My wife and I happened to move back to the area at the end of 2013 from the Bay. While we werent unhappy with our last dentist out here, she decided to try and find another dentist (shes in charge!). Somehow she came across Heritage Oak Dental, made my appointment and told me when I needed to go. Well, Im glad she did! This is a great place and I look forward to being a customer for years. The first thing that is noticeable right off the bat is the cleanliness and the exceptionally nice lady who is the receptionist. It seems to be a newer building with nice furnishings. Another thing is the waiting room is HUGE. Without going into too much detail on my particular visit, Dr. Douglas and staff clearly have the latest and greatest technology. They use iPads and other Apple products to enhance the experience. I was taken to an area in which my X-Rays were taken... but instead of having to put those plates in your mouth that nearly gag you, the dental assistant just had me stand next to a machine which rotated around my head. It was quick and painless. I then had my teeth cleaned and examined. After that was painlessly done, Dr. Douglas came into the room with a printout of a treatment plan. He spoke to me about my dental history and my goals with my smile. We talked about various options... he really wasnt trying to "sell" me up on anything - and he left my goals completely up to me. I happened to have chipped my front tooth about a week before my appointment... and it was bugging me big time. I asked him to fill it along with another cavity. I remember during the procedure he said "This front tooth wont be exactly perfect, but the chip will definitely be gone."... Well, he was wrong - my front teeth look perfect. He matched the color of my teeth perfectly and they honestly look the best they ever have. On a side note, he is in fact the first dentist that has indicated to us that our insurance covers FOUR cleanings per year. Why wouldnt every dentist point this out? Would seem to be a win-win situation. Anyway... I could go on and on... but I was very satisfied with everything and looking forward to another visit. One last night... my wife and I have a 3 year old old and when he was 10 months old on a random afternoon, my son decided to face plant directly onto our tile floor and his gums were bleeding like crazy. We stopped by to see Dr. Douglas because it was on the way and we figured a dentist would be easier to get to take a look than waiting in the emergency room. He quickly took a look, instructed us what to do and said the bleeding should go away. He told us it wasnt serious and helped two first time parents from having a panic attach. We now take both our 3 year old and 1 year old there. We dont waste our time w a pediatric dentist- we made that mistake. These guys are perfect w kids and our kids love them. I have great pictures of my three year old just chilling in his cleaning chair and he doesnt do that at home for anything! Thanks Dr. Douglas!

Dr. Shane Douglas has, without a doubt, removed my fear of going to the dentist. To spare myself the embarrassment I had avoided going to the dentist for nearly 10 years. I knew my all nighters fueled by Red Bulls was catching up to me. After trying a few dentists over the last year, including another in the area, I was always in extreme pain or embarrassed by other staffers reactions. Not here. Dr. Shane and the staff have been consistently focusing on my goal of a healthy smile; not on how I looked walking in. Dr. Shane took the time to answer all of my questions, and was the first Dentist to explain why my teeth were so sensitive, even when numbed. Ive had multiple visits to Heritage Oak Dental over the last year and I am so excited to feel confident when I smile. I was able to feel at ease during my procedures while taking advantage of sedation dentistry ("laughing gas") in addition to Novocain. I was even able to finish my Netflix series while it all took place. As a programmer and developer I was excited to see their use of modern technology. A perfect mix of traditional and modern. 5 stars without a doubt - the entire staff have been nothing but focused on my recovery plan, and its worked.

I cant say enough about the team at Heritage Oaks Dental. My entire family is treated there and I always refer friends to Heritage Oaks for their dental needs. The office is a very calm and welcoming environment. It is always impeccably clean. There is a separate T.V. and Video Game area for the children. The self serve refrigerator with cold water is always full. Complimentary Coffee and Tea are at your disposal. The staff is amazing! They actually take the time to get to know you and your family members. Dr. Douglas could not be more informative, professional and helpful in terms of meeting all of your dental needs. He makes every effort to be on time and not leave you waiting. If you have a dental emergency he is always willing to see you. (Even on weekends!) Can you say that about your current dentist? I always have the best experience at Heritage Oak Dental. The staff is friendly, professional and work very hard to see that you have the best experience. The Dr. was very knowledgeable and also worked with me to find the best care plan within my budget. I will request my hygienist every time I go back. She spent extra time and detail to get some light staining from ice tea off my teeth and left me with the whitest smile I have had in years. The office is full of the latest technology and assures me that I am getting the best care available. If you live in the Sacramento area it is worth the drive to get great care. I have shopped around for years to find someone to trust with my teeth and Heritage Oak Dental is the only place I will go to.

Love, Love, love this office! Ive been coming here for about 3 yrs now and the office staff is always so inviting and friendly. The customer service is amazing. The hygienists and Drs are also fantastic! The hygienists remember who I am and are genuinely nice. I just started seeing their newest dentist, Dr Ben Kloss. Let me say, if you want someone that will make you laugh, someone who will ease your fears, and someone who can also be serious about your dental care, you want Dr Kloss!! So glad he is at Heritage now! I highly recommend this office to everyone. They are also easy to find and in a great location just off Hwy 65.

Before coming in to Heritage Oak Dental, I was in an extreme amount of pain and due to the fact that I was having trouble finding an office that would cover my root canal thru my insurance, I was living with the pain for months. Needless to say, I was miserable., But thanks to the clean, modern facilities kind, friendly staff and the timely, very professional services of Dr. Douglas my mind was quickly put to ease. I really feel like a joint effort between all involved set me back on the right track for restoring my oral hygiene and I recommend Heritage Oak Dental to anyone in the area.
