Ive had back and neck problems since I was a small child. My parents had to take me to a chiropractor at least once a week for years, and yet my childhood memories are filled with lots of back pain. When I was an early teen, my Doctor discovered that my left leg was considerably shorter than my right and that was causing my pain and developing scoliosis. For 15 years I had to buy several insoles and stack as many as I could in my left shoe, just so that I could walk without severe pain in my back or knees. When I was 17 I had x-rays showing that at one point I had broken a bone in my back, and that my body had an extra vertebra (L6) and that was also aggravating my body pain. I have been to so many different types of treatments, and many of them helped to different degrees and sustained for different lengths of time. But I have never seen anything as fast acting and lasting treatment as I have with Dr. Perins upper cervical adjustment! I was sceptical that such a (seemingly) minor adjustment would do much at all. But within minutes of the adjustment, I felt soooo different in how I walked! Even some of my leg muscles were sore by the end of the day because I was engaging muscles that my body hadnt been using before, because of my previous alignment. Its been weeks since my first adjustment and I can already VISIBLY SEE that the backside of my legs are actually getting toned because of my alignment and using the right muscles when I walk. Its incredible! It used to hurt me to sit up straight; I hunched all the time, not simply from overrelaxed or laziness, but it used to be truly painful to straighten my back. But now, it actually feels better to sit up, I feel more balanced in how I carry myself. I sit so much taller, and I dont even try!!! Another thing I love about it, is that Dr. Perin is doing something to make you get healed (not passified) and to not need and rely on frequent appointments! I got my initial adjustment, then the following appointment was the next week, and then the third week I went back for an appointment and but He said my alignment was good and his work the prior week had stayed in place, and so I didnt even need an adjustment because It was still all good! And Ive been feeling great ever since! And guess what? All those left shoe insoles Ive relied on for the last 15 years -I threw them away! because I havent needed them since my first adjustment!!! At one point about 2 days after my first appointment, I put 2 insoles back in my shoe just to see if my body would feel better with them back in. But it didnt at all, and I started to get a headache, so I took the insoles out and my headache went away and I was fine again. So thanks to the upper cervical, I no longer have to wear those insoles in my left shoe to balance out my legs and back! Im not usually into doing reviews and stuff, but this upper cervical thing is too good not to share. I recommend it to everyone! I feel lucky to have found this, and I hope this knowledge starts to really take off and become more common. This discovery is really a gift on earth, and so is Dr. Perin and all the other health and wellbeing pioneers of our time.

I need to start off by saying I read reviews but have never written one before this. I feel that my experience with Balanced Living Chiropractic MUST be shared. I started having neck pain about a year ago, I was told the x-rays showed bone spurs which alone should not be causing as much pain as I was having. An MRI a couple months later revealed that I had Cervical Stenosis - narrowing of the spinal canal in the neck. Turning my head to back out of my driveway became excruciating. I had tried physical therapy, usual chiropractic treatments, heat, ice, etc.... Nothing relieved the pain long for longer than a few hours. A friend of mine knows a lady who suffers from a diagnosis similar to mine and said this was the only thing that helped her. She was kind enough to give me Dr. Perins phone number. I called immediately. To make a long story short, once we were able to determine that he was able to treat my condition, things moved very quickly. I began to see improvement within the first week for sure. Soon after that I could actually turn my head to back out of the driveway - pain free! I could do so many more things that I couldnt do even a month ago. The adjustments are very subtle and I dont even realize that he is doing them. It focuses one specific area in the spine called the Atlas. Each visit, my progress is monitored so I know how far I have come since I began. Although it has only been a little over a month, I have almost forgotten how much my neck used to bother me. I have even referred my teenage daughter here for her knee problems. After discussing it with Dr. Perin, I have learned that a misalignment in the spine can put undue pressure on knees and other joints. My daughter claims that her knee is "so much better" and it has only been less than a month. I am so glad I found Balanced Living Chiropractic and wish I found out about it sooner!

I have been to a handful of chiropractors over the years and have had mostly poor experiences from the conventional "Manipulation" approach. Arrogance, incompetence and poor bedside manner seemed to be the standard practice. This left me hesitant to seek any chiropractic care unless I was in acute pain and even then I would usually leave in more pain than when I arrived....It always seemed odd to me that they were able to "diagnose" my problem in 5 minutes without X-rays or even a thorough examination. Then they typically bent me into some uncomfortable position and forcefully attempted to "adjust" my spine. Then they send you home and tell you to ice it and come back in 2 days. Most appointments lasted less than 15 minutes and the doctors were typically juggling multiple patients at a time. Good for their bank account but not so good for the patient...... I was referred to Dr. Perin by a friend who has been his patient for years. I arrived leery but hopeful as I was having acute pain from muscle spasms in my lower back and desperately needed treatment. I had never heard of NUCCA before and was very impressed by the concept. Dr. Perin stayed late for me and spent almost 2 hours taking precision X-rays, body measurements and educating me about NUCCA before he attempted any procedures. The amazing part was the results. I could barely walk when I arrived at 2:30 and at 5:00 I left standing straight and the acute pain was gone. The residual soreness dissipated over the next few days with the help of some ice and heat. I have been back twice for follow up and the results continue to improve. I feel amazing and am very thankful I was referred to Balance Living Chiropractic. Keep up the good work Dr. Perin and dont forget to call me about that remodel! :)
