Would rate zero stars if I could. Swapped our children from Irondequoit Pediatrics to here due to distance, but the 45 min drive looks like it will be well worth it from now on. 11 year old continued getting fevers off and on for over a week and a half. Kept being told it was viral...let it run its course. On third visit to office when he has 103 fever they now diagnosed flu and pneumonia...gave a script. We got to pharmacy and we realized "crud...that med doesnt work on him. Hes very resistant." Tried calling office back. Sat on hold caller 3 for 20 min. Pharmacist couldnt get through either even though she knew exactly what to switch the script to. Drove back to office in person to get it changed and was told "Dr is on lunch till 5:30pm, then someone will call you back." Called back at 6:30pm and asked for update. None given. Just told she would try and grab Nurse Practitioner between patients. Called BACK AGAIN at 7:15pm and asked for them to PLEASE call us before the end of the day so we could get the meds right. They PROMISED someone will call and they wont forget us. At 7:45PM we called again and the office was NOW CLOSED for phone calls even though they were open until 8pm. This time we got their on call doctor who is a local pediatrician. He changed the script to what the pharmacist wanted. Ran out, got the script, came home. Gave him first of the pills, which now he promptly threw up after 10 min. Called the on call back and left a message for instructions on what to do ...administer more meds or wait?? No return call ever came and we ended up at Emergency Room at 10pm. Child had 138 resting heart rate, was lethargic, and have O2 readings in the 80s....was dizzy, vomiting, and was developing a rash. Fever remained high. After 4 hours of treatment in the ED at Strong West (love them) he was stabilized and had meds in him that were controlling vomiting and Z-Pack which was going to knock out what was ailing him. Its now the next day and our 11 year old is 100% better and making a quick turn around. Had they bother to call back he could have been back on the same meds last night that the ED gave him. Wasted trip to hospital and needless suffering for our11 year old while we waited numerous times for call backs that NEVER CAME. Still today no calls...you think they might have seen that they dropped the ball and nobody called us??? This was our first experience as new patients at OOH. Is this the best impression they can muster for new families??? Hey...Oak Orchard Health...YOURE FIRED!!!!

Where do I begin!?.. Ive been calling since 8am to get my daughter in whom has tonsillitis. I sit on hold 15m (FIRST CALLER) finally I hang up, left message. Called back to be put on hold, yet again- this time, caller 5. Ridiculous!! Still now 10am and no call back and cant get through. Not to mention, this isnt the first time. Everyone there is, unprofessional. They never can answer the phones, but when your there you see them all standing around behind the desk doing NOTHING. They always have a huge turn over. I can only imagine why. The only reason I went back to begin with after being disappointed and disgusted numerous times, is bc I love Doctor Goetz, and Jan Saxton. Both amazing, however I feel they are to good for this practice. Oak orchard has a bad name, and reputation. They seem to keep making it worse and worse. Previously experience there is no better- my daughter had to have blood drawn to check her iron @ their lab, and the idot(African American worker) acted like it was her first time. Prob was, wouldnt be surprised. And, she couldnt get do it. She made her bleed so bad trying it was uncontrollable bleeding she got it all over me and Mercede, my daughter. It was a terrible expierence. I hope she lost her job. Thanks to her my daughters now terrified of the lab. And, before that experience we tried their dental. Huge mistake! They dont know how to run a practice, wait time was an hour then we had to wait for the dentist and the hygienist didnt even clean her teeth. First exam was a joke and complete waste of time. She counted her teeth, big deal. I can do that at home. I wanted a thorough cleaning of her teeth. So that was our first and last time at that dental office. Overall, Oak Orchard SUCKS. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. Ive heard nothing but bad THINGS, anyways. I should of known better. I will now withdraw my daughter as a patient and go elsewhere, where they know what they are doing. And, treat their parents with care and get back to them when urgent need of care. My daughter is 3.5 suffering with tonsillitis, but apparently thats not a urgent appointment. Way to go oak orchard. . . Thank you

Like many others reviewers on here, I wish I could honestly give negative stars. This place is a MESS. I understand they are more of a "clinic" and work a lot with lower income familys and patients, but that has nothing to do with their HORRIBLE service. Literally, every*** month Ive called my same exact prescription in, they COMPLETELY screw it up.... And by "they" Im talking about a certain doctor that will be more than happy to tell you about his "Vietnam" stories that have nothing to do with anything, but when you need his actual time or attention Ive literally been told "I dont have time for this, what do you want bc Im busy?!". This place could be soooo much better by getting rid of some "bad apples" that even THEIR OWN staff is openly knowing about. When a doctor sends a percription in wrong by not "checking a very simple box" (CVS Pharmacy), he should fix it ASAP, and not say "oh well not my problem", and pretty much say "screw off". Im trying to live my life, run a company supporting full time employees and their families, and "this doctor" could give less. So sad, bc they do have some amazing staff. If theyre board was smart, they would listen, but I feel they honestly dont care. Ive been going here since I literally was born, but it looks like this ship is beyond sunk and its time to move on..

I went to the dental office at Oak Orchard for the first time recently and did not get a good first impression. The whole office appears dingy and old, then there are chairs in the exam rooms that are so dusty and dirty they look like they havent been cleaned in years. The hygienist I met was friendly, but slow, and they dont wear uniforms or scrubs, just jeans with cheap coats made out of the material they make the doctors office gowns out of. I was in the office for over an hour and a half for a routine teeth cleaning, but 25 minutes of that time was spent waiting for the dentist (they set up a separate appointment to see the dentist after youre done with the hygienist). The dentist then refused to do her part of the exam until my x-rays were sent in because she said she couldnt see anything at all without them. I feel like I should have been told at some point how important the x-rays were, but I wasnt, until after I had wasted my time. Ill be trying a new dentist next time.
