me- once she even pull an "Ah-hah, I gotcha on that one" moment where she was trying to tell me that coffee and/or a beer is going to affect me as much as taking birth control pills full of hormones? She treated me like I was an idiot and didnt have the years and years of experience living in my body. I know myself better after 26 years than she will learn in 15 minutes, so I was pretty frustrated that she ignored everything. Then she told me I should get a blood test because I have a face piercing and could have a disease... I doubt she says the same thing to ladies with ear piercings. as mine was done in a far more sterile environment than a mall... Her office even messed up on my prescription I was getting refilled. the first one was right, but her office called in (without speaking to me) and had it changed... luckily the pharmacist was familiar with my record, asked me if I had spoken with them and said it must have been a mistake and gave me the original prescription. TL;DR: Linda Van Hoff has a destructive god-complex and doesnt respect her clients. I wouldnt never send anyone I care about to her.
