Ended up taking my dog elsewhere after a month of her not getting better with meds we were prescribed as they wanted to wait and see how she did. X-Rays were going to be $400 after I had already spent over $270 on blood work just so our dog could have the X-Ray done. We decided to take her to another vets in Binghamton where we were able to get X-Rays for less than half of costs in Greene just to find out that our dog had heart cancer. We had to put her to sleep finding out the true cause of cancer being in her heart. I highly recommend SPEAK in Binghamton. They showed true compassion and care for our dog upon meeting her only once compared to our usual vets in town where we live where our dog was a regular patient when needed and they looked at her and said they didnt know whats wrong with her. THEY THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE A PINCHED NERVE, TURNED OUT TO BE CANCER WHICH SPREAD THROUGH HER BODY. There was no way for our vets in Greene to know our dog had heart cancer with out an internal view, but at those prices who can truly afford all of that just for your dog to be checked up on? Not to mention... The cremation office visit, xrays, and shots for pain and putting her to sleep only costed $410 Dollars total. In Greene: $270 on blood work, office visit and meds. X-rays would have been $400, and the cremation would have been $255 Totaling up to a whoping $926 Excluding sales taxes and service fees. So give or take closer to $1,000. Seems like the staff in Greene are out to make a big buck off their clients. All my animals will now go to SPEAK in Binghamton from now on since I am extremely displeased with Greenes Staff, Outrageous prices, and poor animal compassion.

They are great as far as annual check ups and VERY minor issues. The staff are friendly, but we had a very sick puppy. We took her in and NO testing was done on her, no blood work, or chest xrays (she was coughing). We were proscribed a antibiotic, but she just got worse. We took her back and again, no testing was done yet again, and we were prescribed another antibiotic (a stronger one). The next day I decided that I needed to take her somewhere else and Im glad I did, or my puppy would have died! Blood work and chest xrays were done at the new vet and we were sent home with giving her injections of antibiotics and pill form! She needed someone to be VERY aggressive and the Doc at Greene Vet just wasnt!! Needless to say, I will not be going back there!

These guys are wonderful! My kitty Earl had his bladder blocked by a urine crystal. I had no idea what was wrong so I brought him in. I didnt realize the severity of it. They saved him! He is now happy and healthy. I am so grateful! The staff was caring, understanding, and kept me informed. A lovely experience during a stressful time. Thanks again guys
