I came in with my dog for her annual checkup. On the first visit everything was fine. The checkup consisted of a quick pat down of my dog and her vital signs. Then my dog got her vaccines. I inquired about the Lyme’s disease vaccine due to the fact I like to take my dog hiking. I was told that I would have to come back for a 2nd shot. Sure, no problem. As I was checking out and making my second appointment I specifically asked if the bill included the second visits, I was told yes it was.so I came back about two weeks later to get her second shot. took about 5 min. as I was checking out I was charged another $89 for 5 min in an exam room and a shot. I am sure you could imagine my surprise about the extra charges. I explained to the person that I checked out that I already paid. He REALLY didn’t care. The reason I am not going back has nothing to do with the $89, it is because I was lied to by the staff, and no one really cared about it. I can’t trust your staff to give my dog the care that she deserves. Your staff made me feel that the dog’s health is secondary to the more key issue which is how much can we get out of my checking account. I am not going to subject my dog to fast food vet hospital. the funny part about this is since the hospital only cares about money and doesnt care about honesty, they just lost out on an $850 bill. my dog needs a tooth extracted and I am NOT going to the Folsom California Benfield to have it done. your hospital was so concerned about lying to me and getting one more dollar out of my checking account they lost a much bigger bill. Serves them right.

Do not support Banfield! I have been with Banfield for years for our dog. Their customer service continues to go down hill. When we first started 5 years ago. They were amazing. We were extremely happy with their service. This past year we have felt like they just nickel and dime you now. They tell you that there glads need to be expelled and it is an extra charge (I have never been charged extra for this till this past year). Then her nails need to be trimmed they are more expensive than the pet grooming place right next door (in the same store!) When you pay for the plan you are supposed to get 2 included full examination visits. I used one almost a year ago and went to schedule my next today. They told me that since my plan expired today I have to pay for another year to get my second visit! Really I have already payed $407.40 and they are going to deny my second visit. Do not support this company. They now nickel and dime you for everything and they do not honor the second visit included in the package if your close to needing to renew. I will be taking my business somewhere else with better customer service.

This place was horrible, from their ineptness to their complete lack of customer service. After presenting the staff with a prescription for dog food, they presented me with a card and the dog food. When I went back for another bag of food.... purchasing it from what was printed on the card, it was different than what was given to me the first time. The staff told me that both foods were the same. I then found out that not only were the two foods not the same, but neither one of the them were what my vet had prescribed. None of the employees I dealt with over two days cared that they had given me two different bags of food or the fact that neither were the right food and my sick dog had been on the wrong food for a month. I left a message two times for the Manger to call so I could express what I felt were significant errors and that every person I dealt with had a complete lack of accountability, ability to give accurate information or the willingness to help resolve the issue. But the Manager Jennifer didnt even bother to call me back.

We love the Banfield Pet Hospital in Folsom! We are on the wellness plan, and I have found it super helpful and convenient. Their extended hours really help, because not all issues occur 9-5 M-F. Additionally, I love the peace of mind knowing that if something is "just not right" I can take my dog in to have a professional weigh in, without it costing me an arm and a leg. Weve never had a problem getting an appointment, and weve never had to wait long when we needed a visit. I would recommend to anyone (and I have recommended to friends and family on multiple occassions)!

Our experience with our first puppy was wonderful. Dr. Woodworth is such as awesome vet. We recently saw another vet there for our newest puppy and I felt very annoyed with the fact that he tried to talk us into signing up for the wellness plan. I told him that I did not have the money at that moment and he kept on pushing the issue. If you ever need to take your pet there I would suggest you request Dr. Woodworth.

Took my 15 year old dog there a couple of years ago. He had some bad skin condition made worse from the heat. The vet checked him out and gave us several options, from bathing him in antibiotic shampoo to having several expensive blood tests. I went with the less expensive shampoo route (and diet changes-no grains!) and this cleared up his skin. Good overall experience.

What a great place! Our puppy is in good hands. They are really concerned about his health and his future health. They have addressed and handled all of his issues. Another thing I especially like is they tell you upfront what everything is going to cost so there are no surprises. Great people, great clean facility, great care, great location! How do you beat that?
