I am *extremely picky* when it comes to the finer details of life, and passionate about excellent customer service. When it comes to business, branding, and professionalism, I expect the highest quality, presentation and delivery, so youd better be at the top of your game if you want my good word. Unlike the previous reviewers, I could not have had a more pleasant introduction and overall experience with Gentle Dental so far. After being recommended to them by two separate and highly trustworthy friends, I finally went in for initial exam, x-rays, consultation, and much needed teeth cleaning. Coming from my Seattle Dentist, Dr. Nicole Leiker (a female owned and operated practice with a focus on a relaxing experience - they have massage dental chairs!), my standards for quality dental care were very high. The office staff was super friendly and warmly welcomed me by offering me a cup of tea (in a real porcelain tea cup!), while I filled out my paperwork. The lobby is brightly lit, clean, and modern. The flat screen TVs in the front lobby and in my exam room played Planet Earth in HD - my *very favorite* documentary series from the Discovery Channel! My dental assistant Yolanda has been with the company since the beginning, and was very sweet, kind, and cheerful - we had a lot in common! I loved that she loves her job, which came through in her presence. She made me SO comfortable with pillows behind my back and under my legs, a neck warmer, and few drops of lavender oil for a soothing aromatic effect to calm my nerves (itd been so long since I had a teeth cleaning, I knew my gums were going to be very sensitive, thus I had anxiety about the procedure). The best part were the Bose headphones and iPod ready with Rihanna on shuffle - Im a music head, so a lil of the latest RiRi to forget about the pain was just perfect!! They even shielded my eyes from the overhead glare with sunglasses, and I totally zoned out while they thoroughly cleaned my teeth. Specific my needs, this included a slight numbing for the scraping, scaling, polishing, and a final fluoride treatment. Throughout the entire process, a smooth non-fragrant lip conditioner was applied to my lips, preventing any cracking or discomfort from holding my mouth open. During the waiting periods as the team reviewed the my x-rays and medical history, they played instructional videos that were specific to the results of my exam. I watched relevant clips of about proper methods of brushing, flossing, and periodontal disease (eek!). Yup, the truth can be scary and even embarrassing, but Id much rather acquire the knowledge and tools to prevent gum disease and tooth decay than ignore the repercussions of my inaction. My dental hygienist and specialists were very professional and obviously knowledgeable about my oral health situation and treatment options. After my appointment, I was in a big hurry to get back to Brooklyn on time, and Jean at the front desk ordered the most awesome (female!) car driver, who got me to my next appointment right on time. Ill definitely go back for my fillings and any other general or cosmetic dental needs very soon. It is well worth the travel from Brooklyn to Queens. Highly recommended!

After days of constant throbbing pain and sleepless nights, I went to my old dentist for an appointment. He took one look at the x-ray of my molar and declared I was going to have the tooth extracted since it had split. I was supposed to come back the following day for the procedure but my dentist left on vacation leaving me in a very bad position. I asked my friends if they knew any good dentist. I was recommended that I go to the Gentle Dental to have the work done. I remembered from my previous appointment how difficult my last extraction was and that this one was probably going to be as difficult if not more. I called the dental office and they told me to come right in for an emergency consult. I was getting nervous walking in for my appointment since i was in pain for more than four days. The people at the reception desks were professional and helpful in directing me where I needed to go and helping me sign in. Dr. Ilyabayev was assigned to my case and he put me at ease almost immediately. It mightve been his friendly attitude or the fact that he covered the steps of the procedure and made sure that I understood what he was telling me. He asked me if i had any questions or concerns. The extraction went according to plan without any complications. I was finally pain free and able to eat and drink without any pain. I highly recommend Gentle Dental to anyone. The professionalism, competence and care given is superb and the cost is reasonable. Thank you again for everything

There are many dentists in the area - after a lot research, I decided to give them a try. I had dental problems which no other doctor could solve for me. I went to a few doctors and after a few consultation payments and many x-rays later, I still had the same problem. Dr. Marianna Knop was simply great. She listened to my dental problem and asked a lot of questions before starting x-rays and was able to diagnose what the problem was. I had already done a lot of research on local dentists in the area - they arent easy to find. Once I found them, I will never go back. Dr. Marianna Knop is very gentle, caring, and down to earth. My children preferred Dr. Andrey Ilyabayev who listens to all their concerns and explains things in details, and motivated my children to clean, and floss, and eat healthy every day. There is no waiting time (they put educational DVD to learn new), and the staff is nice, friendly and the doctors are professional, not to mention atmosphere is great, the work is always top, and they have state of the art equipment. Right now many people from our company switch their dentists and go here. I highly, highly recommend this dental practice! If you are looking for a dentist that is up on the latest methods and technology, but still has a personal feel to the dentists, office and staff...then Gental Dental office is the right choice.

This place will use up all your insurance in one visit. I had a molar tooth crack and went here, They informed me that I needed a root canal. My insurance gives me $900 to spend on dental work. This place used it all in one visit. Plus I had to give them a 200 deductible. After they started the root canal they only did half of it. When i was done they take you in a room with the billing lady and she informed me that I will needed to come back for a molding and some more work on the tooth same tooth. This is when she said told me they billed my insurance and used all the funds on this one visit (Removed nerve from gums) and to do other half of the root canal they would another $900 and that it would have to be paid out of pocket. If they had informed me in the begin i would have told them to remove the tooth. ($250 which I had another dentist do.) Also they will call you everyday and send you emails to make a appointment. Once i decided i didnt like the male dentist they had there they called and emailed me for almost 6 weeks to make a appointment.
