My sister and I went in person to sign-up at this dentist after our previous dentist changed networks. They checked our teeth(and did a x-ray) and the dentist gave us both the same statement saying "You have wonderful teeth". I knew that I had a cavity that needed to be addressed(I knew from my previous dentist, but our appointment for the cavity was cancelled because of the network change), but I thought that Ill mention it at the next appointment that I scheduled. We both set up appointments a few months in advance, because we both dorm at different universities hours away from Brooklyn and had to schedule it for when we returned. We set the appointment during our summer break, and we got a call the day before saying that the dentist is unavailable and our appointment was cancelled. They did not even help us reschedule or call us back to reschedule. When we called to schedule a new one in the upcoming weeks, they said that no appointment was available until the next month(during our semester, so we couldnt accept it). So we tried again, this time during our next return to Brooklyn in several months. The same thing happened; we got a call the day before saying that the appointment was cancelled, and we got no call or help to reschedule. Also, during the full year that we have been registered at this dentist, we received not one call from them besides to tell us that our appointment was cancelled. Overall, do not go to this dentist. Appointments do not matter to them, they will cancel on you without hesitation and make no effort to help you schedule any appointments. Our previous dentist always called us to remind us about semi-annual check-ups, and worked with us to set good appointments. I cant say much about the quality of practice, since I only experienced it at my initial sign-up, but the fact that the dentist said nothing about my cavity after she examined my teeth and mouth is discouraging.

I am extremely disappointed and outraged by the care my husband received. They told us he needed a root canal on multiple teeth. They Gave him 11 shots to numb him and did a root canal. When we went back the doctor said uh oh. My husband had an infection where the work was done. At this point the doctor said now he was going to be honest with us and that the tooth had to come out.and that from the beginning there was a chance the tooth would have to come out. Even though I asked if the procedure would be successfull. Several times we were reassured but now he was going to be honest? After some discussion and a prescription for an antibiotic we left. Although they wanted us to return we longer trusted them. We went for a second opinion and was told they did a root canal on a dead tooth. And that They should have never done it. The tooth had to come out and we saw an oral surgeon who confirmed the root canal should have never been done. They did an unnecessary procedure on my husband for the insurance money. Two. dentists told us this. Stay away.

I am fortunate to be one of the lucky few not to be afraid of the dentist. However, I know there are many who do have an overwhelming fear of getting any type of dental procedure. At A Center For Dental Excellence, from the moment you enter the office, the patient is greeted with pleasant smiles and a very friendly and polite staff. I have been a patient of Dr. Venterina for many years and I am extremely satisfied with the quality of her practices work and their interpersonal relationship with their patients. Dr. Venterina is extremely dedicated to her practice, she truly cares about the oral and overall health of her patients, and she is very friendly and polite and has a great sense of humor that helps her patients relax. My children have also been treated at this practice and they actually look forward to seeing the staff and getting their cleanings. From young children to adult patients, A Center For Dental Excellence treats everyone with respect and professionalism and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist.

I moved to Brooklyn and was in search of a Dentist to get routine cleanings, straighten my teeth, and fix my implant. After doing some research, I decided to take a chance and hope for the best. I have never been a fan of going to the dentist but the staff made me feel extremely comfortable and were very friendly. Dr. Venterina is warm, professional, intelligent, knows her craft and is an artist when it comes to cosmetic dentistry. My implant looks perfect! I have NEVER had to wait when I walk in for my appointment and have been back at least 4 times. I highly recommend all of the doctors at A Center for Dental Excellence!

I am a new patient at the Center for Dental Excellence at 2749 Hyland Blvd in Staten Island. Dr.Venterina and her staff were amazing. From the minute I entered the office, the administration staff had all the necessary paperwork ready for me . The X-Ray technician was so nice and well spoken, I thought he was a dentist .Dr. Venterina was amazing. She was very concerned on my issues and knew my medical history so spent extra time in explaining what treatment I would receive. My wife and I have been going to A Center For Dental Excellence for several years. Upon my last visit, I noticed the new renovations; the office looks spotless and amazing. Knowing the staff for years, I did not think it was possible, but they have become even more accommodating. My wifes car broke down the morning of our appt and they called car service just so we wouldnt miss our visit. I have several family and friends who also use A Center For Dental Excellence and they all agree, they are by far the best. Thank you doctors and staff for always being there as my "friendly neighborhood dentist"

I am not at all pleased with the experience I had here a few days ago. I waited 45 minutes in the waiting room only to be called in, have x rays and then waited again for over an hour for Dr. Venterina to come in and dismiss me in 2 minutes. She literally looked at my x rays said "you need a root canal" and told me to go to the front desk where I was handed a referral and told to find an endodontist. Thankfully I found a new dentist who went over my X-rays with me and what I needed. I definitely wont be coming back here.

I do not recommend this place, they took xrays got there money and she dismissed me like an assembly line. I could have died from the condition I was in. Not even anything for the pain and discomfort. Why do you have to come back for a cleaning? why do you see me for 2 minutes then I have to keep calling you to have a tooth pulled out? I had to finally call and get approval on my own for a dentist who could do the job. I would stay clear from here.

I have been coming here for over 15 years. I am a former NYC Police Officer and I refer all of my colleagues. The staff at this location are the absolute best. They make you feel as comfortable as possible and give you awesome service. What I like the most is that most of the specialists that I needed to see are all in one location. Great job by Dr V and the rest of the Center for Dental Excellence Team.
