Make an appointment and still expect to wait OVER AN HOUR to be seen despite making an appointment. I suppose this place is convenient if you need to walk in but appointments should be first priority. My appointment was for 11:00 a.m. and my dog called in to be seen at 12:45, nearly two hours later!!! After it had been over an hour I asked the lady who checked me in how much longer the wait would be and she was very noncommittal/nonchalant about it. I sat back down and waited. Soon, the people sitting behind me started to complain that it was 12:30 and their appointment was for 11:30, and I told them I had been there since 11. Then a few minutes later, they call the couple behind me who got there a half hour after me! I stopped the lady who checked me in (short bob cut brown hair) and was walking that couple back and asked her to explain why people who had appointments after me were getting called before me and she just said that they were seeing a different doctor and turned and walked away. Despite the fact that when I made the appointment I said I had no preference and would see whoever was available. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! A young man who worked there saw how upset I was and came to apologize. He was very sincere and I felt bad for him, told him that I didnt blame him but Ive been waiting almost two hours with an appointment and now had other appointments I was going to be late for. When I finally got called, the rest of the staff, including the vet I saw (whose name I dont recall because he didnt introduce himself and the meeting was very brief), were very good. However, I got rushed out of the exam room so quickly I forgot to mention I wanted the doctor to review my pups immunization records I had faxed over to see what needed to be done. So when I was called up for payment while I waited for my dog to get worked on, I told the assistant to have the doctor review the immunization records and give her whatever she needed, which they did and was not very costly. While I waited for my dogs cut to be treated, the young man came up to me again and asked me if I was being helped, offered me water. At that point I had calmed down since at least my dog had been seen at that point. Whoever that young man is, he is great and deserves a raise. Woman with the brown bob cut, not so much. Then I get home and take a look at my pups cut they treated. It was very small but did not have a bandage or cover on it like the doctor told me they would put on. I picked up the phone and called at 2 on the dot to see if they made a conscious choice not to cover her wound (and not tell me that) or if they failed to do what I was told would be done. And the phones were already shut off. They also overprescribed antibiotics. They already gave my dog a shot of penicillin, she did not need a week long course of antibiotics on top of that for a tiny cut that was not infected. So basically, I left extremely irritated about the wait and then to boot I was given no explanation as to why her cut wasnt covered and they shut the phones off so I couldnt find out. I actually waited 2 days to write this review because I didnt want to post a knee jerk reaction while I was upset. But yeah, two days later and I am still extremely unhappy. They are very inexpensive, comparatively, but at what cost? They get a bump up from 1 star because the price is low and most of the staff were good. I will be looking for another veterinarian office.

I have very mixed feelings about this place as Ive had both very positive and very negative experiences here. First off, most of the tech staff is extremely friendly, attentive and helpful. I always call ahead for walk in items (nail trims, bordetella shots, etc.) just to verify that the wait isnt too long (I had to wait an hour one time) and the front desk staff is always friendly and responsive. Now onto the not so good. We have a newly senior dog who recently developed arthritis and we were doing everything we can to minimize the pain for our pup. When we brought in our dog for treatment we had to wait 30 minutes for the vet in the room. Afterwards, the vet came in and briefly looked at our dog and said based off our dogs xrays, she recommend a certain set of treatments. She told us another vet would come to talk about acupuncture and that she would come back to discuss the xrays with us and further treatments. She also told us she wold be prescribing some medications and than said she would be back later. Soon after another vet came in and after examining our dog, immediately began putting needles in him. Keep in mind, she didnt explain to us what she was doing (just making pleasant conversation) before she started going at my dog with the needles. Now I probably wouldve opted for the acupuncture anyway, but to just immediately start and not explain what was happening, really took me by surprise (not to mention I had no idea at this point what it would cost). After she apologized she finished up and stated she would return shortly. 45 minutes later she returned to remove the needles, afterwards she said the other vet would be back shortly. About 30 minutes pass by, the original vet walked by and was surprised we were still in the room (she told us she was coming back though?) and said she or a tech would be back to talk with us. 30 minutes pass and no one came, so I just walked out of the room and asked the front desk tech about the medication and when to come back for acupuncture. After I paid I just left. We had a friend of the family, who went in for acupuncture for her dog, had to wait an hour, and after informing the techs and than having to wait another 30 minutes, decided to remove the needles herself and just left the vet. I say my feelings are mixed because aside from these experiences, everything has been rather good. Sometimes the vets just get overwhelmed and than you start to feel like youre being treated like just another number on the list of things for them to do, which is not what I want when it comes to my dog. I will continue to go to this vet, I just hope that things improve, otherwise I will have to find another one.

Poor customer service, watched a dog escape from the place, and I waited 30 minutes for my appointment before walking out! Heres my story - So I moved to HB recently and went looking for a new vet. Based on these reviews I made an appointment. It was terrible, I arrived at 9am, for my 9am appointment, theres about 4 people at different stations across the front desk. No one looks up to me. Finally after staring at a girl for awhile she acknowledges me. I check in and she says oh youre here for a puppy check, and I said no, my dog isnt a puppy just a new dog to your office. She then argues with me(!) saying well the person who made the appointment told us it was for a puppy. I said well, hes 5 so what should we do? She said to wait and Id get called in. While sitting there I noticed there were dogs just roaming around. No collar, no leash, no gating, just walking around through the lobby. It was so strange, a lab puppy, a chihuaha, an austrian setter (which was attached at the hip with a worker). There was also a bird on the outside of its cage hanging out. Maybe they bring their pets to work? Which seems dumb in a vets office but I just dont know. So sitting and waiting, I watched yet another dog crawl out from under a bench and head towards the front door. This dog does have a collar and a leash but it doesnt look like its owner is there. I get the front desks attention just as the dog slips out the front door. 2 front desk people go outside saying oh no, thats the dog that doesnt like people, and the dog takes off in a run out of view, I didnt see the dog again so Im assuming they were still looking for it even after I left. For whatever reason one of the girls that went out to catch the dog came in and returned to her spot behind the desk. The other desk clerks didnt even blink! One girl told me that the dr. had just arrived and shell put us in a room - its 9:15 at this point. I say great, turn to pick up my purse and shes gone! My dog actually brought me to the room she was in, very poor customer service! I waited in the room until 9:30 and decided watching a dog run away and having a 30 minute late vet appointment on top of poor customer service was enough to keep me from going with this vet. I sure hope they found the dog that got away for the safety of that dog and the sake of that dogs owner.
