I used Family Medicine for about 2 years. In those 2 years, Ive seen and heard the front desk staff not only comments on a patients disease (including the patients name) but actually make fun of patients because of their disease. After my Primary care doctor left, they not only did not inform me but actually got angry at me for not having yet chosen a new primary physician. Now, my latest and last time visit to this facility, the doctor made me wait 2 hours (I actually thought they forgot me in the room) and refused to run any tests on me if it was not related to the Flu because as she puts it: the only thing she was concerned about right now is the flu and if I wanted to discuss anything else I should make another appoint. (and of course pay for it again). Also, be prepared to meet a series of doctors and nurses that are just not that happy to see you. In a way, its like if the most incompetent people on Earth just decided to open a Medical office.

Admin staff are fierce gatekeepers...they wont even talk to you until you show them your insurance and then will blow you off if they arent affiliated with it, even if you tell them you will pay in full and that your insurance will reimburse you directly later. Very formal to the point of being unfriendly and definitely do not seem interested in you as a patient... Apparently just as a source of steady revenue. This after I was referred by a long-time patient of one of the doctors. When I was "disconnected" after having been placed on hold after about my 5th call to the place, I gave up and spoke to another doctors office that had been recommended to me by a different friend, and I was immediately struck by how much nicer they were.

This medical practice is sad. Every time I arrive for an appointment, even for quick simple procedures, I end up waiting at least an hour just to get into a patient room, where I sometimes wait another 30 minutes or more. I had to leave in the middle of an appointment because I had waiting 1.5 hours and never even got to see a doctor. On top of that, theyve disabled their answering service, and my doctor has failed to refill my prescription twice now creating serious inconvenience for me. Im pretty much ready to switch to a completely different office. I do not recommend becoming a new patient here!

Unbelievable. I paid out of pocket to see a Doctor about a rash which turned out to be Lyme disease. However, I didnt even get to see a Dr. Instead, I was misdiagnosed by a Nurse Practitioner who took a quick look and said that it wasnt Lyme. Meanwhile, weeks go by and I develop an acute case of Lyme Disease which was completely debilitating. I was in the worst pain imaginable thanks to these incompetent fools who were ever so quick to hand me a bill. I have never heard of a 10 minute $230+ office visit with a nurse practitioner. AVOID THIS PLACE!

Doctors are friendly and professional. Majority of staff is courteous. I have always had a very skeptical opinion of doctor offices but they have been more than willing to listen and answer all of my questions. Thank you for the great experiences and you will continue to have me as a patient. Dr, Choi is my primary and I cant speak highly enough of the man. If you can get in with him you wont be disappointed with his knowledge. So far he as accurately diagnosed me every time.

I had my first appointment at the downtown location, where I waited 45 minutes to have some bloodwork because I was experiencing extreme bloating and pain in my stomach. I had my follow appointment in the other location, where I waited over an hour before I saw a doctor. That was just for the follow up to the bloodwork. This is an absurd amount of time to wait for a simple appointment that I scheduled weeks ago.

I have used FMA since moving to the Ithaca area and I am very satisfied with their professionalism and courtesy, especially Christina in the front office. She always has a smile on her face and goes the extra mile for the clients. The nurses and aids are all professional. My Dr. is Midura and he has basically saved both my life and my wifes thru his care.

Kind, knowledgeable, professional medical care. I have worked as an RN in various settings and have been a patient in various settings and find Family Medicine Associates to be top notch. I have been a patient with Dr. Choi for six months so far and have had only good, appropriate care with him and the rest of the staff.

Brentwood Location- The front staff are incredibly unprofessional, yelling at one another in front of patients. They lack in customer service, which creates a very unpleasant experience. Additionally, the nurse practitioners do not seem incredibly knowledgeable and it is almost impossible to see a doctor.

I love this place! The staff is so down to earth and sweet! I hate the Dr office but they made me feel comfortable! Dr Berlin is also super down to earth, caring, and thorough! She knows her stuff & is the best doc Ive ever seen, even though that doesnt mean much :)

I completely agree with C Walker. Brentwood location staff are not friendly or accommodating at all. They seem irritated every time Im there, and often plain ignore patients. A simple smile would go a long way. It is also difficult to get in to see a Dr.

Its a big practice so it is easy to get an appointment. They draw their own blood etc. Hard to get in to see an actual doctor though, and the nurse practitioners are sometimes not entirely knowledgeable, in my opinion.

Both doctors I have seen on short notice were up front with what was wrong with me. Was none of the,"Lets try this first" routine.
