I went to see Dr Evangeline Perez because I really needed help with some skin rashes that I had after sun exposure and I requested a cancer screening. I was in a lot of pain. The staff was very unprofessional. I got a cancer screening and it was the most uncomfortable situation ever. They had an intern looking at the whole process without my authorization. I really needed help and to be honest, she didnt even know what she was doing. She made me go back at least 4 times "because she didnt have enough time to do the screening on that day" (it only took 5 mins when she finally did it!) I went back and forth 4 times (paying for every visit!) she didnt even treat the rashes at the end. Dr Perez doesnt care about her patients. She literally told me that she could only treat one thing at a time and every visit was at least $30 (with insurance) and I ended up paying at least $500 out my pocket without even solving my rashes issues. Not only that, but I always collect all of my receipts to keep it for my records (Thank God!) and they were charging me the same visit over and over again, until I realized and went back to complaint. It was a total rip off. She definitively only cared for the money. I would never go back there and would not recommend this dermatologist to nobody. I would give her a 0 star if I could.

I moved to NYC from Wisconsin, and first she dramatically reduced my medication, because what was working for me, was outside her comfort zone. I was on too much antibiotics. WELL.. Let me tell you, like I told her, it works for me! THEN I, and my pharmacy, have had to, figuratively, bang on her door EVERY time I need a new prescription (ie MONTHLY). After the last time, I asked - "Do I need an appointment?" It had been about 6 months. I was told that wasnt necessary. Today, I called again, although I know she received a request, from the pharmacy last Friday (one week ago), I was told they wouldnt renew the prescription without my seeing Dr. Perez. UM.. ok, I was out A WEEK ago, I asked LAST month.. and you dont think you could have scheduled me earlier?! Im going to be getting a new referral after I see her this time.
