I drove from Eau Claire to have an ACL surgery on my golden retriever. Why did I drive an hour to get this done when I could have had it done in town? After talking to my local vet I found out they bring in a Dr. from out of state to do the surgery. This was very expensive and I started to look for other options. After talking with a friend they recommended I call Dr. Brian Woods in Rice Lake. I did and couldnt be happier! Dr. Brian Woods called me personally multiple times to go over the surgery and what to expect. The surgery was not only better than what is offered in Eau Claire but the cost was much less. The professional staff and Dr. Brian Woods have been great throughout the entire process and still contact me regularly to see how my dog is doing. Thats why I used Rice Lake Animal Hospital. Top notch personalized service, much better prices and a very happy and healthy dog! Thanks Rice Lake Animal Hospital.

They seem to be more interested in immediate payment than they are in the welfare of the animals they say they care for. Not everyone has $400.00 to shell out in an emergency, and if you cant pay in total, they keep your animal and charge you daily housing fees. In the meantime your animal is exposed to everything that can kill them. It use to be you could use a post dated check or make a couple of payments. Now they need the money up front to pay off school loans or party. Very disappointed in the service provided.

Dr. Brian Woods took my dog "Juno" in on a Saturday when he already had many other emergency cases. He "fixed" her and possibly saved her life all while texting me updates along with pictures of her resting comfortably and even an update at 1:30am. Overall I thought the price for an emergency visit, overnight hospitalization, blood work, x-rays, IV meds and oral meds sent home was very realistic and competitive. I would recommend this vet and clinic to anyone!
