Ive never encountered such rude staff in my life. Their cold demeanor was evident from the moment I walked into the office. After handing them a paper with the tracking number to my referral (which I was told by my insurance would suffice), one of the nastier staff members rudely handed me back the paper and said with unecessary attitude that the paper I gave was not an actual referral. I then asked a few questions as to why it was not acceptable after I was told by my insurance that it was. Immediately she got even nastier and proceeded to embarass me in front of the entire waiting room by saying (and I quote), "This insurance sucks, goodluck getting through to them." The staff offered no helpful tips about how to go about getting the actual referral and made it more than obvious that they did not care. Considering I was there for a very alarming mole on my face, I was extremely dissapointed that I could not see the doctor and their attitudes only made it worse. This office is in desperate need of a new staff that knows how to be professional, compassionate, and leave their trashy attitudes at home. Please save yourself the aggravation and do not go here.

Dr. McCormack is a doll. She is brilliant, kind, caring and very compassionate. I have been going to her for almost 5 years now on a regular basis. The staff couldnt be nicer. I am always greeted warmly and with a smile. The P.A.s all know their stuff and are also warm and compassionate. I feel Dr. McCormack chose her staff wisely. When I wanted a certain medicine her staff went very, very far on my behalf to get insurance approval. There usually is no wait, sometimes there is a small wait if there are emergencies. There are 2 things I look for in a Doctor; one is knowledge of their specialty (which she has hands down over any dermatologist on Staten Island) and two that the doctor listens to the patient. From my first visit where I objected to a treatment Dr. McCormack asked me why I objected. She heard me and told me we would explore every other avenue of treatment before we revisit biologics. This is exactly what she has done for me. I feel like she is family and always want to give her a hug when I see her. I highly, highly recommend Dr. McCormack as the best dermatologist on Staten Island.

I have had horrible experiences with doctors on Staten Island in particular dermatologist. I decided to see Dr. McCormick after many disappointing experiences with Dr. Lederman. I first saw McCormick when she was located in Bailey Seton Hospital and had a great experience, however, that was many years ago and things have changed drastically. First, I had requested an appointment her and not her P.A, was assured that this would be the case but of course it was not. I spent about five minutes with the P.A and insisted on speaking to Dr. McCormick, finally she comes in, I greet her with a hello and she ignores me because obviously she could not be bothered. When I explained the reason for my visit the first words out her mouth was her pushing a cosmetic procedure. She ignored all my concerns. When I left I was given a paper with names and they were all product for her to sell, nothing was explained to me. I had to go online to find out what they were. Stay away from her she is only interested in money not her patients. I hope this information can help the next person.

Saw a lot of bad reviews about this Doctors office but I gave it a shot anyhow because it is close by. I have to say I saw nothing that was described in any of the bad reviews. I called for an appointment and the reception staff was courteous and professional. They advised me before hand that the copay had to be cash or check that they did not accept debit or credit. No big deal. And, yes there is an atm in the waiting area again no big deal it is a convenience just in case you forgot a check. I was also advised that I could see the doctor on certain days but if I wanted an earlier appointment I would have to see a PA. That was fine with me because I knew what my options were. I got to the office filled out paper work and waited a total of 15 minutes to see the nurse who was very kind and professional. Shortly after that the PA came in to see me who was also very pleasant and more than professional. The procedure was done I was advised what I had to do and that was that. I had a great experience and will return to them if I need any more treatments.

I felt like I was in the twilight zone!! There were rude receptionists from the minute i walked in. Then after waiting for almost 45 minutes i get called into the room and had to wait, yet again! Made an appointment to see the Doctor, but who walks in, an overly tan extremely rude PA that not only insulted me, but misdiagnosed me and never even looked me in the face. Walked out after two minutes of writing or what i assume she was playing tic tac toe on her little note pad. I thought going to a DERMATOLOGISTs OFFICE, the people that work there would have beautiful skin... no not here, they had more makeup than a dragqueen, and looked like theyve been to bermuda for a fourth month vacation. I want my money back this was a terrible visit!!!

Visited 3 times and havent seen a doctor once, and with every visit Ive waited almost an hour to be seen by a PA for less than 10 minutes. Now I understand that theyre busy but I was rushed out to see an empty waiting room. So what was the rush? Also, Im no professional but if Im being prescribed a serious medication with severe side effects Id wanna see an actual doctor. To top it all off I was told I cant even start the medication for 2 months, so Im left with no treatment whatsoever for my skin condition. I leave this dermatologist continuing to suffer and permanently scar. Best dermatologist for sure.

Wish I could give you a more precise review of Dr. McCormack, but in the 3 years that I was her patient I NEVER saw her. Not once. In fact Im not even sure she exists. The PA, although pleasant enough, would spend on average 5 mins with me, sometimes not even looking at my problem and then ask that I return 3 mos. later. Why? So he could not look at my problem again??? Seems this Dr. runs her practice more like a lucrative business than a caring medical practice.

I saw Dr. McCormack back in 2008, and again on June 9, 2017. Two very caring and professional visits. Dr. McCormack listened to my concerns and had her PA take a needed biopsy. The doctors PA was also caring and professional, and eased my concerns about pain from the numbing inject. Saff members, and I dealt with a number during my visit were wonderful. Before leaving, I made an appointment for my husband to see the doctor knowing he would be as pleased as I was.

So disappointed! Walked in the place...the receptionists are rude, they dont even greet you, the first thing they ask for is your insurance card! They made me wait one hour, then i went to another room and waited another 20 minutes for the doctor!. Dr McCormack comes in a rush asks me whats the matter , She never looks at me and just prescribes a cream...i was so disgusted with this doctor cold demeanor. She should not work with patients. Shes heartless!
