I whole-heartledly recommend the care of Dr. Kohlers gentle, non-invasive style of Chiropractic. Keep reading to see how he helped my daughter in only 3 visits! It is heart wrenching to watch your child be in pain, so I was elated and relieved when Dr. Kohler of The Vital Enery Center on Capital Hill in Seattle was able to help my daughter go from a 9 out of 10 pain to a 6 out of 10 pain in just 1 visit!! Here is the story of why I sought care for my daughter. She was in severe pain, had lost all use of her left shoulder and there was no accident or injury which started this problem. We went to her pediatric doctor and an orthopedic specialist. Several xrays were taken which were "inclonclusive" and based on her symptoms she was diagnosed with nerve impingment syndrome. The doctors did not know why this happened, yet recommended a treatment plan of physical therapy, with follow-up visits every two weeks to determine if an MRI may be needed. As I am uninsured, this treatment plan became a huge financial burden. I decided I would speak with Dr. Kohler about all this and he recommended I bring her in to see him for an evaluation and possible treatment. The doctor requested her xrays from her orthopedic visit so he would not have to take extras if not needed! Dr. Kohler not only saved my daughter from the dibilitating pain she was in, he also saved me hundereds to thousands of dollars! The first day Dr. Kohler evaluated my daughter she had no use of her left shoulder at all with 9 out of 10 pain. He extensivly evaluated her using various Applied Kinesiology, Range of Motion, Neurological and Orthopedic assessments. He concluded the best course of action for her that day was a gentle, non-invasive adjustment to her lower cervical vertebrae (C5)and had her rest on an ice roll for her neck. After having spent the past 5 days with no improvment or change to her condition I was not expecting much. Yet after only that 1 gentle adjustment she now reported only 6 out of 10 pain! She still could not move her arm, but she was feeling better! The doctor recommended that she come back to see him the in next day or two. I am so grateful to myself for heeding his suggestion! When I brought her in the 2nd time, he had recieved and reviewed the xrays from the previous doctors office and had determined my daughter had forward head posture with loss of her cervical curve and her first vertebrae was out of alignment. He gave her a specialized percise, gentle, non-ivasive adjustment to her first cervical vertebrae and this time had her rest on a cervical pillow, and then an ice roll for her neck. Guess what!? She could now feel her arm again! Not only that, she was able to begin to lift it and her pain was even less now! I am ecstatic to tell you that it has been 1 week with 3 visits and my daughter can now FULLY move her arm IN ALL directions and now only has a 2 out of 10 pain ONLY WHEN she stretches it too far! We will continue on our treatment plan with Dr. Kohler, work on our homecare routine to restore the curve to her neck and educate as many people as possible in the amazing talents and treatments of Jared Kohler, DC!

I first came to the Vital Energy Center a couple of years ago when I didnt realize it but I had a frozen shoulder. My son and I live in the neighborhood and he said to me one day; "Mom you should go check that place out. " And so I did. I had no idea what was wrong with my shoulder. I had lost faith in a previous medical Dr. So was really scared and unclear about where to go for help. I had been to a chiropractor once years ago and it had been so painful that I never thought I would do that again. But this place just drew me in some how and finally out of desperation more than anything, I just made a cold call and made an appointment to go in. I was frightened and in extreme pain with no idea where to turn. And so I was literally brought to tears when after the beginning of my first visit Dr. Kohler assured me that he knew exactly what was going on and that absolutely, "Yes" it could be treated. I cannot sing praises long or loud enough about the wonderful combination of kindness, competency and integrity Dr. Kohler and his entire staff demonstrate as they treat patients. It is practical and has a deep healing effect. And it is absolutely pain free. I had been told by others that my shoulder would take 9 months to a year of physical therapy to fix. However in three weeks at the Vital Energy Center it was 70% better. And within three months I was feeling no restriction or pain whatsoever. In addition they offered suggestions for exercise and nutrition that increased the speed of my recovery. And reduced the frequency of visits I needed to make to their center. Their whole intention is to get patients well and out into their active lives again and "Dr. free" as soon as possible. They are ethical and miraculous, all of them to the core. A year later my 19 year old son suffered a severe concussion and ended up with a herniated disc from his fall. The hospital had told us that he would not be back on his feet for three to six months and he was supposed to take a whole gaggle of medications for pain. Even so he was in screaming pain and could not sleep or function. We went immediately to Dr.Jared. And after one treatment the pain was so much less that he was able to relax and sleep again. (And we threw out all the meds). After three weeks of treatment Dr. Jareds treatment plan had him back on his feet, back at school, and even doing light exercises which increased the speed of his recovery. Again this was miraculous in my eyes. And it saved my son since this was the spring of his senior year in high school and he was able to get back to school and graduate. We will always be grateful to these people. Dr. Jared Kohler, Stephen Wadsworth and Carolyn Story who are the heart of the Vital Energy Center. They saved us..... So I am writing to anyone out there who is in pain and just encouraging you to call by all means and definitely go in there. This is the most wonderful little secret healing place right here in Seattle. It is beautiful and you will feel the power and sweetness there the minute you walk in...Dont waste a moment in pain...Let them help you!

The Vital Energy Center, and Dr. Jared Kohler in particular, has completely impacted my life for the better. Chronic lower back pain has plagued me on and off for years; tightness in my neck and shoulders have become a way of life. As a mother of four children, I have not been able to focus on myself as much as I would like, but the discomfort had grown too unbearable. I sought help from Dr. Kohler last week. He was really nice and down to earth. He patiently and methodically examined me, answered each of my questions with a kind and calm demeanor, and most importantly actively listened to me and my specific concerns. His evaluation was thorough and he was able to localize problems and address them with his gentle techniques, tools, and professional expertise. Dr. Kohler explained what the adjustments would be like and how i would feel, and I’m happy to report that after my first ever chiropractic adjustment I already feel “lighter”, more relaxed, and in less discomfort! I also have a new plan for sleeping and reading, one that will help my posture and prevent developing further neck and back problems. I know it took years for my aches and pains to develop and it will take time to regain my health and strength. could not be more thrilled to be receiving care at the VEC, and look forward to my future visits. Dr. Kohler and his staff at The Vital Energy Center are simply fabulous and I’m so grateful for their help and support and allowing me to live in less pain and discomfort!
