I saw Dr Alkoury for a chipped front tooth and minor pain in an upper back molar few months ago.. He found an abcess under the root canal and damaged bone.He removed the tooth, cleaning out the decayed bone and did a bone transplant. I needed pain meds for one day. My sinus and ear pain went away immdiately. I will be having a tooth implant in a month. He repaired the front tooth which had been chipped in the past and not repaired correctly, which is why it continued to break off He also discovered inflamed radial nerves which appear to be caused by a Temporomandibular (jaw hinge) Joint problem. I have a great deal of lateral movement in my jaw. I have had severe pain in my shoulders, neck and scapular area for a number of years which has not abated in spite of medical treatment and sugery. I woke up with pain and computer work was agony. I have been using the dental appliances that Dr Jamil Alkhoury devised for the TMJ problems which he believes is causing the C4-C5 & shoulder & neck pain for a month today. Right scapular & C5/C5 "red hot iron" pain is gone. With great pressure over C4/C5 bones, I can feel slight tenderness. Left shoulder & arm pain is now a 2 instead of 10. His computerized exams show bite is correcting, less movement to left & vibration when opening & closing mouth. Neuro exam shows increased ability to resist pressure when radial nerves stimulated. With appliance in he cannot push arms down. Sleep apnea shows borderline now & I can sleep 6-8 hours instead of 3-4. Pain does not wake me now. I have amazing differences in energy & pain relief. I had no idea TMJ joint could cause so many problems with radial nerve inflamation. I never had TMJ pain, so did not even think of it, although I have been in the medical field for 40 years. Nor have my doctors ever suggested it might be causing the shoulder and arm pain. The range of motion with my arms is excellent and virtually w/o pain now. Will continue use of dental appliances as we adjust things. Also now receiving laser trmt. for a few tender pressure points in shoulders. Highly recommend this dentist.

I have been with Dr. Alkworthy for about 6 years. I have had mouth alignment to crowns, to massive dental makeover for front teeth. He is at the top of his profession for precision dental work if that is what you are are looking for. He makes certain you are happy at all costs and having a colorful history of a few painful dentist I can tell you with a certain amount of authority his work is painless. I am certain of all I say, as the dental work I have had with him, has been intensive. I keep coming back, so I do trust him. He likes to call himself an artist with teeth and I am certain that is one description however, I call him an advanced Dental Expert in his field - who continues to stay on top of the latest Dental Procedures and Prides himself in being an expert, in each new one he learns. All of this, will Cost you, also, they like to be paid in full, prior to beginning the work. He can be blunt at times but usually hes telling truth whether you want to hear it or not. He wants to make you happy and love your pain free smile.

His staff is very personable and knowledgeable as well I truly feel like I am part of the family. I have also utilized Dr Alkhourys knowledge in the ortho arena. My daughter had her 1st phase with another orthodontist when she was 8yrs old (they did warn me she may need a second phase) when she turned 15 and a Freshman in high school I decided it was time to do the second phase, Dr Alkhoury create his own bond and relationship with my daughter and she also grew to trust him, her smile is ridiculously amazing and bright and only in 6 weeks yes 6 weeks, modern technology and a wise Dentist. I have been a dental patient at Brentwood Family Dental for two years and just four months ago I decided to have braces using the laser prox method developed and patented by my dentist. Within THREE months my process was completed and just TODAY I am out of my braces! My teeth are healthy and my smile is to die for! My dentist is the best! He is a perfectionist and exceeded my hopes and expectations! I cant wait to post my first social media pics of my beautiful smile! Dr. Alkhoury is simply the BEST! Our family has been going to Brentwood Family Dental for years and even when we moved we couldnt find a better dentist. So despite the commute we came back to him because no one else was on his level. From his receptionist to the hygienist we always receive the best care. They are so accomadating when it comes to emergencies and we are very grateful for that. The environment of the office is so friendly, and any procedure that is done is descused to make us feel comfortable. I want to give my thanks to Dr. Alkhoury for his generosity and professional care. I give his office as well as him five stars!

Shady. Tried to double charge my wife, ($1,200 out of pocket on top of $300 covered by the insurance) then tried to pressured her into getting a crown. Went as far as to tell her that because she is pregnant she really needs to be concerned of infection. She felt it wasnt right, went home and spoke with the dental insurance. She learned insurance would cover 50% of the procedure and it should only cost $600. Spoke with his own dental assistant and another doctor. There is only a chance of infection if the tooth cracks... Sad... I am starting to believe dentist are the used car salesmen of the Medical industry.
