The facility is beautiful and expensive, the personnel are patient and friendly. I was there for a new eyeglass prescription and discovered they considered me ready for cataract surgery, both eyes. These were scheduled two weeks apart and entailed multiple trips to the Goodyear facility as well as the surgical center in Surprise. Youre sent from one station to another where everything is arranged, more money deposited, and pamphlets handed out. Then the fun begins. Other than to offer choices not included in standard Medicare, no one sits you down and tells you how the costs will add up, or what your total cost might be. From co-pays to extra charges, I was sufficiently tired of the routine by final visit to ask for my new (addl charge) prescription. At that point, I couldnt afford it. The staff at the surgical center was pressing hard to stay on schedule, which is apparently maxed out, and nurses comments regarding "haste makes waste" doesnt particularly make you feel more secure. (We are sedated--not out--and everything can be heard.) The overall experience with the atmosphere at the surgical center was not real thrilling. While I do not seem to have lasting negative results with my eyes and the doctor seemed quite proficient, the nurses were harried, and I am still without new lenses and recovering from sticker shock.

The drive is easy to get to the Goodyear area office which is absolutely beautiful the Personnel is awesome, he actually took my husband in early because he thought it was at 10 a.m. and really his appointment was at 2 so they made arrangements for him to be seen at 10 a.m. which was really really nice this place is awesome!!!
