I have been loyal to this place for 5 years now. Highly disappointed in recent plan of care for my dental health. Being a former dental student I questioned what I was told. Which was that I had bone loss of the lower jaw and 6 inch depth pockets around my first molars. Why I questioned this was it made no sense at all. Why these certain molars upper left and lower right. I thought due to stress I had these issues and did not need this dental issue to add to my high stress levels. I was scammed 30 with a micriobial irrigation with being told the area needed to be flushed out. Also, I was scared into thinking I needed cleaning every 3 months as opposed to every 6 months like my insurance covered. Finally I was told I needed anti-biotics to heal the pockets which my insurnace did not cover to prevent tooth loss. I was lied to as I went back to a good specialist who I observed when I was a dental student and was told yesterday 3/3/17 that I have nothing wrong with my gums and that I have no infection and do not need any treatment at all. Great Expressions is very unethical business and if I had no knowledge of the dental field I would have never known the truth. Avoid this place you can not trust them. If 0 stars was an option that would be my true rating for this place.

I have been going there for a few years and had a variety of dental care, including extraction and implants. The turnover is high so you never really get to see the same person (dentist or hygienist) again. The dental care is average. The front office staff ranges from being occasionally professional to outright rude. Often they treat the patients as a burden. During my last appointment, which was at 2pm, the waiting room was empty. The staff could be heard laughing and joking in the back, the receptionist was on a private call on her cell phone. I arrived early and waited until 2pm to tell her that I was here for an appointment. I was told to "have a seat", even though there was absolutely nothing going on. When I approached the window again at 2:05pm, the receptionist seemed annoyed and told me, "its only 2:03pm, have a seat". I asked her to let the dental hygienist know that I was here, as clearly they were all just laughing and joking in the back. I was told, "we are still on lunch", have a seat. I left without dental care and dont plan to ever go back there again. I think a corporation bought the practice and as such patients are treated simply as revenue generators and not as people.

Ive never liked the dentist - but the folks at great expressions gave horrible service a new name. After a painful exam that left me bleeding, I was informed that I had at least 11 cavities. Me, never having cavity before in my life, was skeptical. When I pushed for more information, I was told "well, they might be white spots only, but we will fill them all anyway." At checkout, I was told that at my next visit, they would fill three of these so called cavities - which after my insurance would cost me $500. When I gawked at the price, I was handed a pamphlet on a payment plan. They told me that the total of all the work I needed would be a couple thousand dollars. I decided I needed to get a second opinion. I took the exrays that Great Expressions took and visited another dentist. Upon looking at my exrays, the doctor said "if these photos are actually yours, I dont know why you are here today." After an exam he cleared it up - no cavities at all. Not one. Great expressions is a scam - they try to force unnecessary treatment to make a buck.

Ive been to Great Expression Dental Centers, Suffern NY office twice for osseous surgeries. Abundant parking space, scenic view of tall Maple trees from the dental operatory. Got individualized attention and care from various individuals. The office Manager Jozel and Sole Ortiz were constantly checking on me and made me comfortable. At the front desk Fran was very helpful in setting up the appointment, instantly gave the confirmation date without putting me on hold and gave me clear directions when I got lost. The Periodontist Dr. Keila Gutierrez is amazing, little pain, and fast gum surgeries. I would recommend this office to anyone who needs dental care! Also impressed by the follow up call from Sole.

WHAT A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! I have the worst history with dentists and never could find one I like or even feel comfortable with. I LOVE it here. Dr. Kass and her assistant are very professional, so sweet, and will walk you through your procedure the entire time. I usually walk out of the dentist office with mouth/tooth pain after work as been done and I dont even have a sore spot any where in my mouth! Soft touch, quick and easy, with a smile on their face the entire time. I cant believe I havent been going here sooner. Definitely recommend everyone to try them out and experience how wonderful your dentist appointment can actually be!

The staff there is so friendly. I am terrified of all things teeth. They make me feel very at ease and keep me informed on everything I need to know. This was especially helpful when I had surgery on my gums - Dr. Gutierrez is just amazing. I have a difficult work schedule which requires me to travel - they work very hard (to a level I dont even think I deserve) to accommodate an appointment for me. I am grateful to the staff for such great care.

Dr. Julia Kass is the most gentle and amazing dentist I have ever been to!! She completed my veneers a few months ago and I couldnt be happier with the results!!!! She changed my life and I highly recommend her to anyone and everyone from small fillings to cosmetic procedures. I will never use a different dentist!
