Kids work at legacy Community Health. They do not know what they are doing. I had an appointment yesterday and was told the doctor would not see me because I was 2 minutes late. Then he told me there was an alert on my insurance, that I was not covered. I called Molina Insurance when I got home. They said I AM covered and that the alert was to me that women in my age group need to go have a pap smear. I was there for orthopedic problems in a lot of pain, rushed from work to get to Legacy Clinic to make the 4pm. Got there and registered on the wrong floor , was told I arrived within the grace period of 4pm, which was within a 15 minute radius and sent me to the 3rd floor. I waited in a line and when they got to me, a boy told me I was too late, sorry, he had to schedule another appointment. I told him what downstairs said. He then stated that there was an alert on my insurance and the doctor would not see me. Call Molina! I think he just wanted to go home and did not want me there. Very disenchanted by this very humiliating experience. If you have insurance, you can find other doctors that are not at this place that treat patients like cattle... wait in line like school children and reprimanded for being 5 minutes late!!!! There are doctors who take affordable insurance and you are not stuck with Legacy, a pitiful place!

If you want to see what Rick Perry and his cronies have done to heath care for the under insured, and/ or unemployed, look no further than Legacy Clinic. It takes three months or more to get in for an appointment and when you finally do, you are greeted by a waiting room full of people who have to wait hours for their appointment. Absolutely horrible. I dont begrudge the clinic for their attempts to service the citizens of the community, but this is the result of playing politics with peoples lives. This is the ONLY place I could find who would take the my insurance. I have been looking for work for awhile, let alone work with health insurance (with no luck), so I had no other options. Get the Texas Taliban out of office. Also, if you live in the area, walk or take public transportation. Due to so many people filling up the waiting room, you will find no parking when you arrive and if you do think you found a spot on the side of the street, think again. You will get a parking ticket for about $40.00. The City of Houston has found a brand new cash cow, the patrons of this clinic who are already financially strapped. Just lovely, eh?

This organization has saved my life. Literally. For those that have posted "it takes too long to get in" there are daily early am walk in openings for nearly everything. If you need to be seen ASAP you show up first thing in the morning. They always do their best as need for a facility of this nature is in high demand. If you cant be bothered with waking early...oh well. And no this is not an emergency room. This organization allowed me to stay on my necessary medications even when between jobs. They provide medical and behavioral healthcare and for those who are on daily necessary medications this is life-saving. I was also able to get my well women exam and birth control, be seen for allergies, thyroid conditions, etc. THIS PLACE IS A GODSEND. One day I had a fairly long wait to see the gyno. I realized while in the appointment it was because she was, hands down, the most thorough Dr. Id ever seen. She was worth the wait. Im sure this place is not perfect but it damn well beats not having help when you need it. I love legacy for all theyve done for me.

I gave two stars only because of how friendly they are here. Other than that its a circus act. I have to reapply for adap every other time I go in, same with Ryan White foundation. So I often have to go without meds. Disorganized doesnt cover it. The waiting time varies as expected. Parking is absolutely impossible. They offer less than half of the services my last clinic offered. No dental. No mental health. No counselor. I have gone to this clinic two separate periods of time and improvement seems to have backed right out of the building. Baring witness to all of the friendly smiles as I constantly struggle to keep up with all of the paperwork only to find that it has been lost each month (sometimes bi-monthly) leaves me with this odd feeling that I am part of a population control experiment. Sucks, because I do actually like the people there. They are giving me a treatment that no one else would, which is pretty great. Just kinda wish they would get it together so I could entirely trust them. Cant lie, Thomas Street is probably in my future.

Legacy saved My life back when it was Montrose Clinic. They discovered My stage 3 Cancer and wouldnt let me leave the facility till i had all pertinent information on how to proceed and till someone could pick me up as i was in shock from the news. I chose after care with them because of their kindness and dignified care. To all these negative reviews i say Malarkey...if you have a bad attitude you still get seen. Ive witnessed this scenario Dozens of times...they have too much patience in my opinion and endure much abuse from petulant ungrateful people. ITS A FREE CLINIC that provides Top care, seldom have they given Me issue, then again Im respectful and polite so again; YOUR ATTITUDE MATTERS. Mary Shepherd is THE BEST NURSE PRACTITIONER IN THE GULF COAST with an excellent bedside manner, she listens and there isnt any topic she wont address. I hope with all My cells that they never close their doors, East Texas would be in serious peril if they did. THANK YOU FOR MY LIFE LEGACY COMMUNITY HEALTHCARE.

This is the most disorganized, Clinic Ive ever been too, some of the staff are truly friendly and genuinely care. This clinic has mixed my medical information 4 times with those of other patients and thats including lab results. The Dr I had gave me medicine and informed me if I was allergic to it to contact her. I had a horrible allergic reaction and I called the clinic left over 5 messages and no returned call. I was finally able to get an appointment and when I arrived the appointment was cancelled without any notification whatsoever. This has happened several times and even though I call and confirm they still do whatever it pleases them. I am glad to never have to come here again at least to see the Drs. Many Blessings to whoever steps foot into Legacy you will need it.

Great facility that offers more services than a Vietnamese call girl. Very nice building (although the parking has proven to be a bit of a chore, given the limited number of spaces in the front lot). Very friendly staff and comfortable waiting areas (as far as medical waiting rooms are concerned) that include cushioned seats and multiple large flat screen HDTVs that are definitely more entertaining than the disheveled stacks of crinkled months old magazines that most doctors offices seem to pride themselves on. The on-site Walgreens pharmacy attached to the building really makes this place a one-stop medical mecca.
