I WAS REFERRED TO DR. BERCK BY MY PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIAN WHO HAD NEITHER NAY OR HAY ABOUT HIM, SO I I TRUSTED IN MY PCP THAT DR. BERCK WAS A GOOD PHYSICIAN AND WHEN I CALLED HIS OFFICE TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT THE GIRL WAS VERY NICE AND WAS ABLE TO SCHEDULE ME FOR A 5:30pm. A FEW DAYS LATER I RECEIVE A CALL CONFIRMING MY APPOINTMENT FOR 2:45pm, I SAID TO THE GIRL "I NEVER SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT FOR THAT HOUR OF THE AFTERNOON BECAUSE I DO NOT LEAVE WORK UNTIL 4PM SO AT THIS POINT THE GIRL BECAME EXTREMELY ARROGANT TELLING ME THAT NO ONE N THE OFFICE WOULD HAVE SCHEDULED A NEW PATIENT FOR THAT HOUR OF THE AFTERNOON THAT THEY ONLY SEE RECURRING PATIENTS LATER IN THE AFTERNOON. I EXPLAINED AGAIN I COULD NEVER MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THAT HOUR AS I WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO ARRIVE ON TIME. AT THIS POINT THE OFFICE MANAGER WAS PUT ON THE PHONE AND I WAS TOLD THAT I MADE THAT TIME UP AS EVERYONE IN THERE OFFICE KNOWS NOT TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINT THAT LATE IN THE EVENING FOR A NEW PATIENT. I WAS SO OUTRAGED AT THE WAY THIS WOMEN SPOKE TO ME THAT I WOULF NEVER EVEN CONSIDER GOING TO SEE DR. BERCK. iF THIS IS HOW HE RUNS HIS OFFICE AND THIS IS HOW PATIENTS ARE TREATED THAN NO THANK YOU. I WILL TAKE MY MEDICAL CARE ELSEWHERE.

Dr. Berck is excellent. The first time I went was in about 2000 with a terrible tinea rash I acquired on the west coast. He cured it quickly. I have been there occasionally since. About three months ago I went to a second opinion on melanoma and a growing mole on my forehead. He removed the mole forhead expeditiously and expertly. Further he told me that nothing was suspicious in terms of melanoma, overruling the other dermatologist who previously had cut all over my body with all negative results (leading me to be cautious this time). Dr. Berck barely changed in 15 years and he is a very solid doctor. I am only writing this review because the first review that came up was so negative. I doubt its veracity.

. DO NOT GO TO DR CLIFFORD BERCKS OFFICE.. HE DOES NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS, HAS NO COMPASSION FOR HIS PATIENTS. IT STARTS WITH THE OFFICE STAFF WHO ARE NASTY,RUDE AND SHORT WITH THE PATIENTS, ESPECIALLY THE OFFICE MANAGER. THIS IS A REFLECTION OF DR CLIFFORD BERCK, UNPROFESSIONAL IN HIS TREATMENT OF HIS PATIENTS. AGAIN I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU SEE ANOTHER DERMATOLOGIST. HIS OFFICE HOURS ARE VERY LIMITED, And its all about generating visits and copays, not the care of the patient. AND IT IS VERY HARD TO GET A APPOINTMENT IF YOU HAVE A EMERGENCY..

This was a terrible experience. the staff was misreable they were unable to give me any kind of estimate on even a basic visit. had to cancel my appointment, was too afraid to walk into a scam and leave with a 1,000$ bill. Do not trust this office!!

Dr. Berck is extremely professional and has always been able to help me effectively and efficiently. I have referred all my friends and everyone agrees he is the best. And he really is. If there ever is a wait, its 100% worth it.

Dr. Burke is efficient and really knows his stuff. Forget the scheduling issues some have reported if you want to see a dermatologist that will do right by you, Burke is your Dr.
