If I could give her and her office less than than 1 star, I would. She is extremely unprofessional and incompetent. Seems that her practice mainly revolved around money and nothing else. My wife went into labor and the hospital (LIJ) admitted her on a Friday. We informed them about Dr. Martins and that she was our OB. They tried to reach out to her but either could not get in touch with her or she kept telling them that she will be there in time for the delivery. My wife did not go into labor until Monday and still no show of Dr Martins. The hospital sent out other doctors on the floor because we asked for Dr Martins and she was no where to be found. The chief resident at the hospital was incredible and did the delivery, with the help of the nurses and other doctors on the floor (Not associated with Dr Martins). Then we ask the staff for circumcision and they told us that Dr Martin has to be the one to do it. So they tried to reach out to her again. It wasnt until the day of discharge, 2 days after the delivery. She finally shows up late in the afternoon (after 5 days of contacting her and asking her to come in and check us and the baby). She does the circumcision. Her excuse for being late, she had to do payroll - apparently thats more important than a woman giving birth and the newborn (aka her patients). Then to sweeten the deal. She calls us a few hours later. How blessed we were to receive a rare phone call from Dr Martins! I mean 5 days, she was no where to be found but now shes calling us! On her own. Lets see, maybe its to check up on the baby or the mother. NOPE! She says we owe her money. Due to a change in our healthcare coverage, she did not have our new information. So she called us, literally saying "You owe me money". Not making this up - this is word for word. How is that a professional way to speak to your clients? Send us the bill if anything. Ask us about the new healthcare insurance. What ever it is. You dont say "You owe me money" as if this is some sort of an illegal drug transaction. Then her office calls the next morning to tell us that the delivery may not be covered because our insurance wasnt active. My wife went on Medicare after our last insurance expired. They did not have the Medicare information. But regardless, why is Dr Martins office asking us for this? She lady on the phone literally said, I will add the Medicare information in and hopefully the bill is paid (for labor and delivery). So through this whole thing, they didnt come to visit us at the hospital. They were nowhere to be found. The hospitals chief resident did everything and yet Dr Martins gets to swoop in and still get paid as if she was the one to do it? Unbelievable. This type of practice should be illegal and banned. DO NOT HER GO WITH DR MARTIN if you have any respect for yourself or for your unborn child. She is probably one of the worst doctors I have ever seen. We highly regret even mentioning her as our Doctor. Someone recommended her to us, and we went with it. We extremely regret our decision.

Doctor Martin is very disrespectful and unprofessional. I have never came across a doctor like this before, I dont understand how shes still in business with a attitude like that. The only thing she care about is money. I went to see her because of my borderline short cervix. The night before my appointment i had went to katz womans hospital, because i wasnt feeling well. My cervix was measured at the hospital and i was told that my cervix was the shape of a U and not the typical cervix straight across. And everything was good measuring 3.97. The nurse i saw reached out to doctor martin giving the fact that i was now assigned to her, to let her know everything was normal. I went to my appointment the following day to see the doctor with a copy of my cervix report. Upon seeing her i told her who i was and let her know that the hospital called her about my situation the night before. She told me she dont remember what the nurse said because she was tired, I asked her if theres anyway she can get the information from the hospital she said no she doesnt have a computer to pull up that information and said i need to go back to get another ultrasound. I went on to ask her couple questions about the cervix because i was very confused because the hospital told me everything was fine and now shes telling me she need another ultrasound. She got very annoyed and walked out the room to assist 2 other patients i waited a hour when is came back i told her what she did was very unprofessional and she said she dont want me as a patient shes refusing me because i remind her of her ex husband.. she also went on to say from the first time i came in she didnt want to take me because my insurance wasnt all that and she prefer cash. She also went on to say how tired she was and dont have the time to answer all my questions because after she leave work she of to go by the hospital. She carried on the entire time. Until now i still did get my urine result and she didnt check the baby heartbeat i waited 3 hours for no reason because i still didnt get much information about my cervix from her. He plan was to give me progesterone and she refused to give me because she was upset because i was asking too much questions that she wasnt able to answer because she didnt checked my file. Please think twice before going to see her shes disgusting.

Dr. Martins office had very hard chairs, also very narrow. Not a good thing for pregnant women. Also she had movies playing in the waiting area that were very inappropriate and contained a lot of violence & profanity. However if she was a good Doctor I could have dealt with it, but she was very mean and insensitive. My wife called the office with a question, she refused to answer a question stating, " I dont get paid for phone calls." When my wife decided that she no longer wanted to use her as her physician, she wouldnt transfer her file to our new Doctor. We had to go to her office and get it our selves, after Weeks of her saying she was going to send the file. She even tried to tell us it was sent already. Had we not went and retrieved it ourselves, we would still be waiting. Terrible experience, I wouldnt recommend her to my worst enemy.

This is the worst obgyn, she doesnt care about your vagina or your unborn child. Dont believe the reviews and percentage on zoc doc. I wish I wouldve have paid attention to these Google reviews. Then maybe I wouldnt have had to change obgyns so suddenly and get used to a new office all over again. If you care about your health and your unborn childs health, steer clear of this office. The staff is beautiful, but the doctor herself is horrific. All she cares about is money, and shes very argumentative.

Dr. Martin was the on call doctor at North Shore when our regular doc was on vacation. My wife went into labor and Dr. Martin monitored my wife from admission late Friday night and delivered our son early Saturday night. To this day we rave about her calming presence and excellent bedside manner. We feel very lucky that our regular, stiff, no personality doctor was on vacation because if not, our delivery experience would have surely suffered. She made a lasting impression. Thanks Doc!
