I was referred to Dr. Kumar for a lingual frenectomy (a.k.a. tongue tie). I had been tongue-tied my entire life, and for some reason deathly afraid of anyone operating on it. I spoke with Dr. Kumar and his staff, and they relaxed my worries and scheduled a procedure. The ENT office and the surgical center are superb -- clean, relaxing, friendly, etc. Cortland ENT strikes an incredible balance between comforting the patient and maintaining state-of-the-art medical facilities. I cannot express how quick and painless the procedure was.. the amount of worrying I put in was all for nothing! After my procedure, I was called by a couple nurses to check in and see how I was recovering. With Dr. Kumar, my fear of oral surgery is relaxed.. Ive even scheduled a much-needed tonsillectomy with him for later this year. If you are looking for a highly-skilled ENT, thats Cortland ENT. If you are looking for a doctors office who looks after you and cares about you, thats also Cortland ENT.

I really liked Dr. Kumar at first. He was nice and able to get me into surgery quickly. He did, however, perforate my septum during the surgery. He apologized and offered to fix it with a repair surgery. I agreed to it, unfortunately, and woke up with a piece of ear cartilage missing. I did not give consent for this. The surgery didnt even repair the hole in my nose; it seemed to make it worse. I am so disgusted that I have to share my experience with others in hopes that they will find a better surgeon. Its been a little over a year since Kumars original sinus surgery and Ive already needed to have a revision sinus surgery done by a different surgeon.. so thats two additional surgeries.

I first saw Dr. Kumar in 2011. Every time I have been to his office, the entire staff has been nice and very courteous. Dr. Kumar has always been attentive to my needs and extremely thorough. My elderly mother fell and broke a bone just below her right eye. It looked awful and we were worried she may even lose the sight in her eye. Dr. Kumar preformed surgery and explained in detail exactly what to expect during the healing process. She is 93 now, looks great, sees well, and has no scarring at all. Dr. Kumar is very kind and an excellent physician. I highly recommend him.

Did no do a thorough exam. I came in with lingering sinus infection symptoms, ringing in ears, dizziness, was given a hearing test, was told I had tinnitus and literally was told "that is all I can do for you". Do not waste your time nor money with this doctor. Shocked and dissapointed at the less than basic level of care.

Excellent Surgeon! I have seen several ENTs and Dr. Kumar has been the best by far! I have had sinus problems for most of my adult life and a few surgeries to try and fix it. So far since my surgery with Dr. Kumar I have not had ONE!
