I always laugh when I read Google reviews that are either five stars or one star from anonymous users. And even better, one of them is affiliated with another vet. Here is my true experience with Best Friends Pet Hospital. Dr. Hardy is a very warm and compassionate vet who understands & respects the bond we have with our furry friends. They see me ASAP when my dog has an emergency. The service is good and the receptionists, who are actually vet techs, are generally friendly when they are not too busy assisting Dr. Hardy. I receive postcard reminders for shots and vaccinations, but you need to make sure their records are up to date to avoid notifications for services you opted out of or no longer need. Lets face it, like all veterinarian clinics, it is a business. Medicines must be bought, equipment maintained and techs hired. I pay a fair price for this service, and if my veterinarian is compassionate, that’s a big bonus. Dr. Hardy is genuinely passionate about animals...my animal. I only gave Best Friends Pet Hospital 4 stars in hopes that those of you will read thru the fake reviews and actually read an honest one for once. In truth, they get 5 stars from me.

They performed unnecessary shots, and prescribed unnecessary medication. They said it would cost $49.00 for an office visit, then charged $75.00 when they were done, calling it an emergency, even though it wasnt. When we asked for a refund, they refused. They said we could return the pain medication, then refused to take it back when my wife tried to return it. My wife was in tears when leaving. We said wed never do business with them again. They didnt care, preferring the $26.00 overcharge on the office visit instead of a happy lifelong customer. Stay as far away from this rip off puppy mill as possible. Theyll bleed you for every last penny. All they care about is money.

The staff at Best Friends has always been exceptionally kind, caring, gentle, and compassionate. And I see them a lot! Dr Greg Hardy is everything one could want in a vet. He and I always discuss all aspects of any situation, including possible tests and the reasons for them, possible treatments and what to expect from them, and so on. Its always up to me to decide how to proceed. Dr Hardy has seen me through the worst decision pet owners have to make, euthanasia, and did it with kindness and understanding. Hes saved my pets lives. I always feel welcome and appreciated. Cant ask for anything more!

The vet appeared and disappeared like a puff of wind and I was left with a $150+ bill for a five-minute consultation/exam. Surgery was the first choice for a minor dental problem (!), but I insisted upon antibiotics and my pet is now doing fine. Id be careful bringing my pet here.

Hes taken care of our dogs since they were puppies. They are 3 and 2 yrs old english bulldogs. Caring, compassionate and knowledgeable. The staff is awesome too!

I think they are probably the best that I have ever used on my 2 dogs and a cat. After getting ripped off by Dr. D for years Im glad I found them.
