Hello, I had to quickly prepare for a trip to Darfur in November 2008.I had many concerns because I would not only be traveling but working and living with ID Ps in the camps for several months.I didnt have much time to receive multiple vaccinations over a period of time,Dr.Dover had come highly recommended to me from a medical professional.I contacted Dr.Dover several times via email and always received quick responses to my email. I could go on about his excellent service and extensive knowledge of travel medicine.Since November 2008 I have received over 10 vaccinations from Dr.Dover in preparation for missions in Sri Lanka and Nigeria.I have always enjoyed every interaction and have felt better prepared for my journeys.His office is conveniently located and can be reached by public transportation and bicycle. Dr Dover is a great resource for our area. His knowledge of vaccinations and travel medicine and illness are vast. If you have any foreign travel planned dont just rely on your family practitioner or the CDC website, go to him for advice that will take into not just the country you plan to travel in, but what time of year, what region and what activities you plan. Dr Dover was particularly helpful to me in some of my travels to India, when he supplied me with a very specific list of medications and instructions to take in case I became sick while traveling in India. Unfortunately I did become sick and I credit the "pre-emptive" kit that he supplied me with as potentially saving my life, or at least saving me from what could have been hospitalization in a highly speculative facility.

For years, I have consistently received premiere travel advice and care from Dr. Art Dover. He sees the whole picture and provides superb medical care. His medical information is always current and advice about vaccinations includes knowledge about specific disease trends at destination sites. His availability for follow-up questions is unmatched. He also offers an array of travel-related items that have been so convenient for me. We started to travel to foreign countries ten years ago. Dr. Dover has given us down to earth advise, warm personal care and unbelievable service. We needed vaccinations to travel to Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, Namibia, Botswana, Thailand and Australia. He sends reminder emails, will give advise per email without demanding an office visit (unlike many other MDs) and answers questions even on weekends. He takes the time to visit in his office and will see patients on Saturdays. What an amazingly refreshing physician in this hurried and money focused environment of medical care. I took a trip to a small city called Phalaborwa in South Africa. Dr. Dover researched the area to make sure I had all the medication I needed, including malaria meds. He prescribed addition medication "just in case" I were to get sick while in South Africa. He was friendly and informative. He answered all my questions and concerns with helpful, honest answers. Great doctor all around! My work even did a flu vaccine and he brought the second dose of a vaccine with him so that I could finish up and complete my vaccine after I returned home from Africa. I give him two thumbs up!

Excellent travel immunization doctor. Not only does he have on hand most vaccines few other offices would ever carry (yellow fever being an example), he determines the best care for you based on your travel destination. Being an experienced traveler himself, he knows this arm of medicine. Dr Dover is educated in tropical medicine from London. He is also known for halting an outbreak of malaria in the States during the Vietnam War era.

Im traveling quite a bit with our Bamboo bike efforts. Dr. Dover has been really helpful, not just for all the vaccinations but the peace of mind if I did get into trouble over there. Hes provided names and contact info of competent doctors in various places as much safer alternatives than the local hospital. Dr. Dover walks the walk and knows what to expect. Craig Calfee

My wife and I were going on a very last-minute trip to Haiti and I did not have all of the vaccinations that I needed. Dr. Dover took time out of his schedule to show up on his off hours to meet me and give me all of the vaccinations that I needed.
