This past year I have brought my cat, two kittens and, most recently, my dog to the clinic. I love this place. They are all business. The staff works incredibly hard due to the high volume of animals that comes through their door. It is non-stop. Yes, the front room can be crampt and sometimes a person will accidently cut in front, but it is not the end of the world. A girl cut in front of me and afterwards she realized what she had done and was very apologetic. No big deal. It happens. I have never heard staff be rude to customers. Interestingly, I have overheard customers be extremely rude to staff and the staff members have always maintained their professionalism. The staff has always been friendly to me, but I am also a firm believer that you get what you put out. A little common courtesy and human decency goes a long way in a busy environment; therefore, I have always had a pleasant experience here. All of my animals had zero complications post-op and the staff sent me home with plenty of meds and clear instructions should any problems occur. My bill is always a fraction of what it would be elsewhere. You pay pennies on the dollar for a skilled staff and a high level of care. In summation, if you are looking to be coddled and have your butt kissed, this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a professional, skilled and straightforward staff then you might appreciate this clinic as much as I do. Thank you Auburn Spay and Neuter for all of the good work you are doing!!

I just dropped my pup off and am really nervous. The assistant in the exam room, along with the vet, were incredibly condescending. As a registered vet tech (turned middle school math and science teacher) with extensive shelter medicine experience, I understand the necessity of sterilization to aid with the pet over population problem. That being said, Im a huge outspoken advocate for spaying and neutering, and am grateful for the low cost clinics that make this service available for the public. What I dont appreciate however is the lack of consideration Auburn Spay and Neuter demonstrated today. Perhaps the two women I dealt with dislike their jobs, or maybe they woke up cranky. Regardless of the reason, theres no excuse for bad behavior. I honestly got the very distinct impression that these people view folks using a low cost spay/neuter clinic as "low lifes". Auburn Spay and Neuter Clinic please be advised, if you want people to understand the importance of sterilizing their pets, please reconsider mistreating them. If you persist with your bad behavior the very people youre trying to educate are not going to hear your words. Who would want to listen! Shame on you.

The staff is plain rude except for Audrey!!! They treat the client as if they are a child who knows nothing. I appreciate what they are doing but you shouldnt have to feel completely degraded. I am a foster mom to dogs and I feel as if I am doing my part but to be treated like a complete idiot is uncalled for. I asked who is in charge turns out the lady who does the intake of animals is and she was the one degrading many clients. Its completely wrong. They also need a sign in system or pull numbers because its complete utter chaos and since there are 2 waiting rooms many people are cut off or are not waited on in the order they arrive. As a foster dog parent I spend money out of my pocket to do the job others didnt do and to be treated this way is WRONG!! I feel sad that many people have to suffer through this treatment not only that HOW ARE we suppose to feel comfortable leaving our babies in the hands of a mean and nasty person.

I have a friend who had 3 pets spayed here without a hitch. My daughter & her husband took their labradoodle for neutering and it was a disaster. The stitches opened when they got him home and he had to be rushed to local ER the following morning. AS&N issued Motrin as a pain killer that had no affect on pain. The dog ended up on antibiotics and Tramadol. There is no follow up here, it is strictly spay or neuter and send em out the door. If your pet is like your child, suggest you spend the extra money on your own veterinarian. The money they saved on services here ended up costing twice as much had they taken him to their normal vet.

Amazing care for all four of our pets which they have spayed, neutered or treated. They require cash as they are non-profit and it simplifies their process. Ive heard people in waiting area complaining and arguing about the cash only policy. Those people should not be clogging the line. I dont believe a word of "dog owner"s review. It doesnt sound like anything Ive witnessed in my many visits. I am amazed at how polite the workers in the clinic are considering how busy they are. This place is a blessing to all who want to give proper care to their pets and cant afford the high price of fancy veterinary offices.

I dont like to see all these neg comments. The staff is very busy. Please read Jessicas comments, shes got it right. I was always very happy with this facility. $5 office visit, includes weighing your animal. I truly had a bad experience with VIP, they are VERY expensive, long lines, no seats, medicines are $20-30 more, and no chance to weigh your large puppy to know how much to feed it and get the right dosage for meds. This facility offers everything you need at a low cost. However, you may need a bit of patience and wait your turn to be taken care of. I appreciate this place and its staff.

The ladies working the front desk were very efficient and helpful. The back of the house workers were very skilled with the animals, as well. Everyone was friendly and genuine. My partner and I felt very confident this place would be safe for our fury babies during their operation! Parking was able Wouldve given 5 stars but its a fairly poorly designed office.

With the exception of one young employee This group of wemon were very unpleasant and unhelpful to both my wife in the morning and myself in the evening when we took our dog in for spaying. I can only imagine how my dog was treated if they treat their customers the way they treated us. Spend a few dollars extra and go to a reputable vet.

I drove from Fair Oaks (45 min drive) because they have such good prices on everything they do. I am a college student so this place is a savior. I had my 2 cats spayed and neutered and everything was great. I am returning this week to get them rabies shots for only $10 with exam fee of only $5! Cant beat that
