I am visiting from out of state and called the day before I went in and tried to make an appt for my dog to have her eye looked at. The girl told me to just come in first thing at 8am and theyd see her. I got there in the morning and waited for 2 hrs. When I finally got her attention and asked when I would be seen, she said "Well you didnt make an appt." I told her what was said to me the day before and that I had tried to make an appt and she just stared at her screen and finally said, "Well what did you need them to do, anyway?" I explained for a second time what I had told her when I first came in and she said there were still appts booked that day and I would be seen when they were done. I walked out and was able to get in with Banfield right away. I have been to other vets who take people back as they sign in, not just based on appts. I could not believe how unapologetic and dismissive they were!

I couldnt be more happier with a vet than I am with this one. They treat my pets well. Very polite. My 14 year old Golden Retriever was having all kinds of issues. I took her there and the problem was resolved almost immediately. Within 2 weeks she was back to her old self. They were awesome a year or so later when I had to put her to sleep. They treated me like family. They explained everything to me. Of course I stayed with her until her last breath. They helped with getting her cremated, the urn and everything. I would highly recommend this vet to anyone that loves their pets. They love them back. You cant ask for much more than that. My other pets like them too. Will continue seeing this vet.

This is absolutely the best place you could take your pet. When our dog ate a bag of ant poison and there was a possibility of him dying, the staff and Dr. Ben Garrett were so compassionate and caring for the wellbeing of our pup. They werent just nice in the office but made a point to call us for the next weeks following that incident and check on him. They really cared! Our most recent accident, when Bear got hit by a car this weekend, reconfirmed their love for animals! Extremely professional and they treat you and your babies like family. we rescued a small dog running across Ross Clark Circle end of June. We took the dog (George) (I named him) to DAH to check for an implant to find owner. They took the dog in right away, check him, and no implant. no records on him, so i had them give George his shots (all) and they checked him out. all of the ladies we met were very professional, thorough, and took an interest in the dog. even helped us try to find the owner, as George was very well behaved house broken. I would recommend Dothan Animal Hosp. to everyone. Many Many thanks to this group. oh and they were very reasonable as well.

I had been taking my babies there for years since I moved to the area! "Warm and caring" staff. Reasonable prices and "nice" atmosphere... The reason I am giving ONE star is because, there is NO option for NO stars.... In the past, I have always taken my babies to the spay and neuter clinics. However, before I moved away, I took one of my new babies to be neutered.... He became incontinent of urine and died about a week later! How can such a simple procedure turn out so badly!? I am ANGRY and HEART BROKEN and I will NEVER get over it, nor will I EVER understand why it happened...!

Maybe its because I AM an "OLD " employee, that I feel the way I do about these folks.( worked with Dr Garretts dad) They are attentive,caring,compassionate people. They treat my dogs like family. I never feel rushed or uninformed. The "OLD" group is no longer there, but I know the standard of care they are held to & am sure I am getting it. I understand "animal people" because I AM one. Started there as a MUCH younger woman & am now a nurse for humans. My time is prescious & my animals more so....I will continue to recommend Dothan Animal Hospital !

I have a 8 y/o yorkie that just so happened to have worms. Missy was using the bathroom all over the place :( I knew something was wrong. The nurses and the vet was AWESOME...they took extra care of her and made sure she got exactly what she needed. They saved her life and that is something I will remember forever...thank you all at DAH... yall are awesome and I would recommend you guys 10 times over. I love the fact that they send email to remind me of Missys appointments, AND by mail. Thank you so much...

I highly recommend the doctors and staff at Dothan Animal Hospital ! The whole staff shows compassion and care from the front desk to the back office. When we had to make the decision to have our Blaze put to sleep, they spent time counseling with me over the phone and when We brought him in they took a lot of time explaining things to me. I never have felt that they were in too big of a rush to take care of us ! They truly love the fur babies !

Im so very grateful for the care and help the staff at Dothan Animal Hospital has given me over the years.They always helped to put my mind at ease when ever I have difficulties with my cats, Especially my baby, that has a thyroid problem ,they always, have her YD food available in stock , that is such a Big Relief for me because its the only food she can have.They have always supported me in times of emergency needs and I appreciate it so much.

Absolute best. All of the staff were professional and very friendly. Treated my dog as if he was one of their own. Would definitely recommend to anyone. They made time for my dog even though it wasnt a life or death issue. I called them late in the day because he had an issue with his eye and they told me to bring him on in. They even called the next day to check up on him. Excellent service from great people!

I contacted the office about a matter concerning my dogs. I was instructed that I would need to speak to the office manager, however she was unavailable so I would need to leave a message. I did. No reply. The next day, I called again. They told me to email her so that she would be sure to get the message. I did. No reply. This continued for over a week. (I guess shes extremely busy)

Drs. Garrett & Harris have provided compassionate care for my dogs - working hunters & family pets. Theyve provided options for care when confronted with difficult treatments have been encountered. The staff has been attentive to my needs and have taken good care of my dogs. We appreciate the donation made in memory of Ellie - our beloved Golden Retriever.

BEWARE!! If you have a sick animal on a Saturday, please use someone else. Took my very sick dog to the clinic and was told an outrageous amount to perform surgery since it was Saturday. Was told to wait until Monday. Took my pet to the animal emergency room where I found out she was a lot sicker than I was told and would not have made it to Monday.
