Before my beautiful cat, I helped my brother with his dog (including visits to the vet). He had tried different vets, but ultimately stayed with Lakeside Pet Hospital. Per his recommendation, and my own experience, I decided to take my cat into Lakeside for her vaccinations, checkup, and so on. I was a little bit worried (I love her to death, and she means a LOT to me), but felt a lot better knowing I could trust the staff at Lakeside Pet Hospital (since I have been there a few times for my brothers dog). Compared to my experience with other veterinary hospitals (whether family dogs, helping relatives and friends, etc) I simply couldnt imagine going anywhere else. Ive been to vets where the staff was cold and blunt, but at Lakeside, theyre very compassionate and caring. The staff who assisted me went through with my Noras examination, gave me an overview, and answered all my questions. They even gave me the time of the day to answer all of my questions (which I havent always had with other establishments). All-in-all, I am very appreciative of this staff, and would highly recommend them to anyone else. If their loving and caring staff isnt reason enough, they price everything very reasonably, and wont hesitate to make sure you and your pet are accommodated for. I dont even live in Folsom anymore, but the peace of mind is well worth the thirty minute drive.

I had the worst thing ever happen last night. My older dog was suffering suddenly and I didnt know what to do. I call Lakeside at 9:30 at night and left a message. Dr. Kaplow called me back within 5 minutes and decided to have me meet him at the office with my dog. He got there, got a stretcher and helped us inside. Even though he could not save him, he helped me with my decision and grief and we ended Griffens life with less suffering and more dignity than I could hope for. I will never ever go to another vet as long as I have pets. We were treated with kindness and compassion and so was my beautiful dog. Thank you Dr. Kaplow.

1/5/2012 - Dr. Kaplow is top notch. I had a guinea pig issue over Thanksgiving weekend and he fit us in and took care of us. He knew a lot about guinea pigs and did a through exam and took time to answer all of my questions. He is our vet of choice for all animals going forward. We highly recommend Lakeside Pet Hospital and the front staff is helpful and great as well!

Weve lived in the Folsom area for over 35 years and always had a couple of dogs in the family. Had experiences with many vets. Dr. Kaplow is best vet we have ever had. In addition to being very knowledgable, he truly cares about his patients. Hes thorough in his exams and in explaining both the problems our dogs have and treatments. Highly recommended.

I adopted my pup about 6 years ago and would never take him anywhere else. The staff at this Vet are top-notch and the Vets will provide them with excellent care (without making you feel as if youve been bamboozled). They are transparent, honest and compassionate. I recommend them 100%.
