I went to this dentist because he was voted one of the best in the bay area. But after going there, I dont really understand how he got this title. After my consultation the assistant told me it would cost me $1200 to fix each tooth. I was considering going somewhere else when she called me back and told me she messed up on the price and it would be only $300 per tooth. I decided to stick with this dentist anyway. At my next appointment the dentist and assistant got right to work. They numbed me up and started drilling. Then suddenly they stopped and remembered that they should have taken x-rays first! It was quite frustrating to have the drilling interrupted to take x-rays. After the dentist finished I was shocked when I could not shut my jaw. It was stuck open! The dentist blamed it on my jaw hinge and said it was common for some people. Later, when I looked up the problem online I found out that it can be caused when the dentist accidentally injects the anaesthetic into the jaw muscle instead of the nerve. Further, as I checked out I got a lecture from the assistant about staying away from sodas and fruit juices even after I explained I only drink water and tea. I was not there because of cavities, I was there to fix a chipped filling so I dont get why she was lecturing me.

Great dentist and service! I have been going to this dentist for close to 10 years and I must say he and his staff are the best! They have been courteous, polite and professional. Also they go the "extra" mile in their customer service being very flexible in scheduling, giving lots of insights into what is being done, all in addition to being a superb dentist. I highly recommend Dr. Perez!!

I went to see Dr. Perez for cosmetic dentistry work. He is kind, gentle and very thorough. He answered all my questions and discussed several options but did not nudge or pressure me into any particular treatment. I really like his office manager. She is always pleasant, informative and accommodating.
