We have been going to AAA Animal Hospital, and specifically Dr. Anthony Rizk, for several years. The facility, the doctors and the staff are wonderful, caring, attentive and up-front about all costs. We first started here given they are affordable and accessible (open Saturdays and Sundays, a huge deal for my wife and I with busy workweek schedules). We have treated elsewhere for far more money and far less care. We looked around, asked around, and eventually came to really enjoy and value this facility and staff. The trade-off with the accessibility and fair pricing (that several people seem to critique), is that the facility is no appointments, first come, first serve. So plan accordingly if walking in on Saturday at noon. Some reviews seem to take issue with fees. Of course we would all love a $25 check-up and nothing to be wrong. But sometimes, just like with humans, lab work is needed, x-rays are warranted, medication is prescribed, and your pet can easily require a $200 visit. I understand there are "pet insurance" programs out there, we did not have one. We found AAA and the staff to always be upfront about the potential costs. Perhaps due to some earlier negative comments, or new policies, etc., we found they always propose options first, let you chose/approve (literally see the bill and sign off on an estimate), then proceed as desired. No sales pitch, no pressure, just the options and proposals for what is needed and recommended, your choice how to proceed. We never had a "surprise" bill and we always clearly told, up-front, what the charges would be. Our beloved Mr. Kitty had many simple appointments and check-ups. Over a month ago, Mr. Kitty had a lump on his neck. Of course x-rays were warranted. The news was not good. Mr. Kittys breathing got worse (obstructed by cancerous growth) and a risky and highly-skilled surgery was needed. My wife and I have been fortunate to be in a position to elect to proceed with surgery (as opposed to other options at that time). Dr. Rizk and his partner performed the impossible and successfully removed the growth. Dr. Rizk called frequently to update us. Mr. Kitty came home and was relaxed and comfortable. Dr. Rizk called to check-up. A biopsy revealed further heartbreaking news, as Mr. Kitty’s condition got worse, and breathing and other problems escalated. When the ultimate hard decision was needed, Dr. Rizk and the staff at AAA could not have been more sympathetic and caring. One of the worst decisions to make, and hardest day to endure, was made as comfortable as possible for my wife, myself and Mr. Kitty. We highly recommend AAA Animal Hospital, Dr. Anthony Rizk and all the staff. We will adopt again, eventually, and look forward to their care of our next beloved pet.

I dont normally write these reviews but after the experience I had with them just yesterday, I am compelled to tell everyone how horrible my experience was with them and their service. Ive been going there for a little over a year with a rescue dog that I took in last May. I got her spayed there and a full set of shots with no problem last year. This year, I went back for my dogs annual check up and shots. At the same time, my nieces new 3 month old puppy had worms and needed a puppy pack of shots and also some lab work. The total for that visit was $245 which isnt my complaint. 2 dogs for shots, my dog ended up having an ear infection so antibiotics were prescribed and some lab work on the worms. Guessing $245 is about right for that. In 2 1/2 weeks I returned for my nieces puppy follow up shots/visit. The receptionist at the office shared with me that I had a balance due. WHAAAATTTT???!!! She then continued to tell me that they had made an error at the time they checked me out last time and they did not charge me correctly. Because it was their fault, she advised that her manager would call me to work it out and did not charge me anything additional. I just returned for my own dogs follow up visit (which btw I now know that it is not required for a dog over 16 weeks old to even have more shots more than annually!). They again asked me for the balance due and that I was incorrectly not charged both of my last visits. I argued and said no... its not about the money but about basic customer service. Their employees failed to charge me properly and they had two other chances to collect from me and explain what happened and did not. The two receptionists that handled the situation were awful. They made a feable attempt at apologizing and ultimately when I asked to speak to a manager, they looked at each other and decided that one would be the manager for the day. When they looked up the records to see who had helped me the last two times, they both said that the two girls that helped me previously were no longer with AAA Animal Hosp because of similar situations. Really??? How is that my problem now? I had to refrain myself from getting angrier and exploding. So I declined to have my dog be seen by them again and told them that I would pay whatever balance they think I owed. I dont want a balanace on the books for me. I WILL NEVER return to this facility again. It has become clear to me that they are not focused on customer service but rather just the money. Why else do they expect a dog to come back in 3 weeks for follow up shots that are not necessary??? Please dont take your pet here...I am sure you can find another place that will respect you and your pet more!

IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT YOUR PETS SURVIVAL, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT TAKE HIM/HER TO AAA ANIMAL HOSPITAL!!! For a this review, Im exchanging my mourning over my cats death for complete and utter anger. My cat wasnt eating or drinking, so I took him to this place because, after comparing prices online, they APPEARED to have the lowest costs. Let me tell you, taking your pet here will cost you in more ways than one. They put him on fluids and kept him for an ultrasound and blood work, for which they quoted me around 600 dollars. He was there for a week. During that time, they DIDNT FEED HIM AT ALL, nor did they attempt to. They recommended putting him on a feeding tube, which would have costed $1700. When I came to visit, I was able to give him THREE SYRINGE-FULLS of food. Did they starve my cat just so they could get me to pay for a feeding tube?? He caught some other disease while he was there, and when I came to visit him, he had a HUGE amount of mucous build-up on his nose-- so much so that he was forced to breathe through his mouth. I took a towel and wiped him clean; he was able to breathe normally after that. Why didnt the technician do that?? Were they even monitoring him?? They didnt groom him in any way. His claws were so long that it hurt him to stand. No shampooing. No oral care. No brushing. The doctor gave me some lame excuse, saying that grooming him in his condition could put him in shock, but for Gods sake, the technician should have done something! Its no wonder that he caught another infection there! After $1075 worth of testing, all they were able to tell me was what WASNT wrong with him. I repeat, AFTER $1075 DOLLARS WORTH OF TESTING, THEY DIDNT EVEN FIND A CONCLUSIVE DIAGNOSIS. I told the rude receptionist/nurse/whatever at the front desk all of my indignations with this place, and she told me that the doctor said that I can take my business somewhere else. HOWS THAT FOR PATIENT CARE?? Dr. Bishai used my cats life as a bargaining chip. Dr. Bishai is not concerned for the welfare of your pets. Dr. Bishai should be put in jail for the way he treats his patients.
