I have been bringing my dog there since he was a puppy. He is a toy poodle and lately with his old age hes been getting very bad itchy skin to the point where he will scratch till he bleeds. I have taken every order and recommendations given to me by his vet and nothing seemed to work. I got desperate and tried another vet office for a 2nd opinion. Over 2 years has passed and now my dog is 15 years old. My mother cares for him now. She does not drive. This hospital is the closest walking distance to her home. We called this hospital recently to get him in for a check up. The woman on the evening shift was very nice and she said as long as we can send the paperwork from the other hospital we would be good to go. The next day my mother gets a rude phone call from the office saying they would not be able to take my dog because of "disloyalty to the company". After I had told her how could this be because an employee of theirs said it was ok, she then demanded to know who in her company would say such a thing. I have never had an experience like this before and after explaining to her my situation with my mom she had ZERO sympathy and told me that again because of my disloyalty I would not be able to bring him in ever again. At the end of the day it is the health of my animal I am worried about. The difference between a 5 minute walk to their hospital and a ride in a taxi cab can mean all the difference when an animal is in an emergency situation.

Many years and thousands of dollars with 5 pets- we moved & finally have a new vet. It started in Feb. when my one cat was diagnosed with FelV - they basically gave him a death sentence- their one vet asked me if I would be bringing him to a shelter or putting him down and guaranteed to me that all my other cats have the disease. All my cats have continued to test Neg. and my one with the positive in Feb, is healthy and will be retested this month as our new vet finds it hard to believe with the low positive we received that we were basically told to give up on him. All my cats except him I come to find out had been vaccinated for this but I was told the vet he often saw at the practice "didnt believe that Vaccine so he probably didnt even mention it to me" - Often when I had appointment and every arrived a few minutes early I would wait for 45 minutes to an hour - unacceptable with an anxious animal, especially in a dingy waiting room. Today I bring my dog to our new vet for his annual to find out that he has been given a vaccination yearly that is only supposed to be every three years, that totally floored me, so our new vet choose not to administer the vaccine again. I have two stars because their front desk staff is wonderful and friendly and do their best. But the vets are not, they have no empathy and not every personable at all. I would not recommend.

I have been to many vets dealing with my special needs pup. Counting 4 different in the last 3 years, i must say the Wappanger falls animal hospital was the worst. This office looks and smells like a dungeon. The staff were very unpersonable to say the least. Do not take your animal to these people. This is your warning

Only place we will take our pets. Have been clients for over 32 years. Dr. Crew is the best. I would never trust anyone else to care for our dogs and cats. They always provide accurate and helpful information. Only sell pet care products that they personally research.

This animal hospital is incredible. The patients are always well cared for, the staff is professional and kind, and the doctors practice too notch medicine. AHWF feels more like bringing your pet to your family than to the doctors.

They are friendly and professional staff, and communication is given in a very up-front manner. You can tell that they all love animals.

Expensive and always finding some reason to charge more money. Costed me close to $600 to neuter my 2 year old dog..
