I very rarely write reviews, good or bad. But this review is a no brainer. I am in my 50s and have been to MANY dermatologists over the last 30 odd years. Most of them never really did much to impress me. I have been to the Islip office of this practice and was not overly thrilled. I figured Id try the Commack office and with out a referral from someone I just decided to try Dr. Papantoniou (Dr. P). Best choice ever!. She is amazing. Totally REAL, down to earth, cares more than ANY doctor I have ever seen and knows what she is doing. The staff is equally amazing. They smile, laugh, are polite and very accommodating. How many doctor offices can you say that about? Debbie Rossi who does "special service" appointments is wonderful. Listen sometimes doctors run behind and Im not big on waiting but I have never waited more than 30 minutes to be seen. I was reluctant to even write this review as Im thinking that more people may try Dr. P and then I wont be able to get an appointment.

Very disappointed with customer support my mother asked for a Spanish rep and they denied that . I spoke with someone who never gave her name who was setting up a appointment for my mother, she was nasty. Very rude I would never recommend no one here at all. Was told appointment was set when I asked to talk to a supervisor was also not helpful at all said there is a lot of people working so she could not know who was the rep that helped me . All I was told by supervisor Julia no last name was that manager Donna will call me waited 20 min for this answer and no appointment was done so I gave all my mothers information for nothing personally if you cant be responsible in a simple appointment how can you trust this facility. Nasty nasty people would never come here or recommend. I will be reporting this place.

(PLEASE READ) I previously read the reviews about this place before making an appointment. The only reason why I gave this place a chance was because they approved my insurance. My experience was awful, did not feel welcomed as a new patient. The receptionist was very rude. Waited about 40 minutes to see the doctor. For someone who has struggled with acne for many years I was looking forward to receiving some advice and help for my bad skin. The doctor and assistant seemed clueless and made me feel very uncomfortable. The doctor didnt even care to examine my skin. I walked out feeling very disappointed.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Papantoniou. She is treating an ongoing skin issue for me. To say I am an anxious patient is the understatement of all time. The care she gives me by listening to me and making me feel so at ease cannot be beat. Her knowledge and expertise are obvious and nothing gives me more confidence that she will help me feel better, finally. The office staff is professional and very friendly and accommodates my crazy schedule. I am very happy to recommend Dr. Papantoniou to anyone and am very confident they will be quite satisfied.

I was given a two month supply of medication that was supposed to treat my condition. Then I was told it would take 10 weeks to start working. When I asked for a refill on the prescription, they told me I needed to see the doctor before they gave it to me. The only next appointment they had was 3 weeks away. When I tried to get enough pills to cover the time difference, the doctor wasnt able to talk to me and the medical receptionist never picked up the phone. I left numerous messages and the service was extremely unprofessional.

Went in to check sunspots and was prescribed a medication. Got sick 10 days later and turns out it was because of the medication. I had almost every side effect. When I called to speak with a MA or doctor about the medication nobody answered. I left two messages and never heard back. When I called and spoke the the receptionist to tell her they dont pick up she would just transfer me to them again. Why would it say to call your doctor if you have these side effects if its almost impossible to get in touch with them.

Melissa, the PA, is a wonderful, pleasant, intelligent, caring and devoted health care professional. My daughter and I both go to her and we both have recommended other friends and family to the practice. They are reminded to ask for Melissa when they call to make an appointment. My daughter was diagnosed with Melanoma and Melissa helped her overcome the fear and worry, easing her through the steps to recovery. I cant give enough praise and give Melissa a 5 Star rating.

I waited 40 minutes and only saw the dr for 5 minutes. The dr didnt even touch or look at my skin. I said I was there for acne, he named two medications to put me on and that was it. I felt extremely shut down like he didnt even care about helping me. The worst part, he didnt ask me about medications I take or health concerns. Luckily my pharmacist informed me the drugs he was putting me on would interfere with one of my previous meds. No way would I reccomend dr Romeo

Absolutely terrible was put on hold 4 times in the last 5 minutes of calling to make an appointment. Medical assistant was rude and hung up on me when she over heard my comment about the disorganization. This is a horrible first impression of your office. I am a dental assistant and understand the importance of customer service especially over the phone. This is not a good look at all. Please hire more kind and efficient medical Assistants for your office.

The doctors and staff at Advanced Dermatology are great. They really care about their patients. We love Melissa Sarnoff- Wiener. She takes the time to look at any thing you want her to check out, has an awesome personality and has a great relationship with my family and I highly recommend her and the doctors there. Their hours are great, open Sundays!

Overall a great place. Receptionists are very kind and professional. I never wait more that 5 or 10 minutes to see the dermatologist (I do go in the mornings). Ive been seeing Rebecca since she started here and she has always been professional, efficient, thorough and takes my concerns into consideration. Would definitely recommend!

Awful treatment by the receptionists. I was put on hold for over 10 minutes to schedule an appointment and then was rudely answered and ask why i was waiting for and told there had nothing available and hung up on. Unfortunately the office is losing many patients due to the rudeness and unprofessionalism of the front desk workers.
