Never in my life has anyone ever spoken to me as disrespectfully as the women in this office did. I would not send my enemies dog to this "hospital". I walked in on business from a family member and was berated and screamed at by the "goth girl" in the back. The "goth girl" did not even introduce herself to me before screaming that she went above and beyond and how dare my family member threaten to call News 12 for service that was under par and medication they had previously discussed and decided to refund. I informed this woman numerous times that I am not my family member I am merely the messenger and do NOT appreciate being spoken to in a disrespectful manner. She continued to carry on about how she went above and beyond and now she has to "eat it". Finally I became so aggravated that I told her that I myself WILL call the news and let them know how customers are treated in this office if they do not just refund the money. To which I was told to tell my family member if they want the records for the pet they can come get them themselves. I said I want the records now then the secretary tried to smooth things over by saying my family member was rude and they really did a lot to which I responded once again I am not said family member I am merely the messenger and for your employee to speak to me disrespectfully is uncalled for and someone should speak with her about customer service skills. After a torturous time, I finally received the refund and records and will NEVER be returning to that office again. I also encourage other pet owners to save themselves the time, MONEY, and hassle and go to any of the other vets on Middle Country. The Animal Medical Hospital of Centereach has no respect for humans so I doubt highly how much they respect our animals.

I brought a rat to Dr.Greco under the assumption that he was a rather competent exotic veterinarian. When I first arrived, the door was locked and I was greeted by a slobby looking man, who, after about 5 minutes of standing in the rain, let us in without a word. The secretaries were extremely standoffish (when they finally mozied out from the back room to process us). After about 10 minutes, the same sloppy looking man greeted us as the veterinarian. After viewing the accolades hanging on the walls of the office (which he felt the need to make reference to), He took a quick look at my rat. In his ears and eyes and not much else. We asked if he might do a panel to check for disease and he declined and said it wouldnt be necessary. After our lightning quick visit, I was promptly charged $75 (for what?) and given a "clean bill of health". They recommended I bring him back for a neuter in 2 months (absurdly late in his life for this operation). About a week later, my rat, after acting extremely sluggish, died in the night time. I cant help but wonder if Dr.Greco put just a little bit more effort in, my rat would still be alive. In addition, I used to work for one of Dr.Grecos high profile clients who does reptile shows in this area. I was SHOCKED to learn that the animals had even been "cleared" by a vet because of their horrible and in some cases near fatal conditions. If you want to skip the attitude from the secretaries, and paying a fortune for no more than 5 hot minutes of this so called "renowned" doctors time, skip this vet. Head 20 minutes east to Paumanok and I PROMISE you will leave feeling like you got your moneys worth.

I brought in 2 of my cats. One was to get a check up before he got fixed (which I adopted him and was given a cert. to get here to get him fixed for free) and the other was to check out bumps on her back. The cat that had issues with the bump on her back the dr. just did a comb through and said its no fleas but told me to get a flea and tic treatment (not fleas how would that help??) . He didnt look in her ears or cut her claws after I asked.. offered me no help or advice. didnt want to run blood work or anything. The cat who was getting fixed was not suppose to have blood work done as per the form from the adoption agency. Well he did and they charged me for it... but they took him out of the room to do it (not sure why but the patient ahead of me that didnt happen to) - he took the needle and my cat out but left the viles in the room and was only gone for about 10 seconds and came back.. which makes me feel like they didnt really take his blood.. so $300 later and no answers I will NOT BE GOING back. I am going to go to my normal vet to get him fixed.. I dont care that I have to pay for it now bc at least I know it will be safe. The fact that my cat is having unexplainable bumps and they did NOTHING TO HELP her is a bunch of BS. The only good thing I can say is the girls at the front desk were nice as well as the vet tech that came in the room... he seemed to care more than the Dr.

Reading the reviews, Animal Medical Hospital of Centereach appears to be mixed. However, my experiences with respect to spaying a feral animal have been incredibly positive. I was introduced to the Animal Medical Hospital of Centerreach by BanField Pet Hospital in Huntington Station, NY; it was advised that this was a location that will assist with a trap and release program for feral cats, which is exactly what I needed. The staff was incredibly friendly, and appeared to genuinely care about animals. Moreover, for trap and release, the prices are incredibly cheap, and the staff will explain to you how their pricing plan works (for example, pregnant stray cats will cost more to spay, and you can optionally attempt to resuscitate a stray for $250 if any complications arise). I have had no issues with the feral cat being spayed, and I would recommend considering this Animal Hospital. Thank you all for your help-- our community and our awesome furry friends appreciate it :-).

I have been bringing Ellie my sugar glider here for the last month! I described her symptoms for Dr Greco, and he knew right away that Ellie had HLP. He prescribed medicine right on the spot which really helped and recommended a snack Ellie could have to help with her calcium deficiency. I also brought Ellie for a fecal test and Dr. Greco called early the next morning with Ellies Results! The nurse I believe to be named Brianna was very caring towards my little girl, and seemed to show a love for Ellie and I felt comfortable letting her handle Ellie. She even cut her nails for free! Its hard to fid a sugie vet, and eve though some info was given that I was not completely in agreement, I keep in mind that in everything else the Dr. and Staff seemed competent! They have a referral program as well. Ill update this review while I continue going here over the years!

I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy. My daughter had been taking her dog there for a few months because of coughing. They took blood, did x-rays. etc and told her the dog either had an infection on the lung or cancer but they couldnt be sure without an extremely expensive biopsy. But they did give her medication which helped as long as she was taking it. Well, over this past weekend she started vomiting and wasnt eating. My daughter took her to an emergency vet who took one look at the x-rays and said she had lung cancer, her one lung had collapsed, her liver was shot, her kidneys were shutting down and she was dehydrated. Needless to say, they had to put her to sleep. I told my daughter from day one that this place didnt know what the hell they were doing and that she should go elsewhere. RIP little Molly!
