OK - I admit it - I HATE THE DENTIST!! So getting me to go to the dentist after ___years, was an adventure for my other half. (Hes been very happy going to Dr. Miller for about 3 years; they met playing adult hockey.) Dr. Miller talked with my other half spoke about the procedures and first trip was uneventful. (While Dr. Miller deserves most of the credit - the other half did provide moral support throughout the process!!!) Xrays, some basic cleaning and Zoom whitening. I survived, and the staff was so thoughful - they knew I had bad experiences in the past and all checked on me. Travis was great on the whitening; talking to me through the entire process. Two weeks later - I went BY MYSELF! This time, a deep cleaning and three caps/bonds to even out some chipped teeth. All good - the deep cleaning did not even hurt and I was very apprehensive. Again, whenever I got a little nervous and needed to take a break; Dr. Miller stopped and let me do so. Hes a very thorough, but thoughful and caring dentist. The staff is wonderful - Linda, Michael at the reception desk and the office is very modern and clean. (The massage chairs are nice!) My teeth look and feel great. Whenever I mentioned a "rough spot"; Dr. Miller polished it out - he did not complain about my sensitivity and the fact that I really needed some extra polishing - I suppose I have a sensitive tongue/mouth. I talked to two of my other "Yelp" friends who also did not like the dentist and all are patients of Dr. Miller. While we all still hate going to the dentist (Basically, we all had bad experiences as kids/young adults.), we all agree that Dr. Miller is THE BEST DENTIST we have gone to. Ill be back in three months for a regular check-up.

BEST DENTIST IN THE WORLD, LITERALLY! I have had dental issues all of my life, both small & large, and over the past 20+ years I have lived & worked in seven different States and three foreign countries where I underwent a lot of different dental procedures … from teeth cleanings, to cavity fillings, crowns, root canals, crown lengthening, extractions, as well as dental implants just to hit some of the highlights. What I can say with absolute certainty now, after over the decades of dental work that has been performed in my mouth all around the World, is that Dr. James Miller D.M.D. (located at 9821 N 95th Street, Scottsdale, Arizona 85258) and all of his staff are without equal; truly. I have never written a review for any dentist before, nor was I asked to do so in this case, but when you have had almost every single dental experience like I have AND you can cross compare every dentist, their staff and how they practice dentistry comparing overall abilities, expertise, practice behaviors, procedures & tools/equipment, continuing education, etc., that are used by the dentist him or herself, again, I will categorically state that I have found the best dentist I could ever have in Dr. James Miller D.M.D. Anyone who once hated visiting the dentist will be forever changed once they are treated by Dr. Miller and his staff as they practice the best dentistry I have ever experienced with the best staff assembled. Thank you Dr. Miller, Lisa, Travis, Sherry, Joyce, Kimberly and Amber!

Dr Miller and his staff are GREAT! When I moved to AZ I tried out 2 other dentists and wasnt happy, either with their demeanor or their staff so I made an appointment to interview Dr. Miller. I wanted to know how his crowns looked and how he gave injections. He is up on the latest technology also. I needed gum surgery again. (My 1st was when I was 21 and I am now 62.) I was dreading it because I know what it entails. Either take skin from the roof of my mouth, use cadaver tissue (a dead persons skin in MY MOUTH? I dont think so!) or I believe another option but after cadaver tissue I tuned him out. Then he mentioned using a laser. Hmmm....that piqued my curiosity! I watched a video and agreed to have the procedure. Its been 3 years now and my teeth and gums havent been better! Also when I need a crown he can make it right there in the office! No more return appointments to have the crown put in. Travis is Dr. Millers "Right Hand Man" and hes phenomenal. From when I was a child who was terrified of the dentist, to jumping out of the chair, running out the door and hiding in the bushes to Dr. Millers gentle touch....AND MASSAGING CHAIRS! The BEST Dentist and staff around! Im almost 30 years old and have been to plenty of dentists. I stopped going when I was about 18 unless I had an emergency come up and thats because all the dentists Ive had have been horrible. They are insensitive, they get you in and out, they dont care if they havent numbed you enough, etc. Dr. Miller is different! He cares about his patients and his staff is amazing, as well. Everyone is always super friendly and talkative. They put things on your file so they know if youre allergic to anything or that you take longer to numb and need extra shots. They make sure youre comfortable and they are always asking how youre doing. I love them!!! I found them thanks to YELP and the fact that they are close to my place of employment. I had an emergency and decided that I would test them out based on their awesome reviews. YELP did not let me down. I actually do not mind going to the dentist anymore and I recommend them to everyone!

Enjoy Life

I love Dr. Miller and his staff. I process complaints for an insurance company for a living so often view places through the eyes of the people who complaint... I got nothing. The staff high five little kids that are going to their seat smiling, I have heard Dr. Miller giving kind comforting words to children crying, his staff always remember that I travel two hours to see him. I have been to several dentists who after any work done on my teeth changed my bite. Dr. Millers work never changes my bite and if you need a root canal it can be done in one trip. I have not been misquoted on costs by the staff. I have a terrible candy addiction and due to genetics and not taking good care of myself when I was younger, I have had a TON of work done on my mouth. I love Dr. Miller and will not be searching for anyone else.

I went to Dr. Miller because I went on a new insurance plan that my previous dentist would not accept. My boyfriend is a patient of Dr. Miller and he likes him, so I decided to go. I was having tooth pain on a tooth where I had a crown. Turns out I needed a root canal, which Dr. Miller performed. It was my first root canal and I was a bit apprehensive, but Dr. Miller and his staff did an excellent job. I had very little pain after the procedure, and one Aleve took care of it. I will definitely continue seeing Dr. Miller and recommend him to all.
