I wish I could record this review in my own voice because words are not enough to express how truly grateful I am for Dr. Veth and all of the staff at Be Spectacled! Almost a year ago, we found out that my 2 year old daughter was going to need glasses. I searched high and low for a local place to find her the perfect glasses to fit her little personality (you wouldnt believe how difficult it is to find cute and unique childrens glasses). After exhausting my search, or so I thought, I resorted to ordering some frames from a European company online and decided I would just find a local optometry place to fill the prescription. That is when I discovered Be Spectacled. Ill never forget the first day I walked into their store, which is lovely by the way, and was greeted by such warm and friendly faces. They are all so down to earth and laid back that they immediately make you feel at home. And whats more, is that they made my 2 year old daughter feel at home too. It didnt take long for her to warm up to them, which was a first compared to all the other places we had visited in the area. Right then, I knew this was going to be a perfect fit for us. When I explained to Dr. Veth that I had ordered some European childrens frames online because we couldnt find anything we liked locally, he immediately took an interest in wanting to explore the options of carrying that particular brand in his office. When I went back to pick up my daughters glasses, Dr. Veth told me he contacted the European company to see what his options were for becoming a stockist for that brand. It impressed me so much, and really meant a lot to me, that he took the time to try and meet the needs of kids who want some fun and unique glasses. After all, if youre a kid who has to wear glasses, they should be fun to wear, right? We have been in numerous times since to get my daughters glasses adjusted and each and every time, we feel right at home and a part of the "family." I was just there today to get my daughters glasses adjusted and Dr. Veth told me the wonderful news that he became a stockist for the European childrens company and that they were going to be putting in a special childrens section today!!! I was beyond thrilled and even now am finding it hard to contain my excitement about this! How wonderful for a business owner to be so attentive to his customers needs/wants that he goes above and beyond to meet those needs. If you check out Be Spectacleds Facebook page, you will see Dr. Veth hosts lots of fun artistic events in his space after hours. Its not your typical optometry place, as is evident from the piano in the corner of the room and the quality music always playing overhead. I cannot express my gratitude enough for the genuine and friendly service they have shown us. We will be loyal customers for as long as my daughter wears glasses thats for sure. If you need glasses, or have a child who needs glasses, I HIGHLY recommend Be Spectacled. My daughter loves to go see Dr. Veth and that says a lot.

My wife and I had old glasses with outdated prescriptions. For years, we meant to get them updated. Finally we decided to take the plunge and were so glad we went to Be Spectacled. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive without making us feel like we were being rushed. The selection of frames they have made it tough to make a decision since there so many great options, but considering other locations Ive been to where you just pick the lesser of he evils presented, we were thrilled. We both love the frames we chose! Dr. Veth was present that night and was a warm and outgoing ambassador for his practice. A very nice affable fellow with a warm personality. A family with small children came in and he was wonderful with the kids, even doing a Mickey Mouse impression for them! Dr. Veth and his staff are top notch. The location is clean, modern, and very comfortable. Well be back for all of our glasses and contacts needs.

There is a very good reason Be Spectacled has a 5 star rating from virtually everyone that has rated them. I had some issues with one of my eyes bleeding so I began looking for an Optometrist that had good ratings and could get me in. I called Be Spectacled first (after seeing their rating on here) and I got in within hours. Dr. Mark Veth is fantastic. He had a pretty good idea what was going on, how to treat it, and set up a clear game plan. I saw him several more times as he wanted to watch the progress. You can immediately tell he genuinely cares for his patients eye health and them as a person by taking the time to get to know you. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!

Beautiful shop, professional and warm-hearted staff, fantastic selection of frames that you wont see walking toward you on every other face on the street--theres nothing not to love. Even better, its a small owner-operated business, so the personal attention cant be topped. I came in simply wanting to support a local business; five pairs of glasses later in our household, we are loyal patients for life. Dr Veth caught an undiagnosed congenital malformation in my six-year-olds retina and provided us with a referral to a retina specialist. We appreciate both his skill in diagnosing my son and his willingness to help us find the specialized treatment he needed.

Best source for eyeglasses in town! The staff was awesome. The customer service far exceeded my expectations. I felt like I was just a number at the other eyeglass places in town. Be Spectacled staffers were more than willing to help me when I came in. I did not feel like they wanted me to hurry to make my purchase and leave. They helped find the right glasses for me. They were patient and they know their stuff. I love this place (and my new glasses)! You will too.

I had been going to my eye doctor for years prior to Be Spectacled opened and I thought I was pretty happy with my vision. After my exam with Dr. Veth, he informed me that my prescription wasnt where it could have been and after I received my new frames and contacts I have never been able to see so well in my life. I also want to say that the selection of frames/styles available at Be Spectacled is awesome. I will be telling everybody I know to go there!

Recently I contacted around a dozen optical shops around the country by email in order to secure a replacement temple for my Mykita frame. The frame had been discontinued and the part had to be ordered from the German manufacturer. Among the few who replied, only Be Spectacled quoted a fair price. Once they received it, they shipped it at no cost to me to Michigan where I live. That is integrity!

I can not speak highly enough about the quality service from Be Spectacled! Devon and the whole team deserves nothing short of 5 stars! Due to insurance changes I have had to go different places for eye care, however I also end up back at Be Spectacled. They stand by their word and work! They even helped correct issues I experienced at a different optical facility!
