I visited this office once in order to receive an annual physical, for which my insurance has no copay. As a result of asking a question about fatigue and how to improve my energy level, I was billed a $20 copay for an illness/injury visit. At no point prior to or during the appointment was I advised that what I said to the doctor could be used as grounds for additional charges, nor was I given the opportunity to decline his advice which, according to their billing department, was "beyond the scope" of an annual physical. After about two weeks of trying to reach this billing department to ask that they resubmit the claim (no one who answered the phone ever identified themselves and typically adopted an attitude of righteous impatience when you asked them anything at all), they informed me they had consulted the doctor and determined there was no reason to do so. (Additionally, they performed a triglycerides blood test on me without having told me to fast, which, when the results were predictably high, they tried to make me retake (again without telling me to fast), despite the utter improbability a man of my age and health would have high triglycerides.)

Ive been a very happy patient of Sunrise Medical at the 55 Greene avenue location,and even before when they had an office in the Flat bush Avenue area.My last visit December 15th 2014,was with Dr. Burack.I have been his patient for over 20 years.This facility is ultra modern with all the state of the art equipment you can imagine.I never have to wait more than 15 minutes to be seen.And the whole staff is very friendly and professional.The bathrooms waiting area and exam rooms have always been very clean and professional in appearance. So excuse me! But I dont know what a few people are talking about, when they say there is dirt in bedded in the corner of the waiting room and bathroom floors and walls And that everything looked so gross there .I dont know what Sunrise Medical Group they went to visit, but it could not have been the same one Ive been going to for over 20 years! Otherwise I wouldnt go- Amen

The Doctors at Sunrise Medical Group are Excellent!!! .I always received professional services. (The Four Stars are for the doctors and other workers who are professional at their job with Sunrise Medical Group). (The NO STARS are awarded to), What is making the Medical Office receive bad reviews, is the Front Desk Reception. On several occasions, I have experience workers being very rude and disrespectful with providing information about accepted insurance, and contact information of there supervisor or manager to f/u with a verbal compliant. Basically, there are a lot of the front desk workers who, (act like products of their environment). I you can interact with a professional customer services representative at Sunrise Medical Group it is will worth the wait to see a doctor or specialist.

I was in desperate need of therapy psychologically. I switched my insurance provider for dental reasons and although I was upset when I came to my appointment to find out they didnt take my new insurance. I was in awe at the concern the physician showed for my wellbeing. You just dont find genuine care nowadays. You only get the care your money can afford you. I called immediately to have my old insurance reinstated because I just cannot imagine going to doctor and wonder if they genuinely love what they do and want to see people healed by any means necessary. I rather stay where I know they care. Thank You! Sunrise Staff you all have truly cause the Sun to Rise on my gloomy day!

These guys have been my go to for last 5 years. I have seen a few of the Doctors, all are good but Maung is who i see regularly. Shes been great at diagnosing things others have overlooked and shes easy to talk to. The wait time is usually pretty reasonable when i go (usually middle of a weekday). The staff had greatly improved over the last few years. They used to seem slightly annoyed that you were there but lately theyre very friendly and accommodating. The phlebotomists are gentle , kind and usually have a good sense of humor which i appreciate. I also had good experience today with a nurse named Kim. I would definitely recommend. Thanks!

This is the worst doctor experience Ive ever had! First the office is super gross you can see the dirt caked on the edge of walls and the bathrooms are yuckie. I had to wait a whole hour to been seen! I had to remind the nurse to put gloves on while taking my blood. Lastly Ive called 15 times in the past week and spoken to real people five times but no one ever gave me my test results. THIS PLACE IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! SO DIRTY AND GROSS!!!!

I have been attending this clinic, and seeing Dr. Burack for over 10 yrs, and i travel all the way from the Bronx. I absolutely love it. Very professional, No wait time. No nonsense in the waiting area. Also open 7 days a week is a plus. Parking can be tricky if you are driving.
