I have been taking my German Shepherd, Harley here since he was a puppy. The exceptional staff has always taken great care of him. They really get to know all of the pets that they see and treat them like their own. As my dog has grown and gotten older, he has gotten a bit territorial and doesn’t do the best with other dogs, sometimes causing a scene and barking at other dogs in the lobby. The staff here could easily get annoyed and act like they are put out, but instead they go above and beyond to make my experience and appointments more convenient for me, even if it is not convenient for them. I have started calling ahead of my arrival to let them know I will be there, and they have started giving me appointment times where it is less busy and when there aren’t as many other patients in the lobby. Even when I feel like I am being a huge burden because of my dog sometimes and continuously apologize, they do not make me feel that way. They go above and beyond in everything that they do and for that I am so thankful. My mom also takes her pets here, and recently had to put down her goldendoodle, Fozzie bear. She was very torn up over this, and the staff was very caring in that rough time. They even sent her a card signed by everyone in the office. I am always recommending everyone to this place and will never go anywhere else! While a visit to Dr. John at feeders supply may seem like the most logical way to go for your pet’s needs and may be a bit cheaper, the caring and exceptional service for your pet at Shelden’s is unmatched by anyone in town.

Dr Dixon truly made us feel at ease and was very informative. I couldnt have happened upon a better vet for our German Shepherd puppy. Dr Dixon happened to grow up with German Shepherds. We learned so much valuable information, a lot of which I didnt anticipate. He made sure we had ample to time to ask questions, was enthusiastic about his work (it is very evident this is his passion!), treated our pup, Bruno, like his very own. We were sent home with information that has truly been life changing on the home front (trainer recommendations, material to ensure we could choose a pet insurance plan that meets our needs). Our best friends adopted our pups brother. They took him to a different vet in their end of town. Well, Im glad we went to Shelden Vet Care...they identified a rare worms issue that Bruno no doubt got from his mother before we got him. Our friends vet did not catch that for their pup. I informed them and theyve since returned to request the appropriate tests and their pup was positive too, just as Dr Dixon suspected. Super friendly staff! Weve since returned for multiple checkups, and each visit remains as wonderful/thorough as the first!

Yesterday was my first experience with Shelden Veterinary Care and I cant say enough great things! We are first time pet owners and have an abundance of questions about our new puppy. Keondra and Dr. Shelden were so extraordinary in answering and coaching me through every concern I have with Barksdale. They never made me feel self conscious or nervous to ask even the simplest question. Dr. Shelden was such a calming presence for both me and my fur baby. He was completely comfortable around her-- even when getting his booster shots. Keondra went out of her way to sit and talk with me about what I should expect with upcoming visits and that I could stop by anytime with my concerns. I left yesterday truly feeling like we had hit the jackpot with our veterinary choice. And while we were waiting to be seen, it was so nice to see the front desk greet so many clients by name. That "small town" feel is a great comforter. Thank you all for doing what you do with passion and professionalism. It is appreciated more than you may know.

I hadnt been in need of a vet in over a decade but with a new 2 month old puppy in tow I suddenly found myself looking for a vet and not sure of where to go. I went to google for my search and Shelden Veterinary Care was at the top of the list! Their location (practically in my back yard) and all the glowing reviews convinced me this was the place to go. From the first time I reached out to them for an appointment they have been extremely helpful and accommodating. And I couldnt have asked for more once my puppy and I were actually in the clinic for our appointment--Phoebe, the vet tech, was extremely kind and was a wealth of knowledge. My questions and requests were met with enthusiasm and I felt like we were taken care of thoroughly. Dr. Shelden was efficient and kind. She made me feel welcome and I left knowing that I could reach out to her and her staff with any questions or concerns. Im very happy to have found such a facility to take care of all our needs!

Dr. Dixon and the entire staff are absolutely amazing! We first met him when my dog was experiencing terrible stomach issues and anxiety. We came to him after seeing other vets who just wanted to medicate him and forget about him. Not Dr. Dixon. He listened to us and spent so much time with us trying to zero in on the problem all while trying to find the most cost effective methods for us. Not only is Dr. Dixon patient and loving when we are at the office, but he also personally calls to check on my dog after a sick visit and has talked to me on the phone for 30 minutes or more discussing the care of my dog. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of Dr. Dixon and his entire staff, my dog is now happy and healthy with zero tummy issues. I HIGHLY recommend Sheldon Veterinary Care to everyone because they will treat your babies like they are their own.

Dr. Shelden and her staff at Shelden Veterinary Care is simply the best! From the front desk check in, to check out, and everything in-between, the staff at Shelden Veterinary Care is friendly and professional. I have had the privilege of seeing all three of the vets within the past week, as I catch my fur babies up on all of their yearly health checks and vaccinations. From the tiniest kitten (15 ounces) to my 72 lb dog, each were treated in an easy going and stress free way. At every step the vet tech or vet describe in detail what they are doing and provide clear explanation when questions arise. I admire this team of professionals and I will not take my pets anywhere else!

Brought my 9 week old Golden Retriever, Bailey, here for her immunizations and a new pet exam! The lobby was so clean, the staff out front was friendly and everyone gave Bailey love and attention that she loves! Once we got called back (with almost no wait time!!!) Caleb and Dr.Peckham were helpful in answering all of our questions and took such great care of Bailey! Check out was also a pleasant experience- I had about a million questions about different things from microchipping to spay/neuter procedures! They even helped me get a treatment plan to look over and discuss with my family! I would recommend Shelden Vet Care to any pet owner and we will be back!!!
