I moved to Birmingham last October, and finally decided to settle on choosing a dentist down here. I made an appointment as a new client and went in at 8am on an August Monday. The wait time wasnt too bad, and overall everyone was very friendly. The gal who took my x-rays was especially sweet and easy to talk to. The big problem I had with this place was the fact that I got tricked into buying a $135 toothbrush. The hygienist mentioned the toothbrush they sell there very briefly during my exam, and said I could consider it. While I was with the office manager going over payment, and she seemed to be in quite a rush. She didnt take any time to go over details with me, or explain any of the things they were charging me for. I definitely expected more as a "new patient". When she gave me my total, I asked what does this all include? And she said the two gum treatments (which I think is another crock and way for them to make more money) and two fillings. Its partly my fault for not asking directly does this include the toothbrush? But she didnt mention it so I didnt think twice. And I dont work in the dental industry, I have no idea how much these treatments/fillings are supposed to cost. Turns out I had paid for the brush! The hygienist later brought out the package and acted like I wouldnt be able to return it. I felt deceived and it left a bad taste in my mouth about this place. I will absolutely be returning the toothbrush (verified with reception that it is indeed an option) as I have not opened it yet. After I get done with this second gum treatment and fillings that Ive already paid for, Im going to have to strongly think about if I will return or not. Normal twice-a-year cleanings are covered by my insurance, and if I could just go in for those like I have been for years back home, I think my experience would be better. And hopefully easier on the wallet.

I hadnt been to the dentist in years and desperately needed a cleaning and check up. I work full time M-F 8-5 and couldnt come any day but Saturday. I saw 5 different people for about 2 minutes each (if that) And then got sent to an office to discuss my billing. Didnt even get a cleaning. They set me up an appointment to come back in 2 days and apparently put it in the schedule wrong. So I showed up when she told me to, and they told me I didnt have an appointment but it was for the following week. So today, I call them to verify that I actually do have an appointment and I wasnt going to waste my time again driving 45 minutes out of my way. The woman answers and says she doesnt see my appointment... She asks if its tomorrow. I tell her no. Then she says "Oh here you are! Your appointment is at 6." I was told 5:45 and even have a reminder card with 5:45 on it. I feel like they just shuffle you around. I have yet to have a conversation with anyone other than the woman who was trying to figure out how I will be paying my bill. I feel like Im not an appreciated patient and with dentists I feel like thats a pretty big deal. Majority of adults have a fear of dentists and to me the impersonal experiences I have had havent been any help at all. That being said, I will go to my appointment today and if I still feel this way I will not be back.

The Aspen Dental office in Trussville, was absolutely fantastic. I have had several bad experiences in the past that kept me away. I visited 2 other Dental practices the same day I visited Aspen Dental. I wanted to make sure I was getting correct information and also wanted to make sure I had the best experience possible, at the best price. Every person at Aspen was polite, professional, and did EVERYTHING possible to make me feel at ease. Dr. Leggitt, Ashley, Kristen and Kala were AMAZING to say the least. They worked with me to set the best treatment plan. They were understanding and broke everything down into a manageable process. Often times a dental practice is so busy they forget the human element, and when you get a person that is afraid, worried, and concerned they dont take that into consideration. I am BEYOND amazed at the experience thus far. They are all HEROS in my book, They have worked HARD to save my teeth and are on my side. Thank you ASPEN DENTAL.

The staff here has always been kind and helpful from the time I scheduled my first appointment. Everyone who has seen me for cleaning, X-ray and the first steps of my root canal have made a great impression on me. All my questions have been answered and explained thoroughly. My last visit was much better than I expected, pretty much painless and any anxiety I had about the procedure was alleviated. I have another appointment in two weeks and I can honestly say Im not nervous and I feel like I am in capable hands. Overall the worst part is the cost (I dont have dental insurance) but they offer a finance plan that made my treatment a viable option. It may have been cheaper to have just had the tooth pulled, but it is always better to keep what you have if you can. Im so thankful for this place and the awesome people who work there.

Outstanding! I was searching for a new provider recently and came across Aspen Dental. I went in for a tooth ache and they found the cause was an impacted wisdom tooth which they removed that day. What a relief! Furthermore, the staff at this location are all so nice. They made me feel like it was all about me. From price to scheduling to level of comfort, Id say they nailed it! Ha, I even went back to get the other side done. Special thanks to Dr. Prattipati whose bedside manner is the best Ive ever seen! Thank you all for providing such a fantastic experience! Ill be back for more.

Immediately upon entering the office, I was greeted with a very friendly staff. I waited maybe 7 mins before I was called back to see Dr. Firth...no long waiting!! Dr. Firth is a wonderful dentist and an all around fantastic person. He is truly a man of God and he will gladly help anyone and the staff will work with the patient on a payment schedule for higher priced dental work!! I will definitely be going back to him and I would recommend him to anyone and everyone without hesitation! ! Thank you Dr. Firth and all of the staff of Aspen Dental for your compassionate care!!

Maybe I was just there on a fluke day because everyone else seems to love this place but my experience was not good. I waited over an hour in the waiting room. Then once I was back there it was another hour and a half before someone finally cleaned my teeth. I was shuffled around to 4 different rooms and there wa someone new in each room. All I wanted was a cleaning - not a million X-rays, not a cancer screening, not to buy their $100+ electric toothbrush, not their insurance...just a cleaning. 3.5 hours later I made it out and I wont be back.

I was very pleased with how I was treated at this office. However, the only thing I didnt like was the waiting. Granted I was a new patient without insurance, I arrived at 2:45 and didnt leave until a little after 5. Dont get me wrong everyone was pleasant and very helpful but I waited an hour and a half just to literally see the actual dentist for three mins then another 45 mins to get the pricing done. All in all I would recommend that someone go here if in need of dental care because it was worth the wait.
