This review is not about DR Roche, rather about his staff. Short Review: The office staff (Laura) was INCREDIBLY rude to me. I ended up just taking my paper work back and walking out. Ive never had an experience like that with any doctor. Long Review: WARNING: You have just crossed into the twilight zone! I had to wait about 3-4 weeks to get a new patient appointment with Dr. Roche. Thats fine. I asked them over the phone if they could send me a copy of the new patient paperwork so I can make sure I have everything. They said they could not. The day before the appointment I got a reminder call from Laura stating that the appointment is at 10AM the next day. So I arrive to the office on time. I sign the log at the front desk and ask if I should have a seat or if I need to fill out paperwork being a new patient and all. Laura tells me to have a seat and she will get me the paper work... All good. I fill out the paper work and have a question about the insurance portion. I am still under my parents insurance and do not have the SSN at the moment. I asked if I could get it after they get home from work. She says "No, you need it now". I feel the rude level slightly raising. I didnt understand why they couldnt just get it later and if the insurance was denied, just bill me (I did not say this). OK, I called and got the SSN. I gave her the insurance card, drivers license and paperwork. She called me back up to ask "Did you finish filling out the paperwork?" to which I reply "Yes". She says "You are missing a page", but did not care to tell me which page until I asked. It was a page that had 3 large Xs on it so I figured it was not needed. She was being rude at this point. Co-pay time! She said your co-pay is going to be $25. So I handed her a credit card. Again in her rude tone she states "Its only cash or check". I responded with "Oh, I am sorry I didnt know. I dont have any cash on me.". And this is where the rude meter goes off the chart... She says "I booked your appointment.". I am assuming she meant the she told me on the phone 4 weeks ago. Which is very possible, but I did not remember. She didnt say it on the reminder call. This is where it gets good. I asked "Why are you being so rude to me?". As she is shutting the glass in my face she says "Ill get my manager". Manager came over and said "I dont think shes being rude to you. You are just a new paitent.". Mean while she was not there when this was happening. I asked for my paperwork back and left. I felt like I was in the twilight zone.

I went to Dr Rouche, because he is our local small town doctor. I knew of his offices reputation of having a terrible staff from tons people, and I must say that they were right. I have never been treated so poorly from any place of business, let alone a health care facility! I thought he was a nice man, however, his staffs rudeness turns a lot of people away, and now I know why. Sadly, he does not seem to care, because there have been a lot of complaints addressed to him about his staff, yet nothing has changed. I work in a pharmacy, and hear the complaints about his practice all day from patients. Turns out, they were not exaggerating. On the other hand, Stat Health was wonderful, their staff and doctors actually cared. I recommend them highly.

His office staff is nasty and unprofessional. They wont fax referrals and even hung up on highly wonderful staff at South Shore Neurologic when they called asking for referral. Roches office manager said they were interrupting her day and HUNG UP, forcing me to have to pay for office visits, tests and IV infusions. Called insurance company, they called and got the same attitude. WORST STAFF, THOSE WOMEN SHOULD BE FIRED.

Nasty staff. Not helpful at all. On Long Island it isnt hard to find a Doctor so it will be easy to never use this one again.
