I dont recommend this dental office (Bright Now! Dental, Alameda) to anyone who needs a dental service. I have seen an attractive, big sign on their clinic , advertising dental cleaning plus X-ray for $39. I recently had a comprehensive dental work done out of state 2 months ago including a root canal and I am completely fine now and all I need was to get a dental cleaning. The price was very reasonable for cleaning. When I got there, they took individual x-rays from 14 different teeth before they even consider the cleaning. Although i told them that i recently had a dental work done, and I have no cavities or any concerns or toothache related to any of my teeth, they kept insisting that they need these x-rays, 14 of them!!!!. Then they told me that the price for cleaning plus x-rays would be $169. I reminded them their advertisement for $39 which includes x-ray and cleaning, They started playing dirty and tried to convince me that I needed 14 x-rays before they clean my teeth and asked me to pay $169 for that. You do not need to be a dentist to know that nobody needs 14 rx-ays unless your doctor examines and determines that you need those x-rays or unless as a patient you have complaints related to 14 teeth. I now know that all they want is to have you step you foot inside their office and they take multiple x-rays, not one, so that they can charge you as much as they want. This dentists office is the biggest scam ever, and do not even waste your time or money by their falsified advertisement. They are going to charge you much more than $39. Long story short, I argued with them and ended up paying $29 for unnecessary 14 x-rays and NO DENTAL CLEANING. This is my experience with this office and I will file an official complaint about them. I hope my experience would save your time and money in the future.

This was my first visit after not going to the dentist for some years now. The only place I know that gives you x-rays, with all digital camera. Amy (The girl that does it) is extremely sweet and likes what she does and you could tell by the way she greeted me and how she asked if i was comfortable. The doctor is very gentle and informative by telling me step by step what it is she is going to do. Its all new state of the art equipment. There is also the assistant of the doctor who was there to help and make it a better experience, then theres the manager Gladis who helped me understand the my insurance policy and was very patient with me and she will help you if you need more dental work with different options and is very personable. For going to the dentist, overall is was a good experience. and now with $29 ... Wow cleaning and x-rays included!! Great! just in perfect for me and i am a college student who is always on a budget

Im surprised at some of the the low ratings for Bright Now Dental in Alameda. Ive been a patient there for almost two years, and have several exams, cleanings, and a crown installed. Its a big practice, and you get a different dentist each time but the dentists have all been super and the facility is new and clean and everyones always been very professional and pleasant. Very easy to get an appointment. They use the new digital x-rays that use about 1/10 the amount of radiation as the old school x-rays that many dentists still use, and can be shared with other dentists via e-mail. Have been very happy with Brite Now Alameda..

It was that time of year to get my check ups and fixes with a dentist so gave this place a try. I took it upon myself to walk in, obtain information and get some paperwork underway. Soon, i was able to break down what needs to be done, what cost would look like and see how they work with my insurance. To top that off, everything was done straight to the point. The times Ive visited have been smooth, quick and efficient which is what i needed based on how my schedule is set up. They will work with you and help you out as much as possible. Definitely recommend this office.

I called to inquire about dental services. The receptionist, I assumed the one who answered sound very flat, short response and unaccommodating. Was not able to get a significant information I need. The person put the phone down while I am making inquiries which I find offensive. The rating of 3.9 star could be more a reflection frontline staff. I am giving 1 star for this service. Replace your receptionist because that person is bad for your business.

My son has a monthly Ortho appointment and scheduled during his school lunch hour so in and out is important to us. Overall, were happy with the service from front desk to the patients room. We received appointment reminder from the front desk and pretty flexible if need to reschedule if we have emergency comes up. Dr. Cheny and all the assistants (Roxy and Robert) are great, very professional. Thank you and keep up with the great work!

Misleading. They have "$29 cleaning and check up" special offer package , they call you in and when u get there they will make you pay $29 just for the check up not for the cleaning. Later they will send you a mail saying you have to pay $10 extra for enrolling which you have no idea about. Rude service (when you get inside). Not informative at all. Disappointing. :(

Only the x ray technician seemed to know what he was doing. Will barely lift a finger to contact insurance companies for coverage then will bill you and tell you to deal with it. Now they are demanding a $45 dollar fee to release my own x - rays, which I have found out is illegal. I am writing the Californias state attorney generals office right now.

It was one of the best offices I have been to. It is quick most of the time but sometimes they are really busy and take a little longer. They recently lost a member and they are still recovering but they are a very wonderful team they are fun and respectful so if they see this THANK YOU :)

Very friendly staff! Theyre efficient and very thorough, giving patients information about what exactly to expect next during any given procedure or simple cleaning. They always make me feel comfortable! Definitely happy with bright now dental

Extremely sketchy billing practices demanding payment for covered procedures. The dentists are fine but you should be comfortable being ripped off if you go here.
