I came in to Vitality Specific after injuring my back and neck squatting too much weight at the gym in May of 2015 as my sister-in-law, Christine Zapata, happens to work there as a chiropractor. My first visit ran over 30 minutes as I had to be evaluated for the extent of my injury including x-rays, and while I dont remember the exact wording, it was determined that my spinal cord was essentially out of alignment. One side was a half inch lower/higher than the other which is a considerable margin (around my hips). There were some flexibility tests that I was given, and was asked a fair amount of questions to help with the evaluation. It was relatively painless, as she would not push me to the point where I was inflicting pain. She also recommended I do some stretches every day that I believe they went over with me, I think there may have even been a handout. Having initially gone in, a couple days after my injury, my back and neck were in constant paint and I couldnt even fully bend down to tie my own shoes, so I had her sign off a note so that I was excused from work for the week. She also recommended I refrain from a good number of activities (most at that point--anything remotely strenuous and some I may not have even though of so as to not make the injury worse and instead let it heal). Fast forward a couple weeks -because I dont have all day to write this and Im not writing a novel- and I was making a pretty slow, but steady recovery, was back to work (though with restrictions on lifting), and the visits (two per week) were a lot shorter, other than waiting my turn in "line" sitting down in the waiting room (which usually moved very fast), including one or two quick, easy adjustments and sometimes followed up by sitting on a comfy, adjustable chair with an ice pack before leaving and setting up my next appointment. Im giving Christine Zapata and Vitality Specific a 5/5 because I feel like the experience there helped me a lot and never once did I feel worse off after going in and having an adjustment, usually I felt noticeably better and one of my last adjustments helped my neck a ton (back in December), a night and day difference, just a week or two before I ended up going skiing. Another thing Id like to mention is I think if seeing the chiropractor for an injury, it should be most always coupled with physical therapy. I did a little over two months of physical therapy between June-early August, and that helped tremendously as well. Between the two, my back is about 85 percent of what it was before the injury, which isnt too bad for having injured it with 405 pounds weighing 180 at the time.

You Ive been seeing Dr Wolff for at least 15 years and have been so impressed with him!! Ive seen him through numerous pregnancies as well as a recent injury. In mid 2015 I shattered 2 cervical vertebrae and underwent a couple of major surgeries. Ive been to PT and seen numerous doctors but to no avail to alleviate my pain. About a year and a half after my last surgery and I was still having issues with neck pain and not being able to sleep. I contacted Dr Wolff and explained my situation to him. I was actually quite nervous because of all the rods, plates, and pins, plus the fact that they had to do bone grafts to help stabilize the shattered vertebrae. I was very happy that Dr Wolff called me himself and asked me to describe my issues to him. He asked me to come in for further evaluation. Dr Wolff noticed my atlas (C1) was out of alignment. He worked his magic and I finally slept the whole night for the first time in over a year. I feel like a brand new woman! I cannot thank Dr Wolff enough for his attention and care. My kids have noticed a difference in my attitude as well. I still have a lot of work ahead, but knowing I have Dr Wolff on my side I feel like I can do do this. I truly appreciate his willingness to help out in a situation where one may feel they are just stuck feeling in pain constantly. He has also treated my children and mother as well, with very positive results. I would definitely recommend him!!!!

I would not recommend Vitality Specific. I went there after a car accident, was given an assessment and told I needed to see the chiropractor 4x a week for a certain period (a month, maybe?) 3x a week for a month(?) after that, and then 2x a week for a while longer - and they insisted that I pre-schedule the entire slate of appointments months out. That is NOT medical treatment, which is supposed to be adjusted ongoingly based on the patients condition, need, response to treatment and individual recovery. Instead it was is a hard-sell services contract. And when, after a few adjustment sessions that had done me no good whatsoever (and a consultation with my doctor who instead recommended physical therapy), I decided to cancel the remainder of my dozens of pre-scheduled appointments, on of the other DCs called me personally to try and convince me not to cancel treatments. I agree with another reviewer who characterized it as more like a car dealership than a medical practice. I have subsequently gotten chiropractic treatments from a different practitioner that were very helpful...and were scheduled on a week-by-week/month-by-month basis only as needed in response to my bodys condition and integrated healing process.

Ive worked closely with Dr. Zapata, Dr. Wang, and Marquesa De Maria LMP on recovering from a high speed auto collision that left me with much stiffness and pain in my back, shoulders, hips, and legs. The treatments are effective and gentle and I have learned a tremendous amount about how to care for my muscles and live in such a way that good health is a natural byproduct of my actions and choices. This clinic isnt just about remedying symptoms causing pain; the staff all works together with you to get to the root of the problem. Vitality has become a good health community and base of support for me in learning how to care for myself and get results. It took a few months since the damage from my collision was deep, but weve not only got that fixed, but now I feel better than ever and am spending less time and energy than before on "band-aids" that didnt ever get to the root of my health issues. Thanks Vitality!

This place has given me some pretty decent help with my lower back pain by adjusting the top of my spine. I am really hesitant about any chiropractic because the two other places I have been too in the last 5 years did not have any impact on my lower back pain. I decided to try this place since they had a completely different philosophy: upper-cervical adjustment. And somehow it has helped a little. It hasnt completely cured me but I am in my 4th week of treatments. I also really like their attitude and how great they are with my insurance, payments, and any rescheduling. To add, the massage therapist, Mike, is great. He has really helped my muscular pain.

Very Convenient location to downtown. I first found Dr. Wolff from reading his blog. I do agree with most of Dr. Wolffs insights. What makes Dr. Wolff unique is his sincere dedication to understanding health and well being. He answered all of my questions. Specifically Dr. Wolff helped me understand how my body (I am 43) can be cared for maximum health and quality of life. I have spent most of my life being hard on my body (wrestling, martial arts, aggressive snowboarding, etc)..now I am at a desk.. I have referred many friends with stressful desk jobs (yes Amazon...). Dr. Wolff, his staff all very professional and on time..highly recommend.
