Update. Dr. Jody Ricketts contacted me directly a few days after my visit. She was aware of the situation with the lab breaking my frames and had already started to source a replacement set for me from another local store that carried Chrome Hearts. What a coincidence, as I had already booked an appointment to head over to Blink Optical in Lake Forest, and to my surprise Dr. Ricketts had already made arrangements with them to take care of me. I had no idea she had done this until I showed up at Blink! I wasnt expecting a full replacement or the behind-the-scenes efforts. This was nothing short of amazing. She clearly demonstrated to me that she is committed to delighting and taking care of her patients. Thank you so much, Dr. Ricketts. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Their lab broke my frames and they don’t carry my brands. So I’m out of luck… First of all, I’m sure my experience was atypical. • Staff and Optometrist were courteous and professional • All eye testing was comprehensive • Yes, their lab broke my very expensive frames. You have to sign a disclaimer that if the lab breaks your frames that they are not responsible. I should have exercised more caution here as my frames were not new but I was assured that it was rare occurrence. • Here is where the customer experience went south: o They weren’t going to refund the cost of my lenses and were going to force me to bring them a new set of frames so their lab could potentially put me in the same situation. No way. That was not going to happen. o They don’t carry Chrome Hearts or Randolph Engineering (my brands). It was a nice gesture for them to offer me a third pair of glasses but seriously, why would I want a third pair of glasses especially in a brand that does not suit me and no frames they had on hand piqued my interest. o A better gesture would have been to compensate me for the dollar amount on frames that insurance typically covers. I was not looking for full replacement value. • If they carry your brand I would say take a risk using their lab. • It’s a shame that this was such a disappointing experience. Accountability is everything in retail. • And the kicker here is… I can no longer get my frames that were destroyed as they’re no longer offered by Chrome Hearts.

Outstanding service! Great atmosphere! A truly wonderful place!!! The entire staff made me feel very welcome and did an excellent job of providing the best frames and contacts for me. The staff was exceptional in taking time to get to know me and ensure that they provided a thorough eye exam, and best glasses and contacts options for me. Special thanks to Tom for the outstanding job in picking the most beautiful frames for me....he has a really great knack for knowing what looks good and fits perfectly with my personality! I had always been a Lens Crafters fan - designer frames and ready in an hour... However after meeting the fun people at 730 North, I will remain a client for life. Their selection of unique frames rivals any Chicago boutique. Carol & the staff will not let you leave with just so-so frames. Its not uncommon for me to have someone stop me in a store or on the street to complement my cool glasses. If you wear glasses, you will not be disappointed.

Beautifully appointed showroom with a vast display of frames in unique showcases. Coffee, tea and water offered. Clean, clean, clean exam rooms. State of the art equipment for testing.
