We went to see Dr. Biyo for my son after he was born. He was born 5 weeks early and we were told at discharge there were some things for us to look for. One of those being jaundice. When we brought him to Dr. Biyos office on Monday for his first appointment she was very quick to talk over us and not address our concerns about jaundice. On Wednesday I brought him to my OB and she said he looked yellow and I should call my pediatrician to get his bilirubin levels checked. We went in the same day and she was very loud and rude saying she didnt want to see us because we were a few min late and she had an appointment to get to. Her assistant took us back and weighed him. On Monday he weighed 5lbs 5oz according to her scale. On Wednesday when he was weighed again he was 4lbs 1oz!! Dr. Biyo comes in the room and tells us oh that fine I calculated it and its only an 8% drop in weight. Im not a Dr, or even a mathematician but thats a little more than 8%... I put him on the scale before we left and it read 5lbs 2oz ( obviously her scale wasnt working). Instead of addressing our concerns about the jaundice she jumps into how his lip and tongue are tied and she can clip them, she went into a sales pitch about how good she is and how many she does a week. I declined, as the lactation consultant said he was fine and he has PLENTY of wet/dirty diapers. I tried to redirect her to the jaundice, she pinched him, said he looked fine, and then told us she had to go because she was late to an appointment but to schedule an appointment to get his tongue clipped. We found a new pediatrician who actually tested his bilirubin levels today (its now Friday) they are high and she wants to continue to monitor over the weekend and next week. What a difference to find a Dr that addresses our concerns and takes action. I would NEVER recommend this Dr to anyone. My sister took her son here once but now she is switching Doctors as well

Had Dr. Biyo in the hospital at Mercy San Juan and immediately was extremely rude. She then forced me against my wishes to do testing by making me feel bad in the decisions I was making for my baby. She was completely unprofessional and extremely aggressive. I was caught off guard because I had just had my baby and she immediately busted thru my door not allowing me to get my rest after I asked if she could come back in an hr as I was exhausted. She is exactly the type of pediatrician moms must steer clear from. She then threatened to call social services on me because I refused her suggestions. Please for yourself and your baby, DO NOT GO TO DR. BIYO. STAY AWAY!!!

She never knows who my kids are, she doesnt look at us when she talks, and she seems like she doesnt even read their charts before she comes in to talk to us. Nothing gets accomplished here, unfortunately , our insurance wont let us go elsewhere.
