I am beyond frustrated with this organization. There is NO customer service. First getting through to them on the phone is virtually impossible, 3 weeks ago I drove to Bell Road to drop off a records request since I do not trust them to read their faxes. It took me 3 days to get hold of them to cancel an appointment as I was out of town. I now have a situation where I literally cannot get hold of my records. I called on the 8th of September after several attempts and getting a "lines are busy" response to follow up on what was happening. I was told by the person on the other end of the phone that the records were handled by an outside Company. I told her I had been waiting 3 weeks. She said well it can take that long. I pointed out that I had been told 10 days. Oh well. I told her I needed an answer as it was urgent. She told me to call the outside records company myself and chase it. I said I dont know who these people are you are the customer why cant you resolve this. She told me they are not allowed to make outside phone calls. So as I understand it calling them if they have to make a phone call to resolve an issue is a waste of time as they do not make outside calls. I pointed out that I had signed an agreement with them and they were bound by Hippa laws she said "If you want to find out where your records are call them, have a nice day" and hung up. I did call and was told by the outside company that they had sent a request back to AARA two weeks earlier to clarify an address. This obviously went nowhere. Bearing in mind that many of their customers are sick and in in pain the idea that there is no way to communicate with them or have them provide the most basic of service such as ensuring your records are sent is atrocious. I am disgusted with them. Still no records. I have spent an hour today trying to get through to the outside company no response. I realize there is no point in calling AARA they dont care. I simply do not know what to do now. I can get an attorney to contact them but that will cost several hundred dollars and it seems nobody cares anyways. There are some good doctors at this practice but their overall business model is diabolical and its only a matter of time before they implode. I dont care how big a shortage of rheumatologists there are eventually they will stop getting new patients. Has anyone else tried to sign up for the "online" system? What a horrible joke it literally doesnt work. I wasted 3 email addresses trying to get it to work before I gave up. Now they spam me daily to sign up for a system I tried to sign up for 3 times which failed to work 3 times so I had to block their emails.

I have never felt more like just another number than I did at AZ Arthritis & Rheumatology Associates!!! First, I got in quickly due to a cancellation so with in 5 days. When I got to my appointment the Doctor asked me "How did you get in to this appointment so fast?" (which why did that matter). Well we have a waiting list. Anyways, asked questions and told me you have a lot going on with you, so lets take some blood work and see you at your next appointment. 2 weeks later I go back to my appointment and was told you have Fibromyalgia I am going to put you on Gabapentin 300mg take 3x a day and follow up with your Primary Card Dr. There is nothing we can do for you here. But if you have Arthritis come back and see us! FYI, I took the medication for 4 days and ended up in the hospital with all the side effects of the medication they gave me. Mimic of a stroke. I would recommend NOT going to this place no bed side matter, we are like cattle in and out!! Not interested in your well being from the treatment I received!!

several years ago i had seen one of their doctors for help and my issue at the time was taken care of some what but i have not needed to see an RA doctor for 15 years since. I just called the doctors office back to start seeing him again for my RA and was informed that that doctor does not take my insurance. i said "ok fine then can i see a doctor in the group who does?" Reply : NO we have a strict no doctor change policy. WTF! so because i had seen one doctor in the group i cant see one that can take my insurance? WTF! I need help! they do have doctors able to take my insurance but wont let me transfer to them! So in sted of using them i will have to go else ware. Beware any one who agrees to see any of thes doctors, if your like me and your insurance changes every one or two years then DO NOT SEE THEM! eventually you will get screwed out of help!!!

I hate to post this review because I really love Dr. Mona Amin and followed her from another arthritis office to this one, but the incompetence of this office, their sheer, absolute, inability to get the easiest paperwork done, is absolutely ludicrous. Its impossible to make an appointment or cancel an appointment, it took me a week to get lab orders faxed to a lab company (they dont submit electronically and theres one fax machine in the office!), staff made appointments that other staff members then told me werent made, and you will never, ever, get a call back from a medical assistant. Its simply astounding that one office can have this many employees who arent doing their jobs well, especially because when I go in there they are amazing and kind. However, three quarters of my patient experience is spent outside of the office and its intolerable.

AVOID this money grubbing office. I had an initial appointment which I could not make because my gout was so bad the day of the appointment that I could not walk or drive. I called in and talked to one of their schedulers and she said not to worry about it and to call back to reschedule when I was feeling better. I specifically asked if there would be any rescheduling fee and she said there would not be. I called back to reschedule and they will not let me reschedule until I pay them a $75 no-show fee. They were not interested in hearing my side of the story and their "records" of my appointment were not accurate. They are all about caring for income and wealth and apparently could care less about caring for patients. There is a reason they can get you in fairly quickly ..,. read their doctor reviews online

Unfortunately, I was unable to make an appointment at this clinic due to the financial officer saying they do not take my insurance. The insurance in question DOES pay for their services, I checked with the insurance provider. There were not even willing to call the insurance number and check and the financial officer was "too busy" to accept my call. George Eliot - who they quote on their website - would turn over in her grave at their complete lack putting these words into action; "What do we live for, if it is not to make life less difficult for each other." Since I could not get in the front door, I can only comment on the administrative staff - not the quality of the doctors.
