It doesnt get any better than Mudgil Dermatology. I walk into this beautiful office. The reception was beyond polite, and really because it was so genuine. I hung my coat and the doc was ready to see me. I talked with the assistant about my concerns and doctor Mudgil came right in up to date with my concerns and offered a complete solution. He talked with me, not at me. Asked my concerns, LISTENED!, and THEN...offered a complete solution or plan of action. AMAZING! Had to add that this is not a bogus review. I am a real patient! He talked about everything that was contributing to my skin issues and talked about my options to treat. When I left not only did I have a complete plan of action but I saved money. I went in with an idea of my problem and exactly how it should be treated. Well the expensive plan I chose turned out to not be the real solution but a bandage for a deeper problem that he diagnosed and is now treating. Also if you are a person of color, I do not need to tell you the problems with dermatologist, make-up, skincare, etc... It can be a nightmare. This practice is PERFECT! He is well versed on all TYPES/COLORS of skin; Which, lets face it, is very different for each racial background. Love, Love, Love the practice! GO NOW!

Add me to the list of happy Mudgil Dermatology patients! Office was super clean, sleek and state-of-the-art. Everyone I encountered was pleasant, conversational and friendly. Doctor Mudgil himself was AWESOME. I was actually caught off-guard by his friendliness. Even though what I was having done was so minor (and he said it was his easiest appointment all day), he didnt treat it as though it were trivial. He took his time to explain his plan of action and let me ask questions - no matter how juvenile they might have been. I think he truly understood that despite the fact this might have been his millionth time doing this procedure, it was still my first experience with it. But the KICKER (and what made me come here to write a review), was that the following MONDAY (exactly one week later), he, HIMSELF called me to let me know that the tests on my removal came back fine. I mean, really?! I cant remember the last time a doctor, himself, called me to tell me GOOD news (or bad, for that matter). I am THOROUGHLY impressed and WILL be back. Hopefully, I dont have a reason to go back, but if I do, I will for sure go back to Dr. Mudgil!

Incompetent staff. Gave them insurance information upon seeing them. They claim they do not have it. Saw them over a year ago and received a letter today from debt collectors about a $250 fee. Update: I contacted his office to just pay the debt because I just want this year-plus ordeal to end. His office agreed to a lower fee of $140. I accepted, but then their office said that they would only agree to this lower amount if I agreed to remove this negative review. Thus, they effectively rescinded their initial lower fee after seeing this review. This should be a telling indicator as to the positive reviews you see about this office, as the negative ones are brushed under the rug.

Mudgil and its billing service All Island Medical Billing engage in fraudulent billing practices. They made a mistake in entering insurance identification information on claim form and waited too long to appeal with insurer. They billed me for $500 even though allowable amount is less and insurer says I have no liability for debt. They turned over account to collections without informing me. They refuse to take responsibility for their incompetence and continue to illegally bill me for amount. UPDATE: Charge was removed from collection. Insurer contacted me and confirmed that I was not responsible for paying the amount and Mudgil was over charging.

All I can say is I second everyone elses opinion: Dr Mudgil is one of the best doctors Ive ever experienced and so is his office. The care of his entire team was compassionate, comprehensive and efficient - just like his website says! The appointment was on time. He listened. He asked me questions. He actually examined me. He then took the time to explain to me what was going on. My appointment was on a Friday, and he PERSONALLY called me back the FOLLOWING MONDAY to check in and give me my test results. It was one of the best service experiences Ive had in any industry. I felt acknowledged, I felt like a human being. Thank you Dr. Mudgil!

I had a great experience with Dr. Mudgil & his staff. When I went in for my appointment the front desk checked me in as soon as I entered the office. Once I checked in I provided my insurance and a credit card for them to keep on file for any responsibility after insurance processed my claims. I think it was a great idea (so I wouldnt have to deal with any bills). I would highly recommend his city and Long Island offices, not only was I given his undivided attention he was very tentative and took his time answering any questions I had.

Hands down the best. Not only is the office absolutely pristine, but its well run and super efficient. The front staff is friendly and I love the modern aesthetic. Now, on to Dr. Mudgil... hes extremely knowledgeable and professional - but most of all, hes kind. Ive been to several other dermatologists and let me say, the search ends here! No one has taken the time to address my concerns the way Dr. Mudgil has. I would highly recommend him to anyone. Theres good reason why he keeps coming up on Castle Connollys Top Docs list!

Absolutely great treatment of all office stuff and NEVER have to wait more than very few minutes to be called in for the aptmt. Dr. Mudgil is an absolutely wonderful human being who cares, AND a perfect doctor, who is knowledgeable, thorough and very detailed; always answering any question always giving appropriate samples -never rushing! Dr. Mudgil and his staff are the best in NYC. Everyone there is friendly, courteous and helpful. I have been going there for over 5 years. Further to that Dr. Mudgil is the smartest dermatologist in the business. I saw countless doctors before him and they did nothing for my eczema. He was the only one who did blood work. Great practice!

Dr. Mudgil is knowledgeable with a terrific, disposition. He is accommodating and never pejorative. He is very good with kids and parents. He has had to refer us in the past and that doctor likewise stellar. His staff is always cheerful and service oriented, attentive and respectful. The offices are state of the art and tech enabled.
