Dr. Carfagno is an overrated medical surgeon. The first time I went to him I had pain in my leg only when I ran. He immediately ordered me to get an MRI, 8 different xrays, and an Ultra sound for blood clots in my legs. Which cost me over $1,000 dollars. After going back to him he misdiagnosed me with "compartment syndrome" (he misdiagnosed my mother with the same thing even though is is present in less than 1% of runners) He ordered me to go to another specialist and get more test done. At this point I was getting fed up with spending a whole bunch of money and getting no result. Months later I went to a PT (Dr. Carfagno would not right me a script, so instead of paying $20 per session, I had to pay $100) who did a gait analysis for me. With less than 4 sessions my leg was no longer in pain when I ran and it turned out I was just putting too much pressure on my heals. All I needed to do was change my form. Dr. Carfagno is incompetent and the only thing he is good at is ordering different test. If you have a whole bunch of money to waste then he is the doctor to go to. He acts like he knows everything but when it comes down to the facts he knows little.

Dr. Carfagno is highly overrated and over priced. I was very unhappy with how I was treated during my first visit, and I will not be going back. They charged me $200 for less than 5 minutes with him, during which he laughed at me for not bringing my entire medical history. He was very egotistical, making sloppy sports analogies instead of actually discussing my medical issues. Understanding that I was paying cash, and would prefer limited or progressive testing, he told me "I would like to help you," but not before having over a dozen tests conducted with multiple specialists. I was very clear that I dont have several thousand dollars lying around for tests. He wouldnt even transfer my prescriptions from my previous doctor. It didnt seem like he wanted to help me at all. This is really how you treat your first time referrals? Save your time and money - GO SEE SOMEONE ELSE

The office manager and billing people here are some of the most unprofessional people Ive ever dealt with. I went in for a simple physical, which is 100% covered by my insurance. They ended up categorizing it as an expanded visit, overcharged me, and then even charged me again for the amount that my insurance DID pay. The billing people would NOT listen to me at all, the office manager wouldnt return my calls, and my insurance company had just as bad of an experience as I did in trying to resolve it. I told them I wasnt paying anything I didnt owe them. Now Ive found out theyve sent it to a collection agency. Ive never missed a bill in my life, have a perfect credit rating, and now these people are putting me through this. I wouldnt go back to this office if I was sick and it was the last clinic in the state. Buyer BEWARE!!

Because of Dr Carfagnos coaching and motivation, for the first time since I left the military I feel like I can take control of my weight and over-all health. I spent 2 years with numbness in my right leg with other Drs that did not seem concerned or even suggested any tests or treatment. Dr. Carfagno was immediately concerned and set me up with MRI and nerve conductivity tests. I know that I am great hands with Dr. Carfagno and his staff. I highly recommend him to anyone athlete or not.

My first appointment doctor Carfagno didnt even see me, I was talking to his assistant they still insisted I pay full 250 and was asked to make xrays. Second appointment I paid 180, he manipulated my rib into right place and offered me a reseller drug for 50$ to help joints. I was recommended to see that man, 600$ later I had single adjustment. So shop for someone else to do joint manipulations, maybe the kind of person who wont use your pain to empty your wallet.

Dr. Carfagno is a sports medicine specialist and is boarded in internal medicine. He has a great understanding of medicine and especially sports medicine. He is extremely active and personally involved with sports so he understands athletes better than any doctor Ive worked with.

The only person we send for sports injuries. He is the best in town. He treats his patients as if they are family and only does what is medically necessary for patients.
