My Casper was recovering at home after his release from the hospital when suddenly he relapsed and began to vomit and looked as if he was going to die in my arms. I called Animal Health Veterinary Group WHICH I HAVE BEEN USING FOR TEN YEARS and told them the seriousness of the situation. The response ? I was placed on hold for 5 minutes. By that time I was packing up his meds and about to take him there because it was closer than the hospital and I did not believe he was going to make it. When the receptionist finally got back on she was like "yeah well squeeze you in at 5:45." My dog was greatly ill. What do you mean squeeze me in? I told them I was on my way and hung up. I finally got there with my vomiting dog 10 minutes later and I waited in the waiting room no sense of urgency from Dr. Sether. When Dr. Sether finally made an appearance she briefly examined him. She tested his blood sugar and the meter couldnt even read it. She told me there was nothing she could do and to rush him to the hospital. Maybe if she would have got on the phone with me instead of putting me on hold for 5 minutes and told me to go there in the first place I would have. I grabbed my dog (who btw didnt look like he could make 10 more minutes) and I jetted to the hospital. I got into my car and was about to pull out and Dr. Sether sent the receptionist outside to my car and she began to tap on my window. She wanted my credit card to charge me $60 for the visit. Thats right everyone $60 for telling me theres nothing she can do. While my dog was dying in the car seat next to me. Dr. Sether you could have sent me the bill in the mail. You could have taken payment another time on the phone. Youve been to my house for my dog many times. I paid you $150 many times to be there. I have never not paid and owed you money. Was $60 so important it was worth making my dog suffer an extra 5 minutes while you processed my credit card? You make me sick. I really hope you needed that $60. You obviously dont care about the animals. Youre a monster after money. I will never take another one of my animals there and no one else should either. For $60 you lost my business forever after 10 years. Was it worth it

Words cannot describe what Boulevard Veterinary Group has done for me and my family. I recently was forced to put down my 16 year old Schnauzer, Bernie. Going through something like this can be heart wrenching enough, but the history of my dog made it that much more difficult. Bernie was my mothers 3rd son, but sometimes me and my brother felt he was the number one son. My mother passed away 4 years ago and I was left to take care of Bernie. 4 years had passed and Bernie had come into spinal trouble. His life was no longer enjoyable and was filled with cries and whimpers, we had to let him go. This is where this group of Vets and workers, no, this group of caring people helped comfort me in one of the toughest times of my life. The doctors to the receptionist each became a shoulder to cry on an ear to listen. I was no longer engulfed in a decision being made between me and a Veterinarian. I was surrounded by people who cared for what I was feeling, who cared for my dogs last minutes of life, I was surrounded by people who legitimately cared. Although I have sat the past few days occasionally choked up with tears, the follow-up Sympathy Card from this group of people let tears of comfort run down my cheeks, and makes the grieving process as bearable as it can be. I say with all of my heart, this is an office that cares. This is a place that makes you feel comfortable. A place where emotional attachment and the connection between pet and person is understood and not overlooked. Thank you for being in my corner at a time I needed it the most!!!!

I have to say that Dr.Arpino is an angel sent from above. I have been back and forth with 3 different vets and neither have found a cure for my dog. I have spent so much money on medicines and different remedies, i was at the point where i thought i was going to have to put him to sleep . I called animal rescue groups for advice and was told to euthanize my 2 year old pit bull. That same day i received a postcard for a free visit to Boulevard Vet Group. I was told to come in right away. The staff was awesome. I have to say i felt like Ive been going there for years. After a thorough check up with my extremely out of control 75lb dog Dr.Arpino sent me home with a few different medications. In just 10 days , my dog looked 90% better. its been about 1 month and now hes eating and acting like a normal dog again. I cant thank him enough for what he has done for my pup. I highly recommend going here :)

Checked out via email many vets on Staten Island when my aging female Maltese developed an eye tumor. Dr. Mike Arpino personally responded to me within a few hours. I set up a Saturday appointment and had the opportunity to meet an extremely compassionate veterinarian who examined my precious pet, set up an appointment with a local first class ophthalmology specialist, offered to perform necessary preliminary testing (bloodwork, etc.) at a very reasonable cost and spent a considerable amount of time explaining to me his diagnosis, the results of his testing and the answers to my questions and concerns. Thank you, Dr. Mike (and your caring staff), for being everything I was looking for in a veterinarian. And thanks for the "new patients free initial exam". Youre the best!

I have been going to this vet practice for many years with several of my dogs & cats. My current dog Sugar is a frequent visitor there and all of the staff are great with her and take very good care of her. She is always happy to see them and she loves all of the staff & Dr.s. All of the Vets are very responsive, helpful, caring & have treated all of my dogs many health issues. The staff at animal health group are truly great and really love what they do. I couldnt ask for a better group of people to take care of my dog.

This is the best group of doctors I have ever experienced!!! They truly care about your special member of the family. All of the doctors are wonderful but i love Dr Sether!!! From the receptionist to the techs to the doctors, everyone is caring and kind and you are never rushed. They always call to see how your special family member is doing! They truly love animals and are highly qualified professionals! My Chloe and Zoey love them!

I have had several cats with serious health issues and they have been given the best informed care by the veterinarians and concerned staff. I would recommend the doctors for initial visits for kittens/puppies and well care for adult/senior pets. Owing a pet is a responsibility and good health care is part of insuring your pet a long and happy life. My cats stay in good health with yearly vet visits.
